Villa vacation rentals in Ballena Bay

This was by far one of the most beautiful AirBnB's we've every stayed at. It really felt like a mini resort. We had two families, and everyone was able to have their own room and space. Most of our time was spent in the gorgeous pool or in the outdoor kitchen. The pictures are accurate, but everything is more wonderful than the pictures. There is wildlife everywhere - gorgeous birds, geckos, howler monkeys down the street. The pantry off the kitchen protects your food, and we had no problems with bugs (we were told it was the time of year). We did have a couple of friendly birds that begged for food, but they were amusing to watch. The location, though remote, is in a gated community and was very safe. It was only a 10 minute walk to a beach that seemd almost private...not more than a few dozen people at a time on a beach that had to stretch for a mile. Do not hesitate to rent this place!!!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the stay at Villa Santa Terese with the convenience of the beach and local Rocamar restaurant when we didn't fell like cooking or wanted a cold smoothie after surfing! The Villa was super clean and had basic kitchen supplies. While the walk to town wasn't bad, we typically drove as we were always coming and going through town. The pool made for a nice repose from the saltwater beach. Would definitely stay again!

Staying here was simply amazing. It felt like we were living in paradise for 2 weeks and every day we discovered a new animal! The house is stunning and well equipped and communication from our hosts was excellent. You will require a 4x4 to get to the property and the main supermarket is about 20 minute drive away. There are many activities to do in the area and all details on how to book them are provided by Brendon. We highly recommend staying at Pure View Villa - you will regret it if you don’t!

Great place to stay if you are looking to relax. The place is surrounded by a beautiful forest and has a big pool. Good internet connection and appliances, you can cook easily if you want. Nice restaurants and supermarkets pretty close, still not walkable, you will need a car (not 4x4 required). Very nice hosts who respond in a matter of minutes.

Absolutely wonderful stay! I visited with a few of my college friends, and everything was seamless and smooth from start to finish. The place was picturesque in every way—beautiful, well-maintained, and exactly as described. It was also perfectly located, close enough to the beach and nearby restaurants to make everything convenient and hassle-free. The host was outstanding in communication, always responsive and helpful, ensuring that we never had any lingering, unanswered questions. Overall, a flawless experience—I highly recommend it!

Semaine de rêve dans cette villa perchée dans les hauteurs de Dominical. Piscine, jardin et nature incroyables. Intimité exceptionnelle. Maison disposée de façon unique. This two-story condo #3 is a gem of a place on one of the flattest, accessible beaches on Costa Rica's Pacific Coast, Playa Flamingo. The Palms condo community is a mix of renters and owners - everyone was friendly without being overly intrusive. The onsite management was professional and responsive. There are a lot of staff onsite all day (bartender, groundkeepers, construction, etc.), so please know this when considering your privacy preferences. Condo #3 is situated toward one of the ends, so beachfront is in front of it vs the pool area. Steps from the fitness center and outdoor free equipment storage/massage tent. The condo was clean and comfortable. The master bed and pillows were very comfortable. Two picky things I suggest are charging stations for each nightstand and an outlet in the master bathroom for a hairdryer/electric razor. A 15 minute walk from the marina, and several shopping and restaurant options. Would highly recommend The Palms, especially unit 3.

Wonderful stay, clean, spacious and modern. Pool was fantastic as were the showers in the unit. Wished we could have stayed longer!

Villa Laya is truly spectacular. The house offers privacy and is very well designed offering spectacular views from every room. Bernice was a great host and was very helpful. I’ve stayed in a lot of AirBnb’s and this one was truly special. I seriously can’t recommend it enough!

Our stay at Antonio’s place was nothing short of amazing. Antonio was super helpful and responsive to all requests. He made our stay stress free as he provided awesome recommendations for a driver as well as a personal chef for my birthday. Cannot recommend this place enough! If you’re considering it for your stay in Costa Rica, do it. :)

Ramona’s place is truly a Pura Vida paradise! It was absolutely perfect accommodations for our extended family of four adults and five children. Everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom, the amenities were extensive, everything was extremely clean and organized, and the backyard/pool area is a relaxing oasis that was hard to leave. Not to mention the short walk to the gorgeous beach with an amazing cafe and restaurant was the icing on the cake! Ramona was the most responsive and helpful host I’ve ever encountered, and we’ve stayed at many Airbnb’s. Her recommendations and answers to our questions helped plan our entire vacation. I would have to say this has been our favorite place we’ve ever stayed at. Don’t hesitate…book it now!!

La Perla is a lovely home and garden. We enjoyed our time, hanging around the house and pool...and we saw a lot of wild life right in the yard (howler monkeys, iguanas/lizards, crabs, parakeets, other lovely birds). It is a short walk to the beach to watch great sunsets or walk in the interesting tide pools. You are in close walking distance to Playa Hermosa (15-20min), which is the nicest beach for swimming in our opinion. Most importantly, you are not in the busy Santa Teresa stretch - you are north of it. The house is close to the road so you will hear traffic but not a huge deal and did not affect sleeps. Raphaelle was great at responding to any questions and providing suggestions. She arranged our transport to/from the airport and our ATV so that it was there when we arrived. The daily cleaning is also nice.

Three of us stayed at Wanderlust to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Highlights of the accommodations were the incredibly comfortable beds, the peaceful atmosphere and the fantastic hot tub. What really makes this place stand out is Jai. Jai could not have done more to make our stay a magical occasion. She provided us with impeccable food and drink recommendations, connected us with local, trustworthy transportation and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Jai really is a special treat. We all hope to be back someday.

This house was amazing! Truly at great set up for a group of adults or families wanting their own space but also a place to hang out together. The owners were super helpful and took great care of us the entire stay! We had a few hiccups on the trip and they there extremely fast on responding and getting the issues resolved. They even bought us dinner and drinks one night for a few small inconveniences. This house by far has been the most time we spent at the actual house in during a vacation. Beautiful and relaxing.

We had a great stay at Villa Loulou 🌸 the house is very well located, it has the best configuration when traveling with kids, the best view, and everything has been decorated and maintained with such great care 🌸 and last but not least, Clair and Christophe are the nicest and most helpful hosts, we will definitely be back 🌸

My friends and I (group of 8 ladies) stayed here for one night at the end of our girls trip vacation in Costa Rica. Lily’s house is absolutely gorgeous. We all had plenty of room and enjoyed our last day in CR. It is close enough to walk to a Fresh Market. The grounds keeper, Nery, was available for any of our questions and very helpful and friendly. It was very close to the airport. Loved our time there and we all wished we could have spent another day or two there to enjoy the beautiful house.

Ideal para familias o grupos. Excelente ubicación: cerca de la playa y lugares de interés. Muy amplio, techos altos, fresco, organizado y funcional. Residencial seguro, privado, muy tranquilo, con bella arquitectura y personal amable y atento. La casa impecable en limpieza, comodidad, amenidades, con mobiliario y equipamiento funcional y de muy buena calidad. Muy linda vista y disfrutable piscina. Excelente relación calidad-precio. Jazmín solucionó un tema con los A/C y fue flexible con la salida. Altamente recomendado.

El condominio es precioso muy tranquilo con playa privada, restaurante y supermercado no hubo necesidad de salir fuera la casa muy linda mejorada a las fotos de la publicidad y Laura siempre estuvo pendiente a mis consultas y muy amable me permitió estar con mis 4 perritos eso fue lo mejor definitivamente queremos regresar gracias por dejarnos estar en su casa nos encanto
