Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Arouca

Sandra’s house was such a dream. I went with my friends for 5 days and we had such a good time we didn’t even leave the property the entire time. The pool and outdoor areas were so nice, the views were amazing and you truly are in the heart of nature. We spend our days at the pool and nights watching the stars. The house had everything and it looks even better in real life ❤️ Sandra was super sweet and responsive :) we are looking forward to come back, maybe next year 😍 obrigada :)

Canelas is a beautiful town for a mountain getaway. We loved the beautiful views from the property and the pool was great for our summer visit. Arouca is a charming town and we enjoyed visiting the convent and the local shops. We took day trips to the beach in Espinho, Pesa da Régua to taste wine and port, and Porto. We loved hiking near the Rio de Paiva too. The accommodations are historic in feel but also comfortable. We were able to cook dinners using the utensils in the kitchen. Elisabete and Rosaria were very kind and easy to communicate with.

Quiet Place with Amazing Views. It has a great atmosphere to relax a few days. Good pool. It has a PR very close to the house. And it has very cute kittens!!

Great stay at Cancela House! The house is as described: charming and atypical, bucolic setting, quiet, neatly decorated, well-equipped. A small peaceful haven in the small mountain, surrounded by eucalyptus forests. It felt good there. Special mention for the very nice dining/barbecue shelter, the charming pool with views and the pretty courtyard (with great sunbeds). We loved the setting and this house! Fatima was warm and responsive. Very easy interaction. If you like authenticity, typical (and atypical at the same time) accommodations, discover this corner of the mountain, discover Arouca Geo Park (passadiços de Paiva + Arouca 516)… Go ahead!

The house is nice, very spacious and clean. We spent 3 days as a family with our pet and we didn't miss anything. Inés' recommendations were very accurate and the place is quiet and easy to visit. The weather was quite pleasant during our stay and helped us sleep at night. Without a doubt, the description of the house and the site is 100% reliable and of course, I recommend it for sure.

Once again, an excellent experience at Casa da Ribeira. The space was pristently clean, with a very pleasant outdoor space and the hostess, as always, excellent.

This apartment is a real gem surrounded by nature. Surrounded by woods and streams, it offers an experience of unique peace and serenity. The place is comfortable and well cared for, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The elderly lady who manages the place is extraordinary. She is very friendly, helpful and always ready to give great advice. Your hospitality makes your stay even more special. I highly recommend this apartment to those looking for tranquility and nature. I can't wait to go back!

Five stars aren’t enough! We loved the little house. It’s charming and unique and offers all means of comfort you could wish for. We would come back there anytime! The host himself and his parents next door are the sweetest and most caring people. Even when we had questions and problems, they all went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We got support within minutes. I cannot express more how much we recommend this accomodation and how nice Bruno is. Thank you so much, this stay will be remembered 😃

Highly recommend this apartment. From start to finish everything went well. Hosts were amazing at communicating and offered helpful advice. Views were amazing from the balcony. Great location. Restaurants & tourist sites nearby. Very close to transport ie train station. Easy walkability. Great sunrise views & easy walk to sunset locations. As stated, highly recommended and would definitely stay here again! Thanks again!!

This location is not only unique for this area - easy access to everything, Port Cellars, Resto’s, bridge, river sightseeing but provides one of the most stunning and picturesque views of Porto - right from the front room with floor to ceiling windows. It’s a spectacular view, especially in the evening yet provides a peaceful and restful location to recoup after a day out. Great zone for day or evening walks right along the Douro with a dedicated river walkway. You won’t be disappointed!!

We have the family trip and it has been a pleasure. The penthouse is very spacious and comfortable, and close to everything interesting. The host is very friendly in their directions and recommendations. Everything to repeat.

The apartment was clean, spacious, and well-decorated. Especially I loved the beach-facing lounge & balcony where I enjoyed the sunset and wave crashing sounds every day. Lovely surroundings such as walking trails, several restaurants and cafes, nearby supermarket(5mins by walk), and easy access to the city centre (20min by uber or bolt taxi). Our host Marcos was very kind and responsive. We had a truly amazing time in this place. I do hope we could come back to Porto and this place near future.

We enjoyed staying in Wei's place in Villa Nova de Gaia. very convenient to most of Porto via Metro, lots of resources in the area. Safe, secure parking was a plus.

Excellent accommodation. The apartment is very nice and has a well equipped kitchen, 2 full amenities, heating, washer and dryer, balcony, 3 bedrooms. It is also very sunny and the atmosphere of the area is very familiar. Zélia is a loving person, very friendly and attentive. Below is a small supermarket that has everything, and the prices are normal. The accesses are easy and relatively close to the freeway, so if you want to go to Porto, Aveiro etc is easy. Highly recommend. I will definitely repeat.

Beautiful home in amazing location! Antonio’s place was incredible. More than enough space for family of 5 with really picturesque courtyards for enjoying the mild temperatures plus it was just across the street from the beach. The home was well-appointed, clean and had all we needed to make meals at home. It is a truly special place and Antonio was a wonderful, responsive host. We loved the restaurant he recommended. Can’t wait to come back again!

A group of friends and I stayed during Holy Week. He was always attentive and available for whatever we needed, the house was very nice and cozy; the property was spectacular, a shame the rain prevented us from using the pool, with hosts like this it's a pleasure to travel, 100% recommended. To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

Manu is a very welcoming host, with plenty of good tips on sightseeing (cellars on the Douro...) and must-see places. Recommended without hesitation. The proposed accommodation is as described and has plenty of space (very well equipped and very clean)

We had an amazing stay at Diogo’s beautiful place. It is even better in real life than it looks on the photos, with great views and supermarkets / restaurants close by. The house is open and bright and perfect for a group of 10-15. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning

This place is peaceful and surrounded by nature with lots of trees and singing birds, includind the chickens that create an "quinta" atmosphere. The accommodations were clean and cozy, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and caring. I highly recommend this countryside gem for a relaxing escape.

Jeff's place is something you rarely find on Airbnb, it is a really beautiful property located in a protected, surrounded by nature and a river, silent valley. It is fully furnished, equipped with everything you may need or expect, perfectly cleaned, and very spacious. The kitchens (both in the main house and in the pool house) are basically professionals ones, with bbqs, smokers, all existing (high quality) kitchen utensils. Absolutely everything. The warm pool is stunning too and we used it in November! Before leaving after our 4 days we were looking at each other eyes, still surprised by the beauty and quality of the place. We had a wonderful stay ! The view and grounds are stunning and we enjoyed every day out on the patio. The house is very well equipped for doing your own cooking. We would definitely recommend.
