House with a rustic charm that have everything we need. Host was very responsive and helpful.

Our group of five had an unforgettable stay at this gem of a place! The location was perfect for our ski trip, with Aomori Springs, Hakkoda Ropeway, Iwakisan, and Moya Hills all within 45 to 55 min drive. The house itself was a beautiful blend of eclectic Japanese culture and modern comforts. We were in awe of the handcrafted wooden structure with dove-tail joints, the high ceilings in the common area, and the perfect combination of traditional tatami rooms and comfy beds. The bathrooms were the cleanest and most modern I’ve seen in Japan! The host was the sweetest, taking us to a 150-year-old building where we were entertained by a musician, learned to play a traditional Japanese banjo and even dressed in kimonos to pretend to be samurai. She refused payment for her kindness, and it was truly an experience we’ll never forget. As a frequent Airbnb host myself, I can honestly say this is the best place I’ve stayed in yet. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay for your vacation, feeling relaxed

Great place and the hallway provided extra space for all our stuff. Very cozy and the perk of the sauna was very nice. Loved that it had a dryer

The house is right opposite Hoshino Hotel, there is free parking lot, walk to Okinase Creek very close.The host is very kind, personally introducing the various facilities of the room, even on snowy days, there is an air conditioner and heater in the room, very warm!

We loved Yuka's beautiful home! It was a highlight of our trip. And Yuka bent over backwards for us to use her kotatsu even though it was put away for the summer and we are all so grateful for that!! It was the perfect way to end our day and start our morning when it was still a little cold out. Her home is the perfect blend of a traditional Japanese home with a mixture of modern features for our comfort. None of us had any complaints! We walked from the shin-Aomori station and it was a peaceful, 15-20 minute walk alongside the pond and quiet neighborhood. And the shin-Aomori station is a convenient station - we even decided to do an afternoon trip up to Hokkaido and it was dreamy. We would highly recommend this place!

the house is lovely, clean and peaceful. located within walk distance from the JR station. two spacious bedrooms with futons on the tatami inside is enough for the family. Only 2 concerns from us. First only toilet on the 1st floor which might be inconvenient at night as you need to step from stair to get there. Second the house has a limitation of electricity usage, when using 2 heaters together during winter night (-5c), it will cause a power outage even it turn back to normal automatically within 5-10 seconds but you cant use 2 heaters together during winter. this is something to be aware of if you're staying during the winter of Aomori. Other else about this house was excellent.

We absolutely loved our time at Kumiko’s guest house. It was quaint, peaceful and very comfortable. Loved sleeping in the warm beds and sitting on the tatami while we chatted. The house was spotless and included all the amenities we were looking for. The main living room was particularly delightful, presenting a very calm and restful space. The house and guest house are surrounded by a lovely garden with spring flowers and herbs and roses just leafing out in April. Kumiko was a wonderful host. She was very friendly and responsive and had lots of good suggestions about places to see and to go for dining. Also her English was very good, which was helpful since our Japanese was not. Overall our 3 day stay was a wonderful experience and we would highly recommend Kumiko’s guest house to anyone staying in the Hachinohe area. Our only regret was that we could not see her garden in the height of its blooming season. The roses in June must be spectacular.
