5 Stars — Absolutely Amazing Stay! Our stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how clean, beautifully designed, and well-stocked the space was. The host was incredibly responsive and thoughtful — they made sure we had everything we needed and even left a few personal touches that made us feel right at home. The location was ideal — close enough to everything we wanted to explore, yet peaceful and quiet at night. Whether we were relaxing on the patio, enjoying the local scenery, or cooking in the fully-equipped kitchen, every moment felt effortless and enjoyable. We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs, and this one truly stands out. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to all our friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful experience

Hands down, this was the best AirBnB experience I have had to date. The property is exactly as advertised, the location is safe, secluded, and serene (especially during rainy season). Andi and his wife are incredibly helpful and gracious hosts. We communicated daily about best times for the cleaning/maintenance crew to perform their duties around my fluid and unpredictable schedule. They assisted with my transportation to and from the local airport, arranged my ATV rental for the week, arranged both an in-home massage therapist and an in-home chef, provided numerous specialized individual recommendations for restaurants, hikes, excursions, etc. I will absolutely be returning to The Green House in the future. This is an absolute gem!

We had such a lovely time staying at Casa De Celeste. The property was absolutely gorgeous and in close proximity to town and adventures. It was the perfect getaway before our wedding. The caretaker Vincente was so kind and very helpful. He truly made the place feel like home. We will return and are looking forward to that day. I highly recommend this property.

Pictures do not do justice to the view from this property ! Host was amazing , recommend renting ATVs , host arranged for them to be delivered for us, we loved riding them into town , to the beaches and visited Montezuma and the tide pools. We look forward to renting this property again on our next visit to the area !

Excellent accommodation

We had an amazing time at this beautiful home tucked into the jungle. The setting is very serene, with the sound of the river always in the background and the plethora of wildlife all around. The bed was very comfy, so a good nights rest was practically guaranteed. There are a few things I would note for anyone considering the home, especially if this is your first visit to the area. It is a 10+ minute rocky drive to the home off the main road, not a big deal with a sturdy car. Especially during rainy season, there’s a good chance you’ll lose power at some point, but seems to be restored quickly. Most places, including this home, discouraged you from flushing toilet paper, an adjustment from home. Being that this place is so small, there’s not a ton of privacy between the bathroom and bedroom, and the living area is not meant for lounging. That’s what the outdoor spaces are for! This was an experience unlike any other we’ve had in our previous visits to CR, I highly recommend it!

Excellent property. Comfortable, spacious, clean. Very quiet area. It's very well equipped. The pool is a good size to enjoy to the fullest. Very attentive hosts, always ready to help. There is a restaurant and supermarket inside the place which was very convenient. It's worth it. I recommend it.

Our family of three adults, a preteen, 4year old and 1 year old had a wonderful stay. More than enough room. The place was exactly as described. Absolutely stunning. Everything and more you could ever need. We never left the outdoor/ pool area. The casita was a lovely edition for my sister in law. We had a small issue the day after check in but hosts were quick to respond and resolve the issue. Place was immaculately Clean. The community itself is fantastic. Restaurant on site was nice to have available. Highly recommend staying at Macaw Haven.

Our stay here was amazing! Chris and Hollie were extremely responsive throughout our entire stay and provided great recommendations for local restaurants, activities, etc. We highly recommend a 4x4 if available for the drive and enjoyed the scenic views along the trip up the mountain. The house is perfectly designed with modern features and everything you need to ensure you feel right at home. The back porch was incredible for morning coffee and enjoying the views of the beach and jungle, while listening and seeing the wildlife surrounding us. We were extremely comfortable during our stay and enjoyed opening up the doors at night to let the cool ocean breeze pass through. What makes this place extra special is Chris and Hollie. We enjoyed getting to know more about them, the property, their vision for future projects, and you can see their genuine joy for hosting guests. They were readily available when asking questions and made sure we were comfortable. Thank you for a great trip!

This place is AMAZING! We came here on our honeymoon and were blown away by the beautiful surroundings and the attentiveness of the hosts. The breakfast provided was so nice, and felt like a feast! Even more enjoyable sitting and eating the meal in their outdoor common area, you truly feel like you’re just sitting on a mountain. It was lovely getting to know the hosts. They provided us with fun recommendations on things to do. We drove down off the mountain one of the days and took surf lessons in Samara! One evening we drove about 15 minutes down the road to eat dinner at Restaurante Teosinte (highly recommend checking that out while you’re in the area). Be sure to pay attention to their specific instructions on how to get there, those were very helpful. Especially having a 4x4 is very necessary. The hosts have created a fantastic stay in the mountains of Costa Rica and I’m so grateful they did and offer it available to be enjoyed by others! 10,000x recommend this place!

Had an amazing stay ! Location gives you a real feel of Costa Rica, she was not kidding when she said you need a 4X4 to access the property. Love the home, love the view, and love the easy communication with the host.

