Farmstay vacation rentals in Augusta County

Our friend squad (3 couples) loved our stay at this adorable home! Sarah was easy to communicate with and super responsive! The house had everything we needed and was VERY clean on arrival. Having bathroom and kitchen "necessities" provided was a nice bonus. This house is located directly on the Nelson 151 Trail so it is super convenient to wineries, breweries and restaurants. Our weather was not cooperative so we didn't get to enjoy the lovely firepit out back with the nice views. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others!

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Alison’s house and really enjoyed our time here. Beds are comfy, house is spotless, kitchen was very well stocked with cooking supplies and dishes and pantry essentials. I enjoyed sitting on both the front and back porch and reading, listening to the wind chimes and watching the cows munch grass. Alison has selected beautiful art, dried flower wreaths, antique furniture and cozy rugs etc to fill the house and it all feels special and not generic like so many Airbnb’s can feel. You can tell this is a beloved family home. Alison was very responsive and tried to help me troubleshoot issues with the wifi which was so appreciated. We ended up enjoying our time “off the grid”. Thanks Alison, hope to return someday!!

This was a perfect two night getaway with our family. The house is very clean. The views are beautiful. There are lots of things to do in the area not far from the house. We enjoyed taking the short path to the brewery for a couple of meals. The food is great! We sat by the fire and soaked in the hot tub. Martha’s instructions were very easy to follow to check in and checkout. She was very responsive. We appreciate that she also offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in the area. Sallys place reminds me of how Airbnb used to be.. renting a place for a night or two without spending a fortune. Easy check in/out plus a comfortable stay. What more could you ask for? Thanks again!

This is our second time here and we love it! It’s very beautiful, quiet, peaceful and super comfortable and clean. It’s always great to chat with Pete and Kyle, and with 2 kids at JMU, we hope to come again soon!

The carriage house had beautiful views of the mountains. This loft served as a perfect anniversary getaway.

From the first glimpse of the rolling farm hills and quietly grazing cows we knew we had a good place to get away from our ordinary lives. Brendan met us when we arrived at the quaint location: rambling farm home and adjacent out-buildings close to a lovely stream with weeping willows, wild flowers. Brendan helped us with our luggage and showed us around so we could get the most from our stay. We took walks along the farm roads and enjoyed our time in and out of the house. The outdoor shower was fun and I loved the deep claw foot tub.

We loved staying here! The grounds are beautiful, the yurt is rustic and lovely, and the hosts are communicative and friendly. It was such a joy to wake up surrounded by serene woods and greeted by the professional welcome squad (Felix the Cat!). Mary and Dave are excellent hosts and are so generous to share their gorgeous property. We can’t wait to stay here again!

The cabin was really nice with comfortable accommodations and everything you need. There is a road that runs in front of and behind the cabin that has quite a bit of traffic on the weekend as the road is an entrance to a park/campground and it was a holiday weekend. This was a benefit to us though as we love to hike and could walk to or drive within a couple of minutes to several really great trails! Having the heated in ground pool for my daughter was amazing and when we had some issues with Bees the owners handled it right away. This is definitely a cabin in the woods by the water so come prepared with bug repellant. We did venture out to some local wineries and a lavender farm/winery but would have been just as content to enjoy the cabin and the property! Overall we really enjoyed this place and would totally go back when we are visiting the Harrisonburg area.

Wonderful stay in a well appointed and cozy but not small Airbnb. Pleasant decor and furnishings. They really thought of EVERYTHING to include down to flashlights and travel coffee mugs (and more). Their guidebook was super helpful and Carolyn even helped me understand if grocery stores would be open on Easter Sunday, our arrival date. The king mattress was super comfortable. Great location, nearby so many attractions. We would happily stay there again.

House was very nice, lots of nice little touches. Easy directions on everything. Very communicative. Not in their control or their fault but it was a bit hard to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit with the smell of manure, so just FYI depending on the wind!

