Above and beyond. Great place, beautiful surroundings (some spectacular garden surprises nearby) and welcoming extra’s- thanks for the fresh bread and groceries!!! The family did not want to leave. Till next time…

Absolutely lovely cottage, even better than the photos. Host also provided amenities and fresh bread which was such a treat, really cute get away for a short stay. Only thing to note is that the main road is close so you will hear cars driving past all night and windows face the public/ other guests.

Our stay at this treetop house was absolutely wonderful! The property was impeccably maintained with all the amenities we could need. The spa was a definite highlight - clean with perfectly hot water that was incredibly soothing after exploring the area. Alan was very helpful and responsive throughout our stay, which we greatly appreciated. The self check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, making our arrival a breeze. The location couldn't have been better, with shops and charming cafes within easy walking distance, yet still very private and peaceful. We loved being able to stroll into town whenever we wanted. Overall, this was a fantastic spot. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home!

The Observatory Cottages at the top of Mt Dandenong has been the place to stay in the ranges for years, and with good reason! We last visited Ironbark cottage 20 years ago and we loved it this time as we did two decades ago. It’s extremely cosy and private and you can easily spend a whole weekend at the cottage without leaving! The spa and gas log fire place are highlights, adding to the warm and cozy vibe. Penny leaves great provisions for a cooked breakfast for two mornings and there’s a kitchen if you feel like staying in. She has great communication and is very responsive if you need her for anything. A beautiful choice for a weekend of R&R. Highly recommended.

Lavender Cottage is absolutely beautiful. Lovingly built by Brett, and fitted out with the most wonderful olde worlde decor and furniture. Brett thought of everything, with lovely touches like fresh orange juice and eggs, and a nice selection of teas.

Great place to stay. Secure - a little haven in the middle of pubs and restaurants and Albert Park. Tram to the city is really convenient and going the other way gets you to the beach. What more could you want?

We had a lovely three night stay in this comfortable cottage with our small dog. It was a very comfortable home to stay in with lots of thoughtful touches. Vicki was a great communicator before we arrived and also provided plenty of helpful information in the house. We felt the location was perfect with the beach and general store walkable and many other sights only a short drive away. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was a wonderful place to spend the night with family. More than ample space to host a lovely family dinner and board games afterwards. The fireplace made it all the more cosy.

I have stayed at Thackeray many times. it's the perfect location on the beach.. great bike rides... easy to park... close to everything and Alyce is continually upgrading equipment in her home so everything works! highly recommended. a unique place with beautiful character.

A lovely quaint home. Soft bed linen and comfortable bed. Fabulous shower pressure. Most enjoyed the light filled,sunlit lounge. Looking out the windows to greenery was special. Old world garden my favourite.

amazing home away from the city. we appreciated the small gestures such as ensuring we had brekkie and the toys were great for our Lil man and the dog bed and toys too for our Lil fur child too! very communicative and easy to contact thank!

craig and Donna are wonderful hosts, made us feel at home, could not be more helpful. Beautiful location and accommodation close to everything but felt wonderfully remote. George their Labrador was fabulous and super friendly and obedient. we are world travelers and this was the best bnb we have ever stayed in. Awesome 2 weeks. Definitely booking again.

This phenomenal cottage was one of if not THE best cottage stay I’ve ever had in my many years on Airbnb. Staying here felt like such a wonderful dream with all of the small details and private outdoor space to lounge around in. If you’re looking for the perfect getaway stay look no further, this is the one! Pete was also just the best host ever and made us feel right at home. Again just cannot recommend this place enough, 11/10 stay!

Awesome stay just outside of central Melbourne. The ‘East Wing’ was just as described and suited all of our needs. Lovely and clean and all of the amenities you would need for a stay, we felt right at home. Catherine was a fantastic host who helped us with all of our questions and let us say hello to her very friendly greyhound. 10 minute walk to Spotswood station and 15/20 minute train ride gets you into central. Catherine kindly left out some Myki cards to help out with the transport. Thanks so much! Will recommend to anyone wanting to explore Melbourne

Sulochi’s place was super beautiful and cosy, surrounded by a beautiful garden and lovely patch of views of the hills, beds were firm and comfortable and the sheets were amazing! Loved the little room in the back with tarot cards and beautiful flowers. Such a cosy wonderful stay, super grateful to have been able to experience! Thanks Sulochi :)

Charlotte’s Country Cottage is fantastic. It is situated in vibrant Brunswick, between Lygon Street and Sydney Road. Yet, it is a super private and in a quiet location, accessed down a locked private pathway, servicing only 2 properties. I felt super safe, given I was at Charlottes Country Cottage by myself, out all day and returning alone at night. The Cottage was immaculate, ultra clean, exactly as represented by the photos. When next back in Melbourne, I definitely know where I’m staying.

I had a wonderful stay at Julie’s place. The home matched the listing perfectly—spotless, inviting, and stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable visit. It’s in a great location: conveniently close to local amenities, yet tucked away in a quiet and peaceful area.
