Welcome to Altes Land, Germany's largest fruit growing area with its numerous orchards. Here you can relax wonderfully, especially cycling through apple orchards or to the nearby Elbe. For shopping, we recommend the Hanseatic city of Hamburg (about 45 minutes by car) or the cozy cities of Stade (20 minutes) and Buxtehude (12 minutes). At the end of a short cul-de-sac, lies the house of the hosts of the small apartment, which has been built at right angles to the house. So I found the name "Swallow's Nest" just right for the small, cozy and quiet apartment. It can be reached via its own separate entrance at ground level from the carport parking lot. We felt completely comfortable with Ute and Ulli. The mattress was excellent – we slept like we hadn't in a long time, often not even as well as at home. The location is wonderfully quiet, ideal for relaxing.
