Lake house vacation rentals in Apple Valley

Linda and Norman were great and there home was exactly what we were looking for great location and a great cabin feel.. and great views we will definitely contact them again to stay!!!

We enjoyed staying at Rhonda’s house. The view was incredible. You can seat outside and watch lake for a long time. The house was comfortable. Host was super responsive and nice. She left snack basket for us. I recommend this place!!

Cons: Beds are very creaky. A lot of the windows don't open. Dark stains on carpet in upstairs bedroom. A lot of spiderwebs outside the cabin. Hooks on upstairs shower are broken. Dryer doesn't work well. Back door didn't lock (got fixed by David while we were there). The couch in the living room is dirty and needs to be washed. One screw missing in foosball, The vacuum is broken. String to upstairs shade is broken. You have to log into your own streaming services. Pros: Destination Big Bear are very responsive and want to keep the guest happy and will do anything to accommodate their guests. They even gave a thoughtful basket. Lovely Jacuzzi. PS5 for children. Billiards table under foosball table. Gas fireplace. Beautiful stars. Amazing sunrise and sunset. A lake view that is to die for. You can hear coyotes, fish, birds and insects at night. Close to the village. Many clean towels and blankets. Supplies for cooking and big fridge. Many neighbors around the rental are renters too.

We had such an enjoyable trip! There was plenty of space for us (2 adults & 4 older teens). The house was perfect - very clean and had everything we needed including kayaks, fishing gear, volleyball, fire pit, grill, chairs & umbrellas for the sand area. The kitchen was well equipped to cook but we were also close enough to the Village if we wanted to go out. The location is beautiful - right on the lake, quiet, private and peaceful. We would love to stay again!

A Perfect Family Getaway! This house is the ideal escape for families! There's so much to do for kids of all ages, and it truly offers something for everyone. This was our second year staying here, and we loved every minute of it. Watching my whole family enjoy the lake and have fun together was absolutely priceless. The house is packed with amenities—just bring your bathing suit and some food, and you're all set for an unforgettable vacation!

Great location, house is very big with lots of room. Game room was nice and pool table upstairs was nice! Had the fireplace going and having a fire on the patio was alot of fun, nice and relaxing. Jacuzzi needs some tlc . Would book again!

A true sanctuary for the soul. This house in Idyllwild is everything I didn’t know I needed—and more. Just one hour away from the city, it felt like stepping into a different world. The moment we arrived, I could feel my nervous system start to unwind. Between the river flowing right through the backyard, the private sauna and Jacuzzi, and the peaceful stillness of the forest, it was the perfect space to reconnect with my body, mind, and spirit. Every detail in the home was curated with intention and care. If you’re someone who values health, vitality, and deep rest—this place has everything: nature, healing, beauty, and tranquility. It’s also an amazing space for families—my little one thrived playing in nature and we were all able to slow down and reset together. The host was warm, responsive, and made us feel completely at home. I left feeling nourished and restored, and I can’t wait to return. This place is a gem and has become my go-to getaway for peace, presence, and health.

We had a great time at Casa Del Lago! The location by the lake was beautiful and peaceful. The home was clean, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing stay. The only downside was the A/C — during the day it wouldn’t cool below 78°, which was a bit warm. Overall, a great stay and we’d definitely consider coming back.

An Unforgettable Stay! 🌟 I recently had the pleasure of staying at China’s Airbnb, and I can confidently say it was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had. Was perfect for my birthday! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome and a beautifully clean space. The apartment was exactly as described in the listing, if not better. The decor was stylish and cozy, making it the perfect retreat away from the city. My group especially loved the huge balcony with hot tub and fully equipped kitchen that made cooking a joy. The fire place was also a nice touch for a cozy feel at night. Location-wise, this place could not have been better. It was situated in a quiet neighborhood a short distance to restaurants and local grocery stores. Plus, lake arrowhead village which was only a few miles away. I highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay. I can’t wait to return!

Host was responsive and easy to communicate with. Location was perfect, few minutes away from Lake Arrowhead village. Having access to the ALA trails was a perk. We enjoyed our stay.

The trip was a huge success! Everyone enjoyed themselves. My kids felt right at home, this was the first time my youngest slept through the night on vacation so you know we were excited. The home is within a 10 minute drive of a lot- which I enjoyed being able the see the lake and the surrounding areas. We had all the things we needed to cook/eat at home. It's quiet! We had a great time. Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful home! Big Bear is such a fun place to visit with so much to do all year round. We spent a week during spring break and could not have asked for more at this cabin. It was big and cozy and very well equipped with everything we needed and more than we expected! We spent most nights in the game room that had something for everyone, and the fireplace kept the upstairs toasty while adding ambience. The yard was massive and fully enclosed so we felt safe letting our dog outside. The kitchen had everything, lots of space, and being open to the living room area allowed us all to spend time together while cooking. The host was super responsive and proactive and the neighborhood was quiet and close to The Village. We would totally stay here again!!!

The cabin itself and the host were 5 stars. She was very responsive, and the place was great. Unfortunately, I can't say the same about the town of Lake Arrowhead. Very un-inviting, the lake is essentially closed off to tourists. The village area is nice but can be found in any other city. If you have to stay in Lake Arrowhead, this is a great cabin and great host, would recommend it. Otherwise, I'd recommend staying elsewhere (big bear).

Second time coming to big bear and so far haven’t gotten any bad experiences. For this specific occasion, my family and I had a great time with this rental. The cabin felt safe and comfortable, had such a great time and will be coming back again.

This cabin was exactly how it was described, in a great neighborhood. We also rented the attached apartment and with 4 bathrooms between both areas, it was perfect for multiple families coming together for a cozy weekend of shopping, scenic walks, and game night. We cooked multiple meals here and I loved the appliances. Plenty of eating space for the 12 of us as well. With multiple levels, there was an area for everyone to excape the noice and put their feet up. I would love to come back here. Thanks Scott and Lupy for your quick responses!

Amazing home! Plenty for all to do. The furnishings give it homey feeling. All of the special touches were wonderful such as different flavors of coffee and teas, bath bombs, candy dishes, etc. Quiet neighborhood, close enough to go to restaurants, but far enough off the highway that it was very peaceful.

Airbnb was everything that was expected, beautiful home and beautiful surroundings. Roberta made the experience very easy and peaceful with everything!

Stayed here for my wedding at lake Gregory, beyond impressed. The entire place was spotless and just as described. There was something for everyone and the layout fit my family comfortably. The host was communicative and fair, making the entire stay painless and an absolute pleasure to stay at. Plus the location is amazing. Could not recommend enough.

This has been the best Airbnb i’ve stayed in so far. Lisa is super sweet and whenever i had a question she would respond quickly which was super helpful. I also loved the area it honestly gave Twilight vibes and we absolutely loved! my friends, family enjoyed it and we’ll definitely be back!

My family and I enjoyed our stay very much, such a luxurious home with lots of little details to enjoy. We all had a turn in the sauna, in the master bathroom shower. The hot tub was perfect, and the lake was just steps away so we could fish and swim as we liked! The kitchen was extremely well stocked, I was able to buy groceries and cook multiple meals and had everything I needed. We had so much fun in the game room. We had an issue with WiFi but the host was prompt in addressing it!

This place is just as awesome as it looks in the pictures! We did a friends trip with four of us and the place worked out great! the outside entertainment area is FANTASTIC! There is also a precious and comfortable sunroof that I just loved! the inside is beautiful, comfortable and was great for games, movies and the like! Will absolutely stay here again!
