Vacation rentals with breakfast in Arcozelo

This was a dream vacation - we had just moved to Portugal and spent 2 weeks getting setup. We wanted a quiet week as a family to rest before school started. This place was perfect: perched on a mountainside in the middle of vines, the space was quiet, peaceful and beautifully designed and appointed. Paulo, the husband, is an architect who refurbishes vintage designer furniture. Teyna, the wife, is an amazing chef. Her breakfasts (included) we delicious and the dinners they offer in their adjoining restaurant and well crafted and tasty. Their place is pet friendly - we brought our dog, and they have a dog, two cats and two birds. We did outings to Porto, nearby Roman ruins, historic villages and swam in the rivers running through them. It was delightful.

Antonio is a great gentleman and took great care of us during our short stay. This is a really historical house built with solid stones. History happened here. Unfortunately we cannot stay for the full length of our stay because the rough stone stairs and stone walls are dangerous to our crawling baby. This property is better fitted for older kids. Antonio was gracious to give us a refund on the nights and helped us to move to a new location with late checkout (very late). He is always ready to help at any time. We are grateful with all his help.

Dajas Douro Valley was perhaps more beautiful than the photos! It was the perfect place to relax between adventures in Lisbon and Porto. We especially loved spending time by the pool by day and cozying up with a bottle of wine by the fire pit by night. Alexandra and Tatiana were very welcoming. A few tips for future guests: The property is nestled in the hillside which means it is at least 20 minutes from towns/restaurants. We rented a car which was helpful for exploring nearby areas, but be prepared for many narrow, steep and winding roads! We found that Waze gave better directions (less rustic) than Google maps. We also wished we had stopped at a grocery store to stock up on some food for our villa before arriving. I also recommend booking reservations at local wineries as we didn’t have much luck just showing up (midweek at least). My husband and I would absolutely stay here again!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour ! Tout était parfait. L’hôte a été très flexible pour les horaires d’arrivée et de départ, et toujours disponible et serviable dès que nous avions besoin de quelque chose. La maison était extrêmement bien équipée, il ne manquait absolument rien. Nous recommandons vivement !

Agradecemos o momento especial proporcionado , adoramos a piscina para crianças, ideal para familias com crianças pequenas. O alojamento e a envolvente excepcional para um momento de repouso, a atenção do pequeno almoço sem gluten , e o restaurante com uma ementa variada para saborear.

Adorei ficar em Vila Coura, ficaria outra vez definitivamente. A Célia foi encantadora, muito prestável. Deu-nos facilidade para fazer o check-in à hora que nos conviesse, explicou-nos tudo direitinho sobre o espaço, os pequenos-almoços, etc, mostrou-se super disponível para atender a qualquer um dos nossos pedidos a qualquer hora. O quarto era muito confortável, limpo e bonito. Tínhamos lenha para acender a lareira e tivemos um ambiente super agradável. A água é bem quente também e a cama super confortável. Recomendo vivamente!

Maria, nos recebeu muito bem. Tomou cuidados como o vinho do Porto, geladeira e armário repletos de comidas. Nos deu explicações e dicas da cidade. Adoramos sua recepção!

This was a perfect location to enjoy Porto. Right on the river with a view of the bridge. The apartment was wonderful, clean, well appointed and decorated. We would stay here again!

Muy buena ubicacion, pudiendo llegar a todos sitios a pie. Se encuentra ubicado en una buena zona donde poder salir, tomarse una cerveza o cenar bien una vez termines el día de paseo. En definitiva, es un sitio perfecto para hospedarse.

Fernanda is a wonderful host and is quick to respond to messages. The cleaner, Carla, is friendly and eager to please. She speaks reasonable English and was able to provide clear instructions during checked in. The apartment is super spacious and well positioned. It has a lovely balcony that gets hours of sunlight in good weather. We loved the comfortable lounge and elegant dining area. The kitchen is well equipped with a separate laundry area. We experienced a cold spell and the fireplace in the living room was fantastic! The neighbourhood is very local and lovely to stroll around. Downstairs is a green grocer, wonderful chacuterie shop, hairdresser and coffee shop/bakery (padaria). From the apartment, one has a glimpse of the sea in the distance. It takes about 15 minutes to walk down to the water. We really enjoyed our stay and felt completely at home in Fernanda's apartment. Having a car at this rental, makes getting around easier.

