Lake house vacation rentals in Barren River Lake

Our group really enjoyed the patio and furniture outside. The stargazing was amazing. I felt as if I was in outer space. Almost slept on the back patio star gazing. We did fall asleep abruptly. The nature and the lake were a peace of heaven like passing through the solar system. Thank you.

Had a great stay. The place was perfect for a family gathering- plenty of room for everyone to be together while still having areas to sneak away from the crowd. Lee was a great host, always responsive! A++

This home on the river is absolutely stunning and had plenty of room for my family to relax after long days in the sun. All of the sleeping arrangements were great too. The two decks in the back of the house were an outstanding place to drink our morning coffee. The views and scenery were fantastic and even saw many deer walking within feet of the house. Wow what a place!!! Will definitely be booking again for next year.

This home was the perfect spot for our family Christmas weekend! It was decorated with a Christmas tree and kid friendly ornaments, many subtle touches throughout! The kitchen was stocked better than any house we’ve rented. It had EVERYTHING we needed to cook and eat meals together! The outside space was great and it was warm enough outside to enjoy watching TV on the deck with the fireplace. Thank you for sharing your home!

We had a wonderful stay at Neily’s for our annual family trip. The house was beautiful, clean and perfect for our family gathering with a great view of the lake. We had lots of room for four families with comfortable beds, furniture and clean bathrooms. The bunk beds worked perfect for our 6 young grandkids and they enjoyed the game room. The location was great for our trip to Mammoth Cave and other trails. We would definitely recommend and if returning to the area stay here again. Neily was also quick to respond to any questions.

Would stay here again with a larger group like we had this time around. Location is around 45mins from the Mammoth Cave Visitor center which worked fine for us. Relaxing and quiet place that was clean. Bed and furniture I used were comfortable. Working with Evolve slowed down the process to get resolution on a couple items, but nothing that would keep us from staying here. You can google a video on how to lock the door with the keypad if any help is needed.

If you are looking for a place to relax, this is IT!!! House has everything you need. Loved the view, fire pit, hammock, lake and the nightly visit from the beaver. Can’t wait to book again!

My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with this place! Everything down to what we needed to cook in the kitchen was well thought out. The home was peaceful, pristine and perfect for our Christmas in the mountains. We also enjoyed walking the mountain bike path behind the house! We feel restored. We highly recommend you stay here!

Perfect spot for a getaway with friends! Beautiful view from the back patio, comfortable and beautiful house, super comfy beds and pillows, and had everything we needed. Host was communicative and helpful! Would come back to stay again!

Only wish I had arranged for a longer stay Wish that I had arranged to cook dinner for our group in the beautiful kitchen instead of having a group dinner in a café at Mammoth Cave Lodge The back porch the surroundings are all beautiful. I will absolutely recommend this house and the adjoining properties as a wedding venue for my nephew.

I had an amazing stay with my boyfriend and dog. The scenery was amazing, I highly recommend bringing binoculars if you have them! Wild turkeys and deer can be seen everyday. The There was plenty of action on the lake for fishing and the pup enjoyed the huge open fields for running and playing. This is the perfect place to get away for some relaxing, and I will definitely stay again!

We enjoyed a family vacation with four adults and four kids aged 6-9. Pros- clean beautiful home and property. We all enjoyed the hot tub, and the swings around the fire pit. The house was private and spacious. Everyone loved the game room. It was about a 30 min drive to mammoth caves, which we went to most days to see caves and hike. After our outings we enjoyed a lot of time at the house playing board games and hot tubbing. Cons- my husband had to do some figuring out to get the hot tub to heat properly the first night. The outdoor furniture was a little lacking, it would have been nice to have a patio table for dining/playing games. Considerations- not exactly pros or cons but things I would want to know ahead of time- the area is very rural, which was peaceful and what we were looking for, but a drive to a lot of attractions. The house is on a large hill that I wouldn’t like for toddler aged kids. There isn’t really lake access at the house, but this wasn’t an issue for us.

Great stay! Super clean, great location, and very helpful neighbors! Beautiful front porch, and plenty of seating! We loved going to the dock as well, that was walking distance!

My family rented Eric's house for the Christmas holidays. We liked it so much that we extended our stay into New Year's. It is a perfect place for a family outing. Everything is new. There is a nice big open living room/kitchen/dining area with a full-sized refrigerator, all the cooking utensils you could want, a large table for playing games, plenty of comfortable seating with a reclining sectional, and a nice wall-mounted tv in the living room and each bedroom. There are two king beds, both very comfortable, and a set of full-sized bunk beds in a third bedroom, along with even more sleeping space in the open upstairs loft. Do be aware that there is a Jack and Jill bathroom between the two main bedrooms, so make sure you don't mind sharing. However, there is a second full bath off the dining area for those who desire more privacy. Eric and his friends decorated beautifully for us and were good to accommodate every request we made. We were very pleased with our stay. Highly recommend.

The property was very nice and accommodating for our group. We loved the huge open kitchen and dining space. The covered outdoor area was very nice as well. Unfortunate but understandable that we weren't able to use the dock due to recent flooding. The master bath shower door wouldn't stay closed and the hot tub wouldn't stay hot. Besides that it was a great stay!

Beautiful house, large enough for double the number of people we had (we were a group of 6). The rooms were great, the kitchen was stocked. The steps down to the lake right from the property was perfect for a quick dip in the lake! The outside patio and back area could definitely use a power wash to clean the numerous cobwebs and patio in general. The fire pit was great for s’mores. The basement couch was perfect for a family movie night! We never used the bunk beds but it’s a kids dream!!!!
