Rabina was very friendly and open. She shared some local stories, recommendations, and the best places for hiking near Kathmandu. The room was clean and spacious, with big windows and good natural light. There was easy access to a very beautiful and spacious rooftop from which you can see the city and the Monkey Temple. My stay occurred during the Holi festival. Rabina and her family gathered all the guests on the rooftop for a morning celebration. We put colours on each other, danced, and enjoyed very tasty homemade food. It was my first Holi festival, and I felt very welcomed; from the beginning of the day, I was in a festive mood! Overall, it’s a beautiful place where I felt welcomed by a very warm and helpful family, and I felt right at home :)

Bhadra was a fantastic host along with his family. I went with Bhadra for a a trek to Annapurna base camp, I had an injury that might have flared up, so we adapted the plan to allow for that and for proper acclimatisation. Bhadra knows the mountains really well and has lots of friends in all the guest houses. He’s really easy to be around and is an excellent host and guide and his rates are fair for his experience level and for his level of English. I can see myself coming back here and I really didn’t want to leave!

Lovely place and what a sound dude Nirbhav is! I was lucky enough to stay in Kathmandu for a couple days around the new year, and Nirbhav gave me some tips for local stuff to do and gave me a lift around on his bike which he totally didn’t have to do! Also his mum was around one morning and cooked me a lunch which was super kind of her. Wish I was able to stay longer so I could get to know Nirbhav better!

The three-story vacation home is surrounded by lush greenery and features multiple balconies. Sunlight casts a warm glow over the well-kept garden, where a sun umbrella provides shade. The structure combines urban charm with a peaceful outdoor setting.

I'll keep it short and sweet. We booked you a place with 6 people for 2 weeks. The area is quiet and safe, there is a small shop right around the corner. The Beerville offers delicious food and drinks at pleasant prices, so you can also stay longer. The accommodation is equipped with a bathroom per 2 rooms, the shower heads take some getting used to but otherwise there is no complaint! Quick feedback from the host and a point of contact is available/available throughout. If I visit Kathmandu again, I will visit/book this green oasis again. Really nice spot in the middle of the "city chaos", like a little trip into nature when you stop at the property!

Rajmi's place, like Rajmi herself, is thoroughly charming! The house is located in a quiet - actually silent, at night - neighborhood, within easy walking distance of the Thamel tourist area. The room and attached bathroom are clean, with a big bed and super-comfy duvet. It was cool inside, despite the relatively warm weather outside. The Internet is fast: 20 Mbps, up and down. Rajmi picked me up from the airport (for less than a normal taxi, I'm sure), welcomed me with a cool drink, booked my bus ticket, and then escorted me to the bus station the next morning (after a tasty breakfast of tea, fruit, and puff pastry.) She also gave me a personal, walking tour of Thamel. (Her English is excellent.) The evening ended with tea and biscuits in her kitchen. Simply amazing! Honestly, I cannot imagine how Rajmi, a fully employed professional, will be able to find the time to provide this level of service for all her guests. But I'll be forever grateful that she found the time for me.

I liked everything about Pemba's place: beautiful house, nice neighborhood, friendly and responsive people. There is a famous Pashupati temple area within a 10 minutes walk. The host helped my with arranging a bus ride to Pokhara, the bus stop was within a walking distance from the house.

Cosy Rooftop Double Room with nice view

I had the rooftop room which has a spectacular view. The building is a 10 min walk from Thamel, the only disadvantage is that the road is not paved so during monsoon it is extremely muddy all the time. Rabina and her family are very friendly and helpful people. The place is highly recommended.
