This cozy, rustic one bedroom cottage (325 sq. ft.) is just a 15 min. walk from downtown Jacksonville (3/4 mile) and 30 min. from Ashland. It has private parking, on the property. The owner is happy w/ pets in the cottage, but needs to know in advance that a pet is coming (maximum 35lbs) too. There isn't a full kitchen but it has a kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, hot plate and coffee maker, so cooking basics won't be a problem. Relax in the outside patio in the summer.

A fantastic cabin! Very private, Super-Friendly Hosts, Very comfortable bed, a fantastic place for all seasons. Great Shower with better pressure than many other places and you could make it very hot if so desired, I found that putting the dial a little left of 12 o’clock made for a nice warm shower. Giant kitchen-sink again with great pressure and heat. Plenty of room to hang up clothing and a little fire-place which is probably great in winter, I felt warm enough in the cabins natural state. If Melinda offer up eggs, whip a couple up and put them in the microwave for 90 seconds and a delicious scramble presents itself! There were both a cappuccino machine and kettle available — I opted for the various green tea’s available! All in all, very friendly people; Kingman is quite the historian but also very knowledgeable of the trees and vegetation — as a farmer it shouldn’t be surprising. They made some great recommendations for day-trips although I already had an action-packed agenda!

We had a great stay for the 2 months we were here. The view was absolutely magical. It was peaceful, and calm. We had no issues and TT was great. She was responsive and helpful. Everything was listed just like the description. Everything was clean and stocked for what we needed. This place is the perfect spot to come and relax and enjoy the view and the beautiful nature surrounding this place. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope we can come back soon.

I've visited many off-grid spaces and this one is in my top 10. It's newly built and created with amazing attention to detail. It's super clean and superbly maintained with amazing amenities for such a tiny-large space. I can't say enough good things. I visited on my own and will return, but certainly two could/should share the accommodations and outdoor luxuries for even more bliss. If your looking for an awesome view, no signs of humans, and a night sky that feels completely yours alone...this is your space too. I just have one request, I'd love to know the story of how you came up with the idea for the Tiny Groove House and finding the perfect spot.. Thank you for opening your vision up for myself and others to enjoy. ps. Would also recommend a Guest Book for people to share their thoughts on their time spent there. 💞🌄💞 I totally enjoyed my 4 frog pool buddies. 😉

Modern Rustic River Home - Gym | Game Room | Sauna

We stayed here with 4 adults, 2 teens and 1 child. Walking into the bedroom downstairs left like you had escaped into a movie with the luxury yet comfortable feel of a spa with the robes hanging in the room. Even at the front door there were house slippers! The fireplace kept us warm and really nice to sit by for a movie, during lunch while we listed to the rain. The cabin was well stocked with wood, and the cute door from the inside to acess the wood from the outiside, vary convenient. The ping pong and darts kept the teens and child entertained for little bits at a time. They also enjoyed the panning station and it was cool they privided containers to keep what we found. We came specfically to do some fishing in nearby areas and we did catch a steel head! We saw some deer on our stay and just really enjoyed our stay overall. We would love to comeback in the spring to really enjoy the rest of what the property has to offer.
