In the middle of a great, up-and-coming Athens neighborhood. Fantastic location, overlooking Merkouri square. The neighborhood is really cool, in my opinion the coolest in Athens - organic, safe, hipsterish and live, but not extremely gentrified. So many options around for a laid back day. Amazing craft beer place just under the apartment, two excellent souvlaki places, tons of great tavernas and stores. Philopappou hill is just a 10 minute walk away, with peace and quiet and a superb view of the Acropolis and a short walk down the hill to the tourist area. The apartment has everything you need and more, but is superbly clean and uncluttered. It is in a lively area but the windows with double glazing provide good sound proofing, so no problem sleeping. Quality washing machine with a drier and and iron/board are very helpful if you are staying longer. You will have to do the dishes by hand, but we ended up eating outside because there is so many cool options.

The flat is perfect. In a very nice neighborhood, away from all the touristy areas but at walking distance to everything and five minutes from the subway. Many very good restaurants close by. Totally recommended. Nice terrace. Anastasia is a great host, she left some treats in the fridge, a couple of beers, water, jam… We had a great time at the flat.

This apartment is a dream come true for our first time in Athens! It’s all about comfort and attention to detail. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, including a washing machine that blends right into the cabinets. The bed is super comfy, with two sets of pillows (regular and memory foam), soft sheets and blankets, and plenty of towels. And the bathroom is modern and efficient, with plenty of hot water. There is also a big balcony to enjoy. The building and condo are super secure, and the location in Petralona (cool area) is great. It’s just a 3-minute walk to the metro (2 stops to Monastiraki) so you can grab coffee, get baked goods or do some grocery shopping minutes from your apartment. George included a comprehensive digital guest guide to help us out with everything we need to know. George is an awesome host. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