Had an insanely beautiful stay at Casa Marmara! Spent 2 weeks surrounded by beautiful nature & felt right at home. The house is STUNNING. It felt so open & relaxing with the doors that open fully & the pool right outside. Everything was spotless upon arrival and the cleaner came every 3 days! The beds were super comfortable, AC was very powerful, and had no issues the entire stay. Ricardo was super responsive and always replied quickly when we had any questions or needed recommendations! The road to the house is rough, so definitely have a 4x4 car or rent a quad in ST, but it’s the perfect mix of close to town and private/quiet. Very safe neighborhood as well! Cannot recommend this place enough, definitely coming back for another getaway in the future!!

Where to start! Stayed here as a family of four with young children and were warmly greeted by Gisselle. She thought of every detail to make sure our stay was memorable. She is a phenomenal host! She also helped coordinate a horseback riding adventure. The house was comfortable for the family and in a good location to all sorts of activities. The shower was a really cool experience and a highlight for the kids. They also really enjoyed the net and worked hard to set up a fort for themselves up there. Highly recommend this place!

This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever experienced. It is very private and peaceful with breathtaking views and the gentle sound of waves from the beach below. The house is quite spacious, attractive, and clean and we really appreciated the pool in the evenings after spending the days at the beach. Also loved the rooftop deck on clear nights for stargazing. The gardens around the house are magnificent. Santos, who planted everything at the house, gave us a tour of the various flowers, palms, and fruit trees including mangos and carambola, two favorites of my kids. He also guided us down the private path to the waterfall which was wonderful. Mireille is an amazing host and checked in with us regularly. Casa Marimango was everything I was hoping for and Montezuma was the perfect location. We hiked to nearby Playa Grande from the town and there were literally five other people at this amazing beach. Will definitely return to Montezuma and stay here again!

The hosts were so nice and helpful, we asked about the night walk last minute and they were able to offer it. The daughter even let us know when she spotted a sloth outside. She gave us many reccomendations for restaurants and markets. She even answered all my questions extremely quickly. We felt like family the whole time we were there. We were greeted by their dog Camila every morning. The place is very clean and had all the basics needed. It was a secluded private area, felt very safe and was very peaceful at night. Also you can see different types of birds and butterflies every morning, right in your backyard. Also there was hot water which was great.

Gorgeous, light-filled, well-stocked place! We loved every minute of our stay. The pool was definitely a major highlight. Comfy beds.

This home had beautiful views, a wonderful staff, and was a superb find for our family’s Christmas vacation. Santa Teresa is amazing and we had some of the best food on vacation ever! Our host , Brano was very responsive and our local helpers were amazing. There is a housekeeping staff on site, but they respect your privacy and keep watch over the property. They brought us extra towels when needed and were overall extremely respectful and helpful. For those traveling to this location, I strongly recommend either a car or ATVs as the home is located up a steep driveway. It is walkable (and there are 150 stairs to use instead) but to do this on a daily basis, you would have to be pretty fit and young. In addition, there are stairs from the driveway to get down to the house and these would not be appropriate for anyone with balance or stability issues. They were fine for us at 50 years old, but should be a consideration for anyone with walking or stability issues. We had a great time!

Perfection. Absolute perfection. The other reviews are spot on. Just book it already. The views can’t be beat and no picture can do it justice. Everywhere you look it is beautiful and magical: the jungle sounds, the sunsets, the amazing flora and fauna, the details and thoughtful touches. It is so perfect it is almost overwhelming. Every day, I couldn’t believe I was there. And the hosts! They are amazing! They are genuinely kind and generous, not that fake used car salesman nice. They are the real deal. Anything they recommend, just do it. Use their concierge service and do everything! You can’t go wrong. We would have stayed longer and plan to go back soon.

We had a great visit at the Bahia Ballena house . The house was super clean, spacious and had everything we needed. We were also allowed to check in earlier which was a big plus. Lauren/Michelle were super responsive. The location of the house was perfect- not too far from anything. The nature around was breathtaking. My teenagers loved the pool! We surely would stay again. Excellent, nice, clean and very beautiful place

Our family stayed for ten nights as a home base to explore the Pacific side of Costa Rica. The pool was fantastic! I especially enjoyed the bottom pool that doubles as hot tub (when my kids weren't in the upper half splashing the cold water into it). The pool is very large with lots of space for splashing, and there is so much wildlife and bird-watching off of the amazing porch and decks. We were mesmerized by the scarlet macaws that flew by and sometimes roosted nearby. Being in the mountains, you are literally in the clouds. It was other-worldly when they rolled in most afternoons. So cool! Indoors: we utilized the kitchen quite frequently, making dinner every night. Kitchen was well stocked with supplies for cooking. The living area was very comfortable and great for watching TV together in the evening. Bathrooms and bedrooms were well-appointed with what we needed, and the washer/dryer was great to have, as we are light packers and did get muddy some days. Overall a wonderful stay!
