Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Barren River Lake

Very cute house! Great amenities! We had a wonderful time playing games and hanging out in the backyard.

This was just a magical little place. My husband and I and our two teens all loved it. We only stayed two nights but spent them both by the outdoor fireplace, and I spent the mornings reading on the porch swings. We loved the pond with its bullfrogs and teeny tadpoles. The house is charmingly decorated and landscaped, and there are lots of thoughtful touches, like park maps, area guides, and bug spray (which we didn’t need in mid-April but I’m sure will be helpful later in the year). The bed linens were nice and bath towels were super soft and fluffy. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location is very close to the entrance to Mammoth Cave National Park - I think it took us about 10-15 minutes to reach the Visitors Center. We will absolutely stay again if we’re in the area!!

We had a great stay at the lake house. The views were beautiful and the house was very cozy. Alison was super responsive. Mammoth Cave was a short drive away. We visited Diamond cave and had a great time! I would definitely recommend Alison’s home!

Katie was a great host! We had an awesome time here. She was extremely quick to respond to any questions or concerns, and proactively gave me information that was super helpful. Would stay again!

This place made our family feel right at home. Great vibes! We received cookies and cookies after upon arrival. So sweet! She gave us great recommendations for their local distilleries, winery, and reminded me to book tickets to mammoth NP. The home was super clean and spacious. Our kids loved it. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the memories and beautiful hospitality.

Absolutely loved the Place 2B ! Such a modern yet cozy home. It was very neat and clean. The place was fully stocked and very accommodating. The host was so nice and very easy to communicate with.

We loved it here lots of land for the kids to play and be loud and wild like kids should be. Also very peaceful and beautiful country settings we will be back!

The cabin was rustic, decorated beautifully, and was great for our weekend getaway. There was lots to do in the surrounding area. Lots of antique stores, cute coffee shops and restaurants to visit. Our host were very responsive and answered all of our questions quickly. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone who wants to have a weekend getaway to just relax. The only issues we had were no access to firewood- had to find someone on Marketplace to get wood from because there was nothing local. Also, the cabin is very close to a highly traveled road so there was lots of car and truck traffic passing by all day and night. We had a lot of people call out to us and drive slow so they could rubberneck at the Airbnb.

Beds were super comfortable! Close to main road, but it was quiet. Very nice place, would definitely rent again.