We really enjoyed our stay with Jean and Luz. The apartment is beautiful, lovely decor and furnishings and is meticulously looked after and cleaned. The area is great. Many shops and restaurants very close, plus an easy walk to the historic district of Porto. Jean offered to assist us with restaurants and activities. I took him up on this & actually contacted him a couple nights before we checked in at his place. He made recommendations and set us up for dinner and show reservations - way beyond what I expected. When we arrived, he showed us around the neighborhood and walked through the area with us on a map. Both Jean and his wife Luz are great hosts! We'll be back!

He viajado por muchas ciudades, me he hospedado en muchos hoteles y posadas; he visto y he sentido que es una atención genuina pero jamás comprada a una atención tan cálida como la Candida y Diago. He quedado maravillado con la sencilla y hermosa decoración, con lo limpio y pulcro de todos los espacios. Creo que Diago ( el multifacético gerente) es un mago, tiene un don que Dios le ha dado y ese don lo ha sabido usar pera servir a los invitados. Sí alguna vez vuelvo a Espinho no dudare en quedarme en este encantador lugar. Ame cada segundo que estuve aquí. Gracias por toda la atención…

Really enjoyed the hostel and would stay again. It was focused around the surfing in the morning which was great, Marco is a great teacher and you get plenty of time on the waves. Raquel is a lovely host and the food is excellent, there's a bit of a lack of local things to do and places to eat within walking distance but the nearest city isn't too far if you want to explore in the afternoons/evenings. Would totally reccomend the hostel to anyone wanting to learn how to surf, many thanks : )

Our stay at Quinta Dos Carqueijais was a perfect 10/10! We chose the Villa das Oliveiras, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the surroundings. It truly feels like you're immersed in the forest with beautiful views of the lake. The entire property is seamlessly integrated with nature, creating an idyllic setting for complete disconnection. The accommodation itself is stunning, perfectly equipped, and incredibly comfortable—far better than what you might expect from the photos. The breakfast is plentiful, with great attention to detail. Additionally, we had the chance to enjoy the spa facilities, which include a jacuzzi, sauna, massages, and a heated indoor pool, all at a very competitive rate. Quinta Dos Carqueijais is the perfect place to unwind for a weekend getaway or to celebrate a special occasion near the Peneda-Gerês National Park

Loved everything about this place. Inês was a wonderful host, she was friendly and welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. The property is a beautiful oasis, perfect for a countryside retreat. I couldn’t recommend this place more (If I could give 6 stars, I would!)

Espaço muito bonito e de arquitectura bem integrada na paisagem. Cuidado nos pormenores e cama muito confortável. Todos os equipamentos de segurança e desinfeção preparados e de fácil acesso. As funcionárias, Bruna e Isabel, muito simpáticas e disponíveis, sempre atentas. A comunicação com a Vânia também correu muito bem e agradeço a atenção que teve. Recomendo vivamente!

There are very few places that can live up to the moniker of a truly special location. It take a rare blend of a thoughtful beautiful space, impeccable service, and genuine/ super friendly hosts. My only regret about writing this review is that I am sure once people discover this gem I will find it very difficult to find an available opening again as it is sure to be in high demand. Enrico and his entire family are the perfect hosts, the included simple breakfast of fresh bread, yogurt, fruit and assorted cheese is such a nice treat to wake up to every morning and partake in their amazing Dining Room. I can't recommend highly enough trying their tasting dinner in the evening, as Enrico apparently is a 1 start rated Michelin Chef and the food is amazing. Even if you don't book a room to stay in you should go to the restaurant one evening if you are in Porto. My room was spotless, very comfortable and beautifully laid out. Super Comfortable Bed as well. This place is special.
