Great suite walking distance or very short drive to downtown - would stay again for a future weekend visit

My husband and I decided to extend our honeymoon stay in the area and the lodging we had been staying at couldn’t host us for the extra day, which is how we came to find this gem! We loved this apartment and wished we could have stayed longer! The location was great and the home itself was just STUNNING. From the low lights & jazz music playing on arrival, to the cute & homey decor, to all the extras (robes, espresso, cozy blankets), this place completely impressed us. Oh, and the outdoor area was just an extra plus! The host was super responsive and sweet and couldn’t have possibly done anything better, it was all perfect! We would 100% recommend this stay and we hope to return for an anniversary trip!

Nina’s place is very nice and comfortable. It’s a great value. We were traveling home with our pups after four months away and it was great for them too. There’s a good dead end side road where we could walk the dogs. It feels like you are in the country but you are still very close to JMU campus and town. Nina is very kind and responsive.

Despite not being able to enjoy the place for an extended period of time. It definitely is as described, “A place to rest”. I had an 8 hour drive from CT so I arrived around 12:30 midnight. It was extremely peaceful and was able to get a good night rest. Will go again if need be.

We have been staying at the storefront for about 15 years. Jamie and her team took over and the updates they have done are absolutely wonderful. The creation is incredible to walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants and the accommodations are always great especially having your own little personal bar.

We absolutely loved Martha’s place! Great location, especially being so close to everything. Bed is super comfortable! The best part is how clean the apartment is, it is the cleanest air b&b we have stayed in! Martha has everything you need for your stay, including breakfast! Highly recommend!

The Bohemian Suite was such an absolute pleasure to stay in! When I walked in, I was immediately surrounded by an inviting space, colorful and fun decor, and beautiful signs everywhere with cute quotes. The bed was big and comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, the place was spotless. They thought of the details- had stocked the Keurig area, had a chess board set up to play, books in the reading nook, and even provided makeup towels! One thing I loved was that they did not have a TV out in the open, but did have one tucked away in a closet which was easy to roll out into whichever room you choose. Super clever and thoughtful! The ceilings in this suite were so high and gorgeous, it made the space feel huge. Walkable to everything in the town, easy parking, felt super safe and quiet. We absolutely were sad to leave to the Bohemian suite!

We loved our stay at this condo in Wintergreen. The condo was beautifully furnished. Very clean. And the views from the balcony are unbelievable. Since it was spring, it was very quiet which we enjoyed. The mountains were so lush and green. The host responded to any questions within minutes. Check out was a breeze. We will be booking again!

Such a nice little house. private and quite. If we need a place to stay when back k in town will stay here again. The drive way is supper steep so be ready for that, but it was fun.

Our stay here was awesome! Jayme was most attentive and responsive when needed. The house was fully equipped with all necessities so nothing was lacking. The peace, quiet, tranquility and beauty of the area makes visiting this place again a must!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay and was regretful it was for only one night. The views with the full moon was breath taking , 360 views and fireflies at night with a bench swing outside! Inside had everything you needed for a goodnight sleep. The bath tub we didn’t use because it could have been a bit more cleaned from a prior stay but otherwise we loved it. It has a nice rustic charm, nothing overly fancy. The absolute star of the show is the property and how well maintained the grounds were! Check in and out was very clear!

A few blocks from downtown. The home was spacious, comfortable, beautiful. It was quiet and private I enjoyed my stay fully and hope to come again.

Great stay! Perfect location and space was great. A tad smaller than what it looked like in the photos, but overall, great! The kitchen did not have any pantry space, but we made do with a shelf above the microwave and bins on top of the fridge. A day prior to check-in, I received an email stating the pool in the complex was closed for repairs. A bit disappointed at first, but it ended up working out really well. We had access to the SPA indoor and outdoor pools and the outdoors ended up being too cold to swim in. The indoor pool was no problem at all and they were very accommodating with lettings us have access throughout our stay. We would stay here again for sure!

Amy and Gareth made sure to think about every detail. They made sure that the purpose of our trip was celebrated. Amy provided a list of local recommendations and it was so helpful! The aesthetics of the house is also so natural and relaxing. There was no need to stress out about anything because the house came fully equipped. The walking path down to the river was also so beautiful! We cannot thank them enough for such a memorable time!

Barb & John’s “Beauty in the Shenandoah” is one of the best Airbnbs our family has stayed at. We made this gem our home-away-from-home during our daughter’s graduation weekend at UVA. It is about a 30-minute drive to Charlottesville, which was perfect for us so we can be away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic and crowds during graduation weekend. The property is pristine and peaceful, allowing us plentiful space both indoors and outdoors to create memorable moments together as a family. Barb was so respectful, responsive, and gracious… welcoming us with personal extras and warm congratulations to our graduate. We are so happy with our stay that we have already booked again to return for our son’s graduation the same time next year. Being a fellow Airbnb host, I can say that these hosts are the epitome of hospitality. Our family is looking forward to May 2026 (or we may just fit in a weekend getaway even sooner)!

We loved the Little Yellow House! How incredible to stay at an historic property that is literally a part of American history but has been updated to make you feel right at home? This space is surprisingly large for a "cottage" built in the 1850's - perfect for a couple looking for a place close to downtown Stauton - within walking distance of everything. The house was spotless and like other reviewers, we loved the back porch and rocking chairs - we even had two baby bunnies and crew of baby birds join us in evenings while we watched the beautiful sunsets. Please be sure to step into the lovely backyard and read about the history of the property next door - this isn't just some "run down building" you are parking next too. This is a piece of our heritage that has been preserved for us, and future generations, and it's really incredible that we rested our heads on the comfortable bed just a few feet away...We would definitely stay again.

Communication was great, the location was nice and the description of the facility was spot on. It was roomy and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Diana’s beautiful home. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and waking up to the sunrise each morning was a breathtaking experience. The home was comfortable, serene, and perfectly situated to enjoy the natural beauty all around. Highly recommend this wonderful retreat to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at your condo. It was nice to be in a newer unit. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is great being walkable to Fire and Frost, a coffee/wood fired pizza restaurant, and we prefer the upper mountain location also being walkable to golf, tennis and trails. We hope to come back to Wintergreen soon. It is a great place to relax!

Fantastic place to stay and a very good host. Communication from the host was always extremely fast, detailed, and helpful. The space itself is fantastic - perfect view of the Blue Ridge Mountains skyline and sunset. Also, especially in the skiing off-season (which it was for our visit), it’s very close to Devil’s Backbone, Bold Rock, Three Notch’d, etc, but you are still far enough away to feel like you’ve gotten away from everything. There’s also a solid-looking pizza restaurant in walking distance, though we did not make it there during our visit. The condo has 2 stories that both serve their purpose very nicely - the upstairs has a nice living space and a clean, very usable kitchen. The downstairs has bunk beds and you could walk from the downstairs patio to the slopes. In the offseason, there is a nice hiking trail that is no more than 100 yards away. Overall, we had a blast and would love to return! Thank you!

Wonderful condo with amazing views. Close to hiking trails, and a restaurant right across the street. Watching the sunrise on the deck is so amazing and peaceful. Lauren is extremely responsive.

Very clean and a great place to sit back and relax after a long day out. The living room features two sliding glass doors with screens, which was perfect for the weather in early-June. That and the covered balcony was where we sat back and relaxed.
