Wow. This place is magic. We cannot believe our luck, as this was the first place we considered, and then didn’t bother looking elsewhere. The grounds are comfortable and charming, and our cabin was clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable. And there were friendly kitties, and a sweet dog to hang out with! We didn’t venture out much because we were just so happy and relaxed, right there. Our hosts deserve all of their excellent reviews. They have created a sanctuary, and we’re so glad that we found this awesome little vacation spot. We will definitely return. We recommend Rustico Lounge for your next visit to Mexico!

The cool dome was as described. It was very easy and convenient to get to all of the birding spots we had picked out. Our only MINOR complaint was that it was very close to the highway so did not make for a relaxing outdoor space, but we had no problem with noise. Everything was very clean, the kitchen was well set up so we could could cook and eat at home. There was lots of space to sit and sort photos, do puzzles, read, play games... Highly recommended.

The host went above and beyond in making us feel welcome. The environment inside and outside was very relaxing and we especially enjoyed watching the variety of wildlife, large and small, from the many view facing windows. It was a treat to see such a variety of birds up close to the home and to have an opportunity to explore for others nearby. Also, the close proximity of excellent hiking trails added to the enjoyment of the location. We look forward to a return visit to this special place.

Super nice place where we felt comfortable and “at home” from the very first moment. Fabiola and Steve are incredibly kind hosts. The Casa is super cozy, with plenty of space and lovely interior design details. The shower was excellent – hot water and great water pressure. The veranda and rooftop are perfect spots to hang out, relax, and enjoy the sea view and sunrise. Too bad the restaurant at Casa Xolo was closed – we had heard the food was amazing. It would have been nice to know that in advance, as it was one of the main reasons we chose this place for our stay in La Ventana / El Sargento. Luckily, we still got to enjoy the delicious food with breakfast served right on the veranda of our Casa. Really tasty and healthy, though at 300 pesos per person, a bit pricey compared to other great breakfast spots. We absolutely loved staying at Casa Xolo and would come back anytime we’re in Baja again.

Immaculate space! Stunning view of the city, mountains and beach. Beds were super comfortable, place fully stacked. 10/10. Beyond the space, he was Responsive to all my inquires and provided recommendations as requested. Would highly recommend
