House vacation rentals in Ballina

Great place. Just down the street from markets, pubs and restaurants. Always available parking in front of unit. Well appointed. Clean and neat. Only complaint was that beds were terrible. No top sheet. And really uncomfortable. I’m not sure if this is standard Irish mattresses, but very thin and hard. Fine for a night but after a couple nights, we dreaded bed time. And very small for a couple to share a bed. But cool to wake to the bleating of the neighbor’s sheep. Baahhh.

Excellent hosts therefore we had a wonderful stay at Driney House and hope to return. 😀 All the kids were so happy they could all bunk in together in the room with all the beds, like a proper sleepover, telling ghost stories with a torch. 👻 We stayed for three days and happily never left the grounds. It was so relaxing to take in the view while the kids had plenty of activities to keep them entertained, out in the fresh air getting plenty of exercise. They would have even slept on the trampoline!😀 The pool was a great hit, there is no deep end as such so it was great for the kids, and great to play volleyball. There were life vests available for use in a range of sizes for those that couldn’t swim. From the first contact the hosts were amazing, they were so helpful with a great generosity of spirit. A lovely family with a very special guest house. It’s like an activity centre with the most amazing views on the lake…..but the bonus is you have it all to yourself! 😀

Our stay at River Cottage felt less like checking into an Airbnb and more like stepping into Anna and Luke’s thoughtfully curated retreat. Nestled beside a usually gentle stream, the cottage offered a rare kind of quiet. We found ourselves unwinding in ways we hadn’t expected. As if the place itself were helping us silence the usual rush of thoughts. The sauna and cold plunge, discreetly positioned at the water’s edge, added a touch of simple luxury. They blended seamlessly into the natural surroundings rather than standing out as flashy extras, even when lit up at night. We explored the surrounding area by car and found Sligo to be the perfect complement to the cottage’s peaceful seclusion. My wife and I already feel drawn back to this little slice of Ireland - eager for another chance to recharge in the calm that Anna and Luke have created. We’re also looking forward to seeing their next ideas come to life.

Billy and Orla are the super host, very friendly behaviour and responsive all the time. Checkin was so smooth that I can’t expect this from anyone else. Billy was present to welcome us and gave a quick tour of his beautiful house. A complimentary basket with lot of goodies and wine was great gesture from his. I must say the African wine was so great. Very quiet and peaceful place and open swimming pool across the block as well as a great kids play area. If I’m going again Mayo, definitely it will be Billy’s place. I will highly recommend Billy house. Thanks for everything Billy and Órla.

We really enjoyed our stay at David's Holiday Home on the Kilronan Castle Estate. The location proved convenient for day trips to Co. Donegal, Co. Galway, and especially Co. Sligo (which was one of our favorites!). The unit had everything we needed for our family of 4 (including 2 teens) to spread out and enjoy, prepare meals, and even do laundry (we stayed there during the middle of a multi-week trip to UK & Ireland.) Everything was as described in the place- and, importantly, the beds were comfortable. My family enjoyed exploring the castle grounds, while I (Sean's wife) splurged for a wonderful massage and Thermal Suite at the Spa. Hubby & I also enjoyed a Guinness in the castle Dungeon Bar a couple of nights during our stay. Check-in & other instructions were clear and easy to follow. David was prompt in following up with any questions we had. We would happily stay again and/ or recommend to others.

If you want to see the countryside and meet the real people, the locals of Ireland and be surrounded by beauty, plants, gardens, cows, sheep, and friendly people. This is a place to stay. It’s in a beautiful area. I had the most peaceful relaxing week and Shannon’s home was beautiful.

We received a very warm welcoming upon arrival. Both are excellent hosts. The cottage is as described and well equipped. We did not miss a single thing. Happy to recommend the 'hare cottage'. You feel at home the moment you walk in.

Geraldine’s house was perfect for our stay. The house is big with plenty of space for guests and great space in the sitting room and kitchen/dining area. The house was spotless and looks exactly as it does in the picture. Location is perfect, just outside the town of Ballina in a quiet estate. We stayed there for a wedding in Belleek Castle and the location was perfect, just a short drive to the castle. Geraldine was very responsive and helpful during the trip. Highly recommend.

we enjoyed a great stay here over Easter, it's a fabulous property. Very quiet and with stunning views, especially from the huge windows in the upstairs sitting room. We had a couple of days where the weather was awful, but our young children didn't mind a bit that we couldn't get out much because they loved playing in the house and enjoying the space. They were disappointed to leave. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quiet space for family or a group

We had a nice cosy stay at Angela’s place. Easy to find, lots of parking, very peaceful and not too far from the nearest town.

Our family absolutely loved staying in Finbarr’s place. The building was unique and full of history-which our history loving family appreciated. It sparked conversations about what we thought it was like when it was a granary, or the cattle shed, or the fisherman’s cottage. We felt in awe of the history we were sharing for such a brief time. We will definitely be back if ever we get ‘round to Foxford again!

We had a lovely stay at Caledonia. We were very lucky with the weather. it was a perfect base for exploring the area. The house had everything we needed.

We had a lovely stay. The house is huge, loads of space for our extended family group. We loved that there were 2 large bedrooms on the lower ground level. It meant the grandparents had a more private area for themselves. House is a short stroll to a local shop, coffee shop and pub which does great food! James was a great host and was quick to respond to queries. Would definitely book again!

Gorgeous property, very clean and even bigger in person than in pictures. The sauna is lovely however we weren’t able to use the hot tub as it wouldn’t heat even after a strong fire and a few hours and we weren’t able running out of wood.

Great location and host, ideal for family staying in Enniscrone, just 5 min walk to the beach. Clean rooms, bathrooms and kitchen. Even have travel cot for babies, highly recommend! Easy flexible check in! Thank you!

A beautiful place to stay at in the countryside! The Parlour was so cute and rustic inside and very comfortable. Ann was a responsive host and we took her recommendation for a nice walk along the nearby lanes. Altogether a lovely stay.

I do a lot of evaluation work and was surprised to see a 5.0 rating with that many customers....however, the ratings were right. First of all, Michael did an amazing job in renovating his family home. So beautiful and classy. Next, the "goodies" that she has stocked in her home are beyond what I've ever seen in my many Airbnb stays. Anne was responsive to any questions that I pose and gave me the ability to rest. If you are in the area or traveling through - make sure to reserve this home. You'll not want to leave! Thank you Anne and Michael for providing this haven on my recent visit to your area.

Great location, Nicola gave great instructions and directions which made getting there and checking in seamless and the house was so cosy we felt right at home! Would definitely recommend staying here!

This is a great location, it's so close to the beach as well as to all the village amenities. This small, 2-bedroomed house is bright, clean and comfortable with the kitchen well stocked for cooking. We had a minor problem midweek and June answered my text very quickly and sent help. We highly recommend.
