House vacation rentals in Appomattox County

We had a great time and loved the house. It was a perfect trip! Only a few minor issues getting in the front door and turning on one of the air conditioners. Hallin & Co responded immediately, came to the property to address and handle the issues. The house was extremely accommodating to our group and we will definitely plan to rent again.

Lydia’s property is fantastic and is in the perfect location for anyone visiting a student at Liberty University. Lydia is extremely responsive, her home is spotless and she includes all amenities needed for your stay! I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again in the not so distant future!

Loved our work retreat at Bobbi’s place. Nearby goats were fun & friendly neighbors noting our comings & goings. The kitchen was well appointed with stainless steel pots and an induction stove. Ahhh, the hot tub and ping pong table: perfect amenities we turned to for winding down after intensive work. Stunning begonia (a REAL one) @ the front door welcomed us in beautifully! And Bobbi is a caring host! He responds lickety split to messages and went beyond the call to contact animal control when a guest’s boot mysteriously disappeared from the porch. Thanks, Bobbi!

This was a wonderful place to stay at during our trip to Lynchburg. It was extremely clean and looked just like the photos. The area was peaceful, well kept, and safe. When we arrived there was a cute welcome basket filled with snacks. Also, we appreciated the many streaming services ready to be used on the tv! There is a drive-thru coffee shop (Joe Beans) that is a very close drive—great drinks and baked goods! I would highly recommend this place and felt the host was eager to provide a great stay.

What a unique place! It served its purpose well. We felt safe & comfortable during our stay and have no complaints at all.

Karen was very pleasant & quick to respond. We rented her home for our son’s wedding. She gave great recommendations & took care of a problem right upon arrival. The home was beautiful, we had plenty of space for our family & loved being able to bring our dog. The master bath floor & tub wasn’t the cleanest, I don’t blame that at all on the host, I’m sure it can be hard with cleaners managing a property. And the steps going upstairs weren’t swept. I didn’t want to bother her again, as she had already taken care of a problem for us earlier, so we just went with it, it wasn’t unbearable. Beds were comfy. Towels were nice, washcloths may need a little updating, but overall, it was what we needed & served its purpose.

Logan was a very responsive host. We enjoyed the home very much. The kids loved the arcade games, the back patio, and the big bubble bath on the main level which was very accessible for kids next to the bunk beds room they loved. We had a great family thanksgiving in the beautiful dinning room. Would highly recommended this home for anyone visiting Liberty University or Lynchburg Virginia for family trip. Great location and we loved watching the red cardinals through the big windows in the kitchen/ breakfast nook.

We loved our stay, and Jonathan was the perfect host! He was communicative, offered excellent recommendations, and had all the little extras set for us. A little tray of wine, coffee with the fixings, a free appetizer at a local restaurant, and a snack basket were all available for us. The home was clean, and we loved catching a baseball game right across the street. Thank you so much! It was perfect!

Great place for us as it was only 6 minutes from Liberty, where my kids competed at a swim meet. The place was as described, super clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the views as well.

Great location! We enjoyed staying at Daniel and Leslie‘s place. House was very comfortable for our sisters’ weekend (three of us, and we each got our own bedroom with comfortable bed). The main activity for our weekend was the high bridge trail which we could have walked to one section from the house itself, but chose to drive to a different section and that was the only time we needed a car during our stay. Everything else was right there in a safe, comfortable neighborhood for walking: great restaurants, charming downtown and a few cute shops. Thanks!

Secluded yet convenient to shopping, restaurants and Liberty University. Andy was quick and responsive when contacted. House and pictures were exactly as shown. Would stay here again.

Another great stay!

Our family gathered there in the Forest/Lynchburg area for Thanksgiving this year. We found this property to be entirely suitable for our use in this way. The house is laid out well and we were able to enjoy our time together. Scott was very accommodating on anything that we needed and responsive when we had any questions. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider staying in this property again if we needed to gather in that area. Highly recommend this property to others whose group sizes are compatible with the house. Thanks so much for making us feel at home and for accommodating us while we were here.

We visited our son in Longwood University which brought us to Kira’s cabin. The cabin is a short drive from downtown Farmville, less than 15 minutes, rests on a large open grassy field with a nice sized fireplace and a few hiking paths. The interior of the cabin is very welcoming, the feel is that of a late 19th century hunter’s cabin with modern features like wi-fi, central air, entertainment center, and a modern kitchen. The cabin was very comfortable and spacious. We felt like we visited our family or close friend’s home. Thank you!

We stayed here while visiting Liberty University. Home was close to campus, clean, quiet and well stocked. Grocery is very close. We would definitely stay here for another Lynchburg visit.

This place is a very charming farmhouse, with a big, nice open kitchen and dining room space, a living room with plenty of seating for 8 guests, three decks/porches (one screened), and large bedrooms with comfy beds. Outside there is plenty of space to go for walks, farm animals and a nice pond which add to the lovely farm setting. It’s also a good location under ten minutes from Scottsville! We’ll definitely recommend it to friends and be back ourselves!

Jimmy and his family treat you like family. There are friendly, and so happy to share their farm with their guests. The Grain Bin home is absolutely AMAZING! From the decor, to the lighting, to the well laid out space, to the comfortable beds, to the tiny details, and the beautiful farm…this place is an absolute gem. Do not miss your chance to stay in this eccentric home. There is no doubt our family will visit again!
