Simply Sailing is a quaint one bedroom, one bath cottage that sleeps four, located at Barren River Lake. The home has everything you need for your stay. Basic cooking utensils, a charcoal grill, TV with DVD player with movies and board games are there for the perfect family vacation. We have recently added a smart TV to the bedroom. We do welcome "small" family pets ($75 non-refundable fee) "Free Wi-Fi" We also have a cabin next door that sleeps 4 for larger groups called, Fishy Business.

This cabin is beautiful and clean. The location can be a little difficult to find, but the host is very gracious in giving specific directions. The lighted porch and cookies left with a note were wonderful touches. The bathroom is clean, and the coffee maker and toaster oven provide means for a nice meal or two. Depending on your phone company, you may not have cell reception (I did not) so the local provided WiFi is quite helpful. Overall lovely guest suite that has obviously been lovingly prepared for guests.

Everything was lovely, clean, and as pictured. I actually thought the space was a little bigger in person compared to the pictures. The back porch view was truly stunning! All the furniture and beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. I only had a few questions and Sherry was quick to answer. The recreation area nearby (5 min by car) was a great place to get down to the water.

We enjoyed our stay! It was perfect for a family of 4. Lots of space inside and outside. The front yard has the cutest tree swing and comfortable rocking chairs with a little catch and release pond. The kitchen was well appointed and the home was exceptionally clean! Our kids benefitted from the child’s stool to reach the sink. Lots of thoughtful touches to make you feel right at home. We were appreciative for the short drive to Mammoth Cave and other attractions. Our favorite places to visit were ACE’s coffee, Cave City Pizza, Mammoth Cave, and Abraham Lincoln’s Birthplace. Thank you for the lovely visit!

Lori is the consummate host. It was wonderful home to be shared and we were very comfortable from our arrival forward. Peaceful and quiet, beautifully furnished with all sort of thoughtful extras. We really appreciated her stocking the fridge with all of the necessities. We have stayed in many AirBnB's and this has been among the best!
