Serviced apartment vacation rentals in Avcılar

We have used 2 apartments in this property. The owner (Isil) is probably the best host we had over the years. After our arrival, she had almost 2 hours with us, walking around the neighborhood, tell us about its history and suggest us many restaurants and shops. When we had any issue or question, she was there to reply. The one to have in mind is that the building is old and traditional (wooden) which means there is limited soundproof. On the other hand, the neighborhood is quite, beautiful and traditional with all the necessary shops nearby. Distance from the center is 15' using buses & trams which are very frequent & cheap (using Istanbulkart).

Işil is the hostess withe mostess. Honestly, her hospitality is amazing. She coordinated taxis for me, greeted me, gave me a tour of the neighborhood and we chatted into the evening. Meeting her was truly one of the highlights of my trip. I loved her place, it is clean, warm and very well appointed. One day I hope to come back with my husband and see Işil again.

This ground floor apartment ( 1st floor for we Americans) was perfect for my stay. This place was within minutes walking to all the cafes, restaurants and shops. And to the side of the apartment is where everyone goes to take pictures of all the beautiful popular colorful buildings that make Balat so iconic. They film many Turkish Tv Series and films in the area for its old charm. The host was amazing. She gave a me a tour of the village and she definitely knows her history and Balat very well. She will give you the best recommendations of places to eat and coffee shops that serve worldwide award winning coffees. As a coffee lover I appreciated that. The place is a very beautiful unique historical apartment building. Very cozy place for me (solo traveler) to stay. If and when I return to istanbul I will definitely stay at this building again. Next time I want to try the apartment at the very top floor :-).

the apartment was as clean as seen in the pictures. it was warm enough for me in the winter weather, The Host Isil was warm, receptive and kind towards me. (such a sweet and pleasant lady) I felt at home in the apartment and I would definitely stay here again.

Resepsiyonda bulunan arkadaş Ahmet bey güler yuzlu samimi ve çok yardımcı oldu. Tavsiyeleri ve önerileri gayet yerinde ve çok yardımcı oldu. Özellikle kendisine teşekkür ederim. Kalmayı düşünen kişilere burasını tavsiye ederim.

Son derece keyifli , eksiksiz bir mekan konaklaması yaptık. Yer merkezi ulaşım kolay ve kaldığımız konut oldukça yeterliydi. Şahin beye de hızlı yanıt ve gerekli bilgiler için teşekkür ediyoruz. Tekrar konaklamak istenilecek bir yer.

We really enjoyed the location. Very close to the cafes and restaurants but far enough for peace and quiet. And just up the hill from the Balat tram station for easy access although very walkable to the Helic (metro station) and Galata Bridges.

Bir hafta Murat’ın evinde misafir oldum. Kendisi çok kibar ve yardımsever biriydi. Eve nasıl ulaşacağımı çok güzel bir şekilde tarif etti. Sonuç olarak, taksilere fazladan para harcamadım ve daha ekonomik bir yöntemle (otobüsle) eve ulaştım. Orada kaldığım süre boyunca tüm sorularıma hızlı bir şekilde cevap verdi. Eve gelince, sabahları güneş doğarken yatak odasından harika bir manzara görünüyordu. Yatağım oldukça rahattı, odalar sıcak ve temizdi. Şehrin turistik merkezlerine gitmek için çok yakın bir durak var. Trolleybus durağı ise eve yaklaşık 10-15 dakikalık yürüme mesafesinde. Kısacası, kendimi evimdeymiş gibi hissettim. Eğer yolum İstanbul’a düşerse, yine orada kalırdım.
