Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Ascona

We spent two wonderful days in Olga's beautiful house. Everything was even more beautiful than described. They took great care of us. Everything was explained to us in great detail. And during our stay, Olga wrote to us every day and asked if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Their hospitality was really outstanding. I highly recommend this house to anyone. We were very pleased.

Would recommend this spot - you are right in the middle of the busy waterfront! We loved - location (next to where we rented a boat, literally next to the funicular (this is busy frequently so we were able to watch as the line became more manageable) located just steps away from the Airbnb, VERY close to train station, very close to a supermarket, kids loved the hot tub. The host is so responsive and friendly, loved him. We received a welcome bottle of wine which was nice, thank you!! Only minus - (this was NOT terrible) but there is construction next door and they begin early (8am) which woke me up but no one else in the home. The ants, there are some ants that live in the yard in front and end up in the home - this was not overwhelming just slightly annoying.

Andreas place is great. Extremely clean and tidy. Had everything we needed for our stay in lake como. The view is stunning. It’s also in a good location. Great host, very responsive and helpful. Would highly recommend. Only thing to note is dervio is a 15/20min walk for the nearest trains and busses which we didn’t mind as enjoy walking.

Enrico's Rustico is very tastefully decorated and in the household you will find everything you need. Very easily accessible by public transport, so we could do super nice hikes throughout the valley. Now in May, we hardly met any other hikers. There are two restaurants in the village, but no shop, so bring food if you want to spend a while in this archaic world without crowds or otherwise eat in the beautifully located restaurants. We are very pleased to have found such quiet places in Switzerland. Thanks to Enrico!

We had a fantastic stay! The place was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and inviting. The water pressure and hot water were excellent, and the bed was super comfy. The views were absolutely amazing and made our mornings and evenings extra special. The location was perfect, just a short, easy drive into central Menaggio. Riccardo was an incredibly friendly and responsive host, which made everything smooth from start to finish. Highly recommend!

since we were already here last year, of course we already knew everything. For us, the few days were very relaxing again and we would come back anytime. the apartment is spread over 3 floors but that did not bother us. also that no TV is available, we can only see as an advantage. Sometimes away from everyday life and all the luxury stuff. There are plenty of other possibilities in Ticino. That's luxury enough. Thank you, gladly again.

Incredible views. Highly recommend renting a scooter to make commute up and down the hill much easier. 10/10 would stay here again.

The apartment is located in Aldesago, very close to the Lugano city and with breathtaking view on the lake - the area is really well commuted (bus no. 12 or funicular). Inside you have everything you need - nicely equipped kitchen, superclean bathroom and very comfortable beds! The view from terrace is truly stunning! It was also so nice to be able using swimming pool belonging to the facility! Although we’ve been already in Lugano few times before, I think, this staying was the best one ;) P.S. the owners are angels 😇

We had a serene, peaceful & wonderful time staying at Silvia’s place. We felt totally at home and we couldn’t get over how amazing the views were! The home is lovely and cosy and we enjoyed having breakfasts outside in the crisp mornings & lighting the fire in the evenings as we cosied up. Everything was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen was stocked with pots, pans and utensils which made it easy for us to cook our own meals whilst we were there. The pool area is stunning and we enjoyed playing on the tennis table too. We loved seeing Silvia’s animals around the grounds including extremely friendly cats, dogs & even some tortoises! Silvia was extremely responsive and helpful and she was there to personally greet us as we drove toward the property. She gave us great local recommendations and was a very polite and sweet lady. The area itself is breathtakingly beautiful, we felt like we had the place to ourselves as we wandered the streets of gravedona. Would recommend!

I recommend this apartment loft! It has beautiful views of Lake Como from the small village of Perledo which is in the mountains above Varenna. The apartment was very clean and spacious for 2 people with lots of amenities. We used the spa and heated pool which was nice. Signing up for a time slot wasn’t a problem as there was lots of availability. I recommend renting a car to drive around unless you wait for the bus and ferry schedules. There isn’t anything within walking distance so have a means of transportation to get to Varenna (10 minutes down the mountain). We had the best time and Andrea was very helpful and informative. If we had any questions we got a quick response. 10/10 recommend!!

We absolutely loved our stay at Andrea’s place! It exceeded our expectations. Andrea was very responsive, helping us to navigate the area and European appliances :-)! We would love to stay again as our family had an amazing time!

Alessandra was absolutely amazing, not only while we were there, but leading up to our stay. It felt like we made a friend in Italy. She was friendly, communicative, and helpful! The airline lost our bags and she kept checking in to see if we had an update. She truly went above and beyond! The Airbnb was so clean and welcoming! Right across the street from Lake Como! Beautiful area! Would recommend to anyone!

Really attractive home with a great pool and pleasant garden, just out of town definitely need a car to explore the local area, which we did. Enjoyed the restaurants in Laveno. Monica is a great host and lovely and friendly. Highly recommended!

Very nice and quietly located apartment with parking and small 'terrace'. The apartment is equipped with everything you need and is very clean. The cool toys for the kids are worth mentioning :) Also decorated with love. Excursion tips are available. The hostess always responded very quickly and also introduced herself personally. Ascona lake promenade within walking distance. We will be happy to come back! Thank you!

A little paradise – highly recommended! We were very lucky to be able to spend a few days in this wonderful place – and it was just perfect (except the weather)! The apartment is excellently equipped and leaves nothing to be desired. Everything is furnished with a lot of love for detail and very personally designed, so that you feel at home from the first moment. The location is fantastic – quiet, idyllic and with a breathtaking garden on two levels. A real retreat with lots of charm! We would also like to emphasize the hostess: extremely personable, warm and helpful at all times. You can tell right away how much she cares about making her guests feel comfortable. We can highly recommend this place and will be happy to come back!

The apartment was perfect for us. We felt very comfortable at home there. It's very cute, and even prettier in person than in the pictures. It's well-equipped, there are even bowls for dogs. If you can only sleep in the dark, this apartment will not be for you because it is equipped with curtains, but we slept very well, the bed is very large, which is nice. This apartment and its wonderful hosts definitely deserve a FIVE out of FIVE STARS. Amanda and Nicolas were incredibly quick to  respond to our questions and very friendly even offering to lend us their bikes to explore the area. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked with all equipment, making it very easy to prepare meals. Everything was there and a lovely touch was also that the basics (salt, pepper, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, flour etc.)were provided. The beds were incredibly comfortable and one highlight was the bath in the bedroom. We really appreciated the attention to detail making the apartment feel very homely. Though not travelling with kids we were really impressed with the large variety of toys provided.The view from the balcony overlooking the shared garden and pool area was beautiful. For us it had the perfect location: the town centre is a 5 min drive. It is one of the very few places I would come back to - super value for money. Can heartily recommend it!
