Le Cedre - cottage in the grounds of Chateau

Le Cedre was originally built as an artist's studio, so it has lovely light and has a view of the Chateau (which is run as a chambres d'hotes) and a majestic blue cedre tree. The ground floor is open plan with a modern kitchen and dining table for six. The main bedroom on the first floor is very large with the original chestnut floors and has huge windows. There is a curious relic set into the wall, which we have preserved, thought to be from an ancient destroyed abbey.

Small Berry house in the heart of the grove

This small house is located 5 minutes from the A20, 10 km from Argenton-sur-Creuse, 10 km from Saint-Benoît-du-Sault, 14 km from Eguzon: you can easily discover this beautiful region. Please note, the house does not have Wi-Fi and the phone network is not very good: you will therefore be forced to relax, rest and enjoy nature! In winter, heating is only by wood-burning stove. You can sit in the armchairs, nice and warm.

We had a great weekend at Hélène's, it's a beautiful house, very well equipped, quiet with all the comforts, it's very spacious, the house is ideal for family gatherings. The accommodation is as advertised and the value for money is very satisfactory. The one and only negative point (already communicated on the previous reviews) is that there is only one toilet in the house, and only one sink... nothing bad, but given the sleeping capacity (9 people) it is important to know this information before, so as not to be surprised on arrival :-) Otherwise no complaints, everything was perfect, the house was clean and well heated, and Hélène was super flexible for our arrival on Friday, allowing us to arrive + earlier than expected, and also for our departure on Sunday, allowing us to stay longer and enjoy this beautiful house, which is not always the case. Congratulations Hélène for all your efforts, and see you soon!!

An extremely attentive and caring host, a very spacious family home, well thought out, equipped with everything you need and even the superfluous, rich with many beautiful books, decorated with care and refinement, in a very relaxing environment. It's like going back to your grandparents' house to reconnect with real life, all simple and natural. Thank you for the boots of all sizes which were very useful for walking in the hollow paths, by the stream... A really lovely family weekend. We'll be back for sure, maybe even a little longer. This place is a real gem. Louise and Pete are excellent hosts, very discrete but always there if you need anything, and we loved chatting to them. The place is cosy, clean and peaceful with a great view. We came away feeling incredibly rested and happy after exploring the local villages, kayaking down the river and spending two very happy afternoons at the local lake. I’d recommend this place to anyone!

The house is very beautiful, quiet and very well-equipped. The wood burning stove is a real plus during the cool seasons. The small living room in the back with its veranda is much appreciated. Keep an eye out for the rather slippery terrace. And there is a downside on the rate of electricity that is charged. There should be a change of supplier contract ^^

We were hosted very well by this lovely couple who were very brave to have beautifully renovated this house. Perfect place for us because it's quiet, in the countryside not overlooked while being 5 minutes from the city center. The house is perfect, nothing is missing (which is rare), everything is designed to ensure you have a good time. Bed made on arrival, towels, tea towels, coffee and dishwashing products, salt, pepper...NO complaints! Two donkeys nearby, very cute and very discreet. a large terrace that makes you want to bask on a deckchair on sunny days or have lunch outside. We will definitely come back. Thank you for your kindness

We had a great time with friends. In the expert hands of Emmanuel, host of unparalleled kindness, benevolence and energy. Always present to respond to our requests, with flawless responsiveness, we were able to have access to all the amenities necessary for our comfort. Also, he was extremely present to advise us on the best spots and activities in the area, all very good suggestions / addresses. Finally, the house offered a quiet, intimate setting sheltered from view, with all the right amenities. A perfect disconnection (because yes the network is not very present) to have a relaxing vacation. And finally, between the swimming pool, table tennis and pétanque terrain at home, we didn't get bored for a single moment. Clearly, we will come back to the area without hesitation 👌🏼 Thank you for everything. Vincent, Sami, Elisa, Caesar.