Kathryn was a wonderful host and made our stay very comfortable. We had a great time and truly appreciated the thoughtful hospitality. She was kind enough to allow an early check-in, which was a big help for our schedule. The detailed guide provided was super handy and made settling in easy. Our kids had a wonderful time, especially with the toys available. When we noticed a missing battery in the remote, Kathryn responded immediately and resolved it right away. We did have a hiccup with the AC not working one evening, but she was incredibly apologetic, communicated openly, and even issued a partial refund without us asking. We really appreciated the honesty and care. The house was well-equipped with everything we could need, from toiletries and kitchen utensils to camping chairs and kids’ toys. The attention to detail made our stay comfortable and hassle-free. Overall, a very communicative and easy-to-work-with host. We’d happily stay again.

Great place to stay. Amazing views from the house which is situated on a hill overlooking a valley. It is beautiful. So fun to be out in the country, relaxing and peaceful. Everything you need is in the house. All 9 of us had our own space. The pool table was a lot of fun. Close to downtown Staunton which is a fun place to walk and eat. Totally would come back and we would recommend this place to everyone.

Everything was just as described! We loved sitting on the back porch with our wine, cheeseboards and books watching the storm roll in over the mountains. We could not have asked for anything more!

The house was very lovely, located in a great location. with beautiful views. It was not far from many locations with many activities and things to do. If we ever have the opportunity to stay there again we most certainly will!!

Breanna and her husband were very friendly and easy to get a hold of. The place was out of a fairytale and couldn’t have been cozier. My boys loved the bedroom loft and we enjoyed all of the windows in the bedroom. It felt like sleeping in the woods without sleeping in the woods! Afton is beautiful and full of wineries and breweries that suit both kids and adults.

The House on Mole Hill is a winner! The house was spotless, with all necessary amenities (the bathroom towel warmer was a real indulgence!) for kitchen and bathroom. Great location for access to both Dayton (Silver Lake Mill Virginia Quilt Museum was our destination) and Harrisonburg shops and restaurants. Such nice touches like A&W Root Beer and iced cold mugs in the freezer, bottled water, Keurig coffee, and fresh cinnamon roles. We didn't need our electronic charging cords as the house was equipped with 2 cord free phone chargers and 2 charging stations with 4 different connectors to accommodate most devices. Thanks for a great stay, Gerald!

Excellent stay! Exactly as pictured. Beautiful views and nicely decorated, updated and comfy condo. I’m sure it’s great during ski season but so peaceful and restful in off season. Responsive host. Highly recommend this spot!

I loved my time here! It was very nostalgic for me having grown up in the mountains of rural parts of Northern California. The sound of the flowing water behind the cabin, the walking bridge, fresh air and being tucked under all those trees and greenery really made me feel like I was back home. This was a 2-day solo trip for me to wind down, enjoy my solitude and take a break from my very stressful government job. Suzanne was an amazing host, provided info for local restaurants and grocery stores before I even arrived. The cabin is so cute and was immaculate throughout. Definitely staying here again!

This house was perfect for our family of 5. It was extremely clean. The backyard is huge and it’s on a great road for a family walk. The kids loved seeing the horses down the road. It's close to everything! Hosts were very helpful-

The country oasis was a well taken care of home. Beautiful inside and out!

We enjoyed our stay at Linda & Todd’s guest cottage. It was very clean, comfy & cozy and was in a beautiful private setting. Lots of wineries, breweries and distilleries within a 15 min radius. Our hosts gave us some great recommendations for nearby hikes. We did the humpback rock hike which was short but very steep. Cool view from the top. We also did the Blue Ridge tunnel trail. Highly recommend. They also provided us with some nice amenities…coffee from a local roaster, granola bars and oatmeal packets for breakfast. The beds were also comfy. We would not hesitate to recommend their place to family and friends.

What an amazing home! It is spacious and beautiful. Mark had it fully stocked with all the essentials. The location is a gorgeous countryside within minutes of restaurants, grocery stores, the mall and Massanutten. Mark was great at responding to all my questions. Definitely recommend this location and host

We had the most amazing stay! The location was perfect and the views were incredible. The house itself was spectacular! You can tell the owners put a lot of time and effort into making sure their guests have a perfect experience. I cannot recommend this house enough.
