Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Athens

Our host Margaret was very easy to contact and replied quickly. There was one minor mechanical issue on Friday night but she had it resolved almost immediately and caused us no problem at all. The house is spacious, private, and ideal for a large group--we used it for a bridal party to stay before a wedding, and to take photos and get ready the day of the wedding. Highly recommend this house and this host with no hesitation.

We stayed a week in January 2025, and this is now our go-to first choice place to stay when visiting family in Athens. Easy, relaxing, peaceful, clean, lots of space. It made our week so much more relaxing than staying in a hotel.

Jon was a wonderful host with a beautiful home! His communication skills were top notch so check in & check out were a breeze! We had a wonderful time!

This house is perfect for any family. We came to visit my Uga student and we had a great time. It was spacious to have the kids over for a home-cooked meal too. It was a great family weekend.

We stayed at Mary's home during Thanksgiving holiday because we have family in the area. The home was perfect - very cute, super convenient to get to Hoschton and in close proximity to shops and restaurants in downtown Brazelton and the highway (I-85). We always appreciate hosts that allow us to bring our dogs. We took some walks around the neighborhood and stopped by the local brewery one afternoon, who welcomed them as well. Mary was very responsive with communications, was flexible with an early check-in request and provided us with a helpful app to lock and unlock the door when the front keypad was temporarily out of service. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to be able to return the next time we are in the area and need a place to stay. Thank you, Mary!

I had such a great time at this Airbnb! The place was super clean, and the homey decorations made it feel so cozy and inviting. One of my favorite parts was the chickens in the backyard—such a unique and fun touch! The entire experience was perfect, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We had a weekend stay for a friend’s wedding in downtown Monroe. This is such a cute little space. We greatly enjoyed seeing the chickens as well!

The place is wonderful and feels new, actually I think it is. Everything was clean and well maintained. The layout of the apartment was really good. The only thing I think should be changed is the checkout time; 10:00 am is really early, maybe 12:00 pm will be a better time. Also, to have a Publix so close is wonderful. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming Airbnb! The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful and serene, making it the perfect escape from our daily hustle and bustle. The hosts were extremely attentive and communicated wonderfully, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was the sweet and kind horses on the property; interacting with them added an extra layer of joy to our experience. If you appreciate rustic history this is the place for you. The updating and modernization was just enough to be completely comfortable but also appreciate how old the house was that we were staying in. Yvonne was great and stayed in contact with us in case we had an issue finding the property (which we did not), and even had some bread from a local bakery waiting for us. The place was close enough town to enjoy all that Athens has to offer but also be able to enjoy the quiet Georgia countryside.

One of my favorite Airbnb’s of all time! This cabin is open and beautiful! It’s 10 minutes from Monroe yet you feel like you are totally secluded! As a solo female traveler, I felt so safe and at home. The cabin is so clean and beautifully decorated, and the host responds quickly with any questions.

This cabin was perfect for my family to spend a few days for Thanksgiving! We truly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful cabin, and we prepared a great Thanksgiving meal in the well-equipped kitchen. We also made use of the great card table upstairs. The wooded property was lovely, and we had hoped to use the inviting firepit, but it was windy most of the time. We hope to revisit this cabin soon!

Charlene’s cabin was better than what even the photos showed. Beautiful living space and the river is closer than you think. Linens smelled like they came fresh from the wash. Plenty of seating and all the food storage options made cooking for 7 a breeze. I look forward to going back!
