The Stables, Ardnacross

Ardnacross farm was exactly what we needed in a stunning location not far from Tobermory. We were a group of 10 and there was plenty of space for everyone. Located in a beautiful spot, we loved seeing the nesting swallows in the house, and hearing the lapwings in the fields nearby. We saw eagles, a hen harrier, unfortunately no otters but we saw them elsewhere on Mull anyway. We took the recommendation to charter a boat with Coastal Connections and saw the last two remaining orcas of the west coast pod, John Coe and Aquarius, was an incredible day! Would highly recommend this beautiful home.

A wooden table is set outside with two glasses of wine and a bottle. Two rustic wooden chairs are positioned around the table. In the background, the serene waters of Lochdon reflect the distant hills under a clear sky.

Isle of Mull, Ormaig self-catering cottage Lochdon

What a place to stay!! From the initial booking and super communications with Steve, we’ve enjoyed the best few days in Scotland ever!! The bothy is in the most idyllic location on Mull, but at the same time only a short drive from the ferry terminal. We were met by Steve on our arrival (earlier than expected as the cottage had been free the day before..this gave us half a day extra really!) and showed around the property…wow, wow and WOW!!! The design, the immaculate presentation, the comfiest of beds..an absolute credit to Steve who has put so much thought and effort into such a wonderful place..and the view…well, there aren’t any words!!! We were blessed with beautiful weather whilst spending our few days exploring parts of the island (the bird life is exceptional!!) but if the weather had been different, we could’ve very happily stayed in the cottage just watching the tide roll in and disappear again!! Thankyou so much for letting us stay..we’ll see you again soon!! Jill and Neil

A sleek black wood stove is positioned on a dark countertop. Its glass front showcases logs inside, while a silver handle and a chimney pipe add functional elements. In the background, a woven basket and a small vase with greenery enhance the room's rustic decor.

What an incredible stay! Angela really has thought of everything - the place was immaculate and the views were incredible. It’s in a perfect location to explore the island and we saw some amazing wildlife. This was a luxury stay with the most kind and welcoming hosts. We cannot recommend this beautiful spot enough.

The Studio - Ballygown, Ulva Ferry, Isle of Mull

Stunning location with everything you need. The kitchen and bed spaces are compact but the living space looking out on the Isle of Ulva is superb! A visit to The Boathouse on Ulva is an absolute must and we also enjoyed a meal at Am Birlinn. (The fresh bread available from the house opposite is also delicious). EV charging was fine (in early June) Thank you Mary for an excellent stay in The Studo.

What an incredible place! We were blown away by Tricia’s attention to detail, it honestly had everything you could ever need. The space was immaculate and cozy, and the garden was stunning. We were only there for two nights but came away wishing we’d stayed for longer, I’m sure we’ll be back! One of the best holiday lets we’ve ever stayed at, Tricia is an excellent host!

We had an absolutely lovely stay here. Perfect cosy space to use as a base for exploring Mull. Beautiful view of the bay from the bed and wood burner to get warm after a day out were highlights. Would stay again!

Modern home with stunning views on Isle of Eigg

IreneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was a great holiday for us. The house was everything we expected. The views and the weather wonderful. It is remote as described. We didn't have a car as holiday makers can't take a car to the island but used bikes (one brought with us, one hired on Eigg) to get about and collect extra shopping. It was a haven for walkers. Peaceful, quiet, spectacular scenery, wonderful wild flowers and birds including eagles.

Annabel’s has a beautiful home in a quiet area it in the country. We could relax inside but also enjoyed walking down to the waterside and the local pub. If you want a Scottish experience that is Not in the city, would highly recommend this home. Everything inside is high quality and very clean with a breathtaking outside surrounding. The host is very friendly and flexible.
