Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Australasia

So comfy and warm, this is a wonderful place to experience Tasmania's south. Louella's home sits on a small rise overlooking the Verona Sands beach, and this view changes continually with the weather, daylight and tide. At night, the stars are amazing. The home itself is comfy and cosy. We stayed in May, and the air con and fireplace meant we were always warm. Beds are great with lovely linen sheets, and one bedroom has a window seat for quiet book reading. The beach is so close and an easy walk, as is another walk along the coast starting in the reserve next door. Cygnet is 20 minutes away with its cafes, galleries, shops and grocers - all of high quality, and if you'd like lunch at a winery, Home Hill is a 40 minute drive. So good we lunched there twice. The kitchen is fully equiped, and while the oven is a bit tricky to operate, there are instructions and Louella is a phone call away. A great place to turn off the world and relax. (well just a bit, the wifi is great!)

Absolutely stunning views, you walk outside the sliding doors that overlooked the pool and it is breathtaking. The house was in very clean condition. I was able to take my children to the stables that’s on the property to feed the horses, donkeys and dogs. The kangaroos came to the front of the property each morning. Honestly a 10/10. Hosts were very helpful too, were super responsive and helped me find a private chef that came out to the property. Thanks again

Sadly only a quick one night stay but we loved every minute. Jacqueline has thought of everything and kitchen is well stocked to cook a great meal. We were happy sitting outside to eat & relax and enjoyed the butterflies & birdlife. Looking forward to a return visit, just needs to be longer. Thanks Jacqueline

We had a great stay at Mallacoota Magic. The house was very comfortable and spacious. The wrap around view of the lake was just stunning. So peaceful and quiet and lovely to see some kangaroos up close, grazing in the surroundings. Thank you so much for the added extras you supplied. We felt very welcomed.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful property. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true home—not just a holiday rental. Everything was so well maintained, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully set up to make our stay comfortable and stress-free. Ben and Tess were exceptional hosts—warm, welcoming, and incredibly accommodating. Communication was seamless, and they went above and beyond to make us feel at home. It’s the little things that really stood out: a pantry stocked with essentials like olive oil, a lovely selection of teas and coffee, and even fresh milk waiting in the fridge. These thoughtful touches made such a difference. The decor throughout the house was absolutely stunning—stylish yet cozy, with so much attention to detail. And the views? Absolutely breathtaking. The home is in the perfect spot, with scenery that you’ll remember long after your trip is over. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

Lovely getaway! We really enjoyed our relaxing mid week stay - lots of walking, sitting by the fire, and the home was comfy and spotless. Definitely would agree that you should pack your cheese platters and most meals for ease. Would love to come back again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay at Earie, the hot tub, firepit and sauna was amazing, the views over the water while enjoying the hot tub, you have to experience it for yourself.

We had a wonderful stay at this cosy little place for our long weekend staycation. The home was super cute and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. The bed was incredibly comfortable and warm, so we slept very well! We especially loved the fire pit which was perfect for enjoying a hot chocolate under the stars (the marshmallows provided were to die for). The heated bathroom (as well as the luxury bath linen) was such a bonus and made getting out of the shower so much nicer on chilly mornings. Her guidebook and local recommendations were perfect, and we discovered some great restaurants that we wouldn’t have found otherwise. And meeting her adorable fur babies was such a treat! Would absolutely stay again.

Great place for our base to do the Charlotte’s pass hike. Perfect for two people for the weekend! Clean kitchen, comfy beds and very warm. We absolutely recommend :)

Wonderful cosy home that is close enough to town to make exploring easy, while remote enough to be a quiet and peaceful place to relax.

Overall a nice place to stay. Peter was super responsive and he replace the shampoo immediately when I told him it ran out.

Very relaxing stay at Kerrie's 2-bedroom place. Well-furnished with all you need. Cereals, croissants, and milk in the fridge were nice touches. Beds are very comfortable. 2-minute drive into the centre of Merimbula for shops and restaurants. Pleasant headland walk nearby. Kerrie was away and her stand-in was responsive and helpful. We can recommend Kerrie's place.

This is the perfect air BnB while in Bowral. We had two nights here with a little dog and it couldn’t have been better. The place is so gorgeous and there is a safe fenced area so our dog was safe. Just up the road is a great old pub and a few min drive you’re in the heart of Bowral. The accommodation was exceptional with the world’s most comfiest bed and linen. If you’re looking for a beautiful air BnB with or without pets you honestly cannot go past this. We loved it 😊 We cannot wait to return!

Beautiful home and fantastic host! Super clean, elegant space with a very large kitchen, living space and incredibly comfortable bed. Scottie was extremely accommodating with both our 11pm check in and use of the spa under the stars. Always available to help, we felt right at home and loved feeding the sheep in the morning!

Medlow Bath is a fantastic, peaceful location near to Leura, Katoomba and Blackheath. Denise was a wonderful host and provided us with many recommendations for the area. The space was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

I cannot put into words how beautiful Moosehead Lodge is. Matt and Rachel have gone above and beyond to create a space that is peaceful and comfortable, and the effort shows the second you pull into the driveway. If you're after a getaway to disconnect from the world and reconnect with yourself and loved ones, this is the place to come to. The beds are comfortable, the fireplace is warm and the nature surrounding is heaven. The house guide was an awesome way to know everything you need to know. And the recipes were such a nice touch! Thank you again for such a beautiful stay! P.S. the woodfire pizza oven is incredible!!

I have been to many luxury hotels in Bali but this stay exceeded my greatest expectations! It cannot be described, it simply has to be experienced! I was speechless and for 3 days I could hardly eat from the excitement. The best experience in Bali! it will be very difficult to top this place and my delight! A very clean and cosy house, with a functional kitchen, multiple sitting spots to enjoy a book, great heating/cooling system and comfortable bedding. Orchards Nest. Where do we even start? This place is absolutely incredible, so beautiful and so secluded. The house itself has this cosy cabin feel with so many unique touches. The hot tub and the view are definitely the highlights of this property. We had a small elopement here and it was honestly such a beautiful and intimate location and space! Esther is fantastic to deal with as well, so kind and thoughtful! 10/10 recommend!

We had a wonderful time at Serendip Shack! The place is stunning and the sunrise flooding in through the bedroom was really something special as well as the kangaroos greeting us every morning. We loved the outdoor shower - especially in the rain and the big outdoor bath tub is something we aspire to have on our own property one day. 5 stars for this perfect long weekend getaway!

We had a great experience staying at this peaceful and cozy cabin! The space was extremely clean, well-maintained, and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. It’s tucked away in a quiet, secluded area, which made it perfect for unplugging and relaxing away from the hustle and bustle. It rained and was cloudy for most of our trip, which added a certain charm to the stay—even if we didn’t get as much sunshine as we hoped for. There were a few brief power outages during the heavier storms, but nothing too disruptive. Just something to be aware of depending on the season you’re visiting. One thing to note: the cabin is quite isolated, so unless you have a scooter or car, there’s really nothing walkable nearby. We had transportation, so it wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s worth keeping in mind for planning purposes. On a fun note, we met a super friendly dog on the property who made us smile every time he came by—such a sweet little surprise! Overall, it was a relaxing and enjoyable
