Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Barren County

Larry's house was perfect for a weekend trip to check out the caves. It is exactly as described/pictured and was very clean. There was plenty of room, and Larry was very responsive to messaging. Something to note that wasn't bothersome for us but could be to others...the beds are very firm. Overall, we would certainly stay here again if we are in the area.

Our stay was wonderful from correspondence with Vikki to the beautiful house, it has absolutely everything you need with great recommendations to local facilities. The golf course is gorgeous and Rusty's was so much fun with live music. I would recommend Herron Cove for a relaxing vacation and we definitely will be back.

We enjoyed our stay! It was perfect for a family of 4. Lots of space inside and outside. The front yard has the cutest tree swing and comfortable rocking chairs with a little catch and release pond. The kitchen was well appointed and the home was exceptionally clean! Our kids benefitted from the child’s stool to reach the sink. Lots of thoughtful touches to make you feel right at home. We were appreciative for the short drive to Mammoth Cave and other attractions. Our favorite places to visit were ACE’s coffee, Cave City Pizza, Mammoth Cave, and Abraham Lincoln’s Birthplace. Thank you for the lovely visit!

Beautiful and peaceful place to stay! Makes you feel right at home. Beds were very comfortable, place was clean and well kept! We loved playing board games on the back screened in porch, it was so peaceful! Enjoyed the pool table and dart board! Well worth the stay! Would love to stay here again! Our stay at the Hotel Alexander could not have been better. The accommodations, location, and comfort were top notch. We are already planning a return trip!

Very clean and spacious. The in unit laundry was very convenient. We loved the salon across the square for a quick little boy’s haircut.

Mandi’s place is a gem! Loved it from the moment we walked in the lobby! In a historical building redone with very nice upgrades, furnishings & decor! Extremely comfortable bed. All the things that are possibly needed are thought of & provided! Mandi was so sweet to provide tickets to a live band playing downstairs for Valentine’s Day! I enjoyed the music so much! We ate at the restaurant downstairs also which is delicious! Appreciate the 1200 noon checkout! We will be back & try one of the other beautiful apartments there also. Thanks again Mandi!

Nestled hideaway in the woods with beautiful fully screened in 2nd floor porch and fireplace. Expansive views of water and wooded areas. Felt a closeness to nature and very pretty interior and amenities.

We had such a good time, and Mary was so so very helpful! We ended up running into each other and she was so delightful to talk with. She gave great recommendations while we were down there and the place was so clean and peaceful. Exactly what we were looking for. I cannot recommend this place enough! She is so sweet and very responsive.

Had a great time here for my birthday. They had an awesome fire place with swinging benches and also a living room where we could watch movies on DVD. Great movie selection! In a semi secluded area, be that’s the exact vibes we wanted for a relaxing weekend somewhere close to Mammoth Cave. Super friendly hosts. Thank you for your help and hospitality!
