Wonderfully relaxing family holiday spent at Georgio’s place. We had a warm welcome and send off and George was always available when we needed him, at the same time also very respectful of our privacy. Local restaurants served good traditional food. The port was accessible by bus service and about €15 for taxi to Rethymno Port, although in my opinion should be considered if you are staying with young children or elderly, and so would consider hire car if you wish to explore local area. The villa’s pool was very clean and welcoming in the hot sun, and we all enjoyed the sweet and savoury treats that were baked and left for us during our stay, amazing! Overall we had a fantastic break and highly recommend a stay in Villa Rogdia.

As a solo woman traveler and digital nomad, this was a perfect first stop on my journey. It’s a very safe area with a supermarket next door and a variety of cafes, bakeries, and restaurants in walking distance. I did not rent a car but I was perfectly fine with getting a taxi to go into the city center or to the beach! I got a great deal on a 4 week stay and the host is hospitable. I have 0 complaints, highly recommend.

This place is ideal for families, but also couples. Super great location and everything you need is nearby. The host Giorgos is always helpful and gave us several tips on what to do in Crete. Giorgos' family who live upstairs are also very warm and hospitable. At no time were we disturbed, but we were even brought delicious fruits several times by the family. I would recommend this place to everyone and definitely come back.
