Words cannot describe how blessed I was to follow my intuition and come to stay at the Nar-Bis Hotel. First the hotel is gorgeous. Every detail is throught through and highest quality, from the beddings to the plumbing, the rooms are high end. Made with traditional materials, just like the whole building, in beautiful red brick. All this for an extremely affordable price. Second, the view is insanely beautiful. Overlooking the Fewa Lake, and surrounding hills. A few minutes away from the hustling and noisy Pokhara, but super close still, you can rest and enjoy the best of Nar-Bis: M. Santosh’s family. Him, Mrs Chandra, and Miss Nita just go above and beyond in every way, and you instantly feel at home. The food is delicious, and enjoyed with a vista you won’t find anywhere else. Now, the miracle: M. Santosh is an incredible biker (with his Himalayan Enfield), guide, and human being. Going with him to Mustang was just one of the highlights of my life, that I intend to repeat.

Absolutely outstanding experience. We loved everything about our stay and definitely will come back. Ramakanta and his family were very welcoming and treated us like dear friends. The house and the land itself feels like a unique and magical place, existing with a total harmony with nature. At the same time, there is everything you might need, i.e. hot water and a Wi-Fi. Don’t expect hotel-level treatment though, it is more of an eco home stay where you will be in contact with the family most of the time. Just come with an open heart and you will love this place.

If you are into hammocks, yoga, meditation, sound healing, being away from the city bustle, vegetarian food, farming, having kitchen access, and gracious hosts then you have found your Pokhara destination. Access to a yoga studio and kitchen is a huge plus. Rooms are basic but spacious and romantically rustic. They have yoga classes and retreats available, though we were free to practice our own. Great value altogether for what you have access to. Also on the way up to Sarangkot if you're feeling in the mood for a good 2-3 hour hike. A little hard to find at night but they are excellent with communication.

We had a fantastic time at this homestay. Getting there was a little tricky because the house wasn't located where the airbnb map said it would be. We were able to work this out because our taxi driver called Ramakanta for location details, but I would recommend confirming location while you still have wifi or just having Ramakanta pick you up. The house was architecturally stunning, beautifully decorated, and relaxing. We had the best afternoon naps. Ramakanta and his wife were wonderful hosts, constantly making us feel welcomed and making sure we were fed. Ramakanta is someone who is proud of his family and his village. The feeling of positivity was infectious throughout the whole stay. I definitely recommend this location if you are looking to escape the tourist heavy areas and understand Nepali farm life (but while being catered to and with hot showers). Our jungle walks with Ramakanta were the highlight of our whole trip. I personally was looking for a way to experience Chitwan without contributing to any unethical treatment of animals. Ramakanta offered us real and raw exposure to Chitwan. Overall fantastic stay and a perfect addition to our otherwise "on the grid" Nepal vacation.

We had a 2 day stay at Ishwor’s place! (One day initially, extended for one more since we instantly fell in love with it.) The place is carefully crafted to suit and nourish your soul! Right from wholesome satvik breakfast, their sound healing sessions, beautiful scenery and the stillness in the atmosphere. The host was very kind to give us an early check in and also catered for our transfer from the bus stop. Not only that, he helped us book our flight tickets to Kathmandu and he also recommended some great suggestions and places in Pokhara. The staff was like a family. If you are looking for a soulful getaway, this place is MOST recommended!!!

One of the most beautiful and quiet places I've stayed in Nepal. Hosts are very helpful and can provide anything needed including delicious food. Hot shower is a little difficult but also can be arranged, which is a small trade considering the rest that this place provides.

The time with Binu and Dilu was super nice! I have rarely felt so much in a home as if I were visiting family. Dilu picked us up from the bus with his car. Binu immediately welcomed me with a warm embrace. The two are so warm and helpful! The house is located at the edge of the village and is surrounded by a great garden. However, the central points of the village can be reached in 15-30 minutes on foot. Binus Daal Bhat was the best we ate in all of Nepal! She showed us her daycare, where we were directly welcomed by the staff and played with the children. We were greeted with Tika, Khata and flowers. If you are looking for a little home on the trip, you are in the right place with Binu and Dilu. Thank you for everything!

i felt very comfortable in this homestay. The family is very friendly and service oriented. It was the perfect combination between a homely environment and my own privacy. The room is very cozy and tidy. I walked nicely nearby and sat on the terrace to read a book. I can recommend a stay here to everyone!

My friends and I had a wonderful time in the Ramakanta's house. He and his family were very helpful and anything we needed. They organized a trip by jeep in the reserve; it was amazing! Ramakanta is a surprisingly caring person. He met us at Bharatpur ( it takes almost six hours!); and also pursued and put our group on the bus to Kathmandu. I definitely recommend cosy and authentic house Ramakanta to stay in Chitwan!

The landlord Sarita is very friendly and kind, with an angelic smile. She provided a lot of local travel tips and took me to many local activities. She can provide meals at any time, which is just as comfortable as living at home, This is the warmest family hostel I have ever stayed in, Thanks a lot for Sarita did for me. Will stay again when I back from Pokhara .
