Superior bedroom in 'enchanting' Perthshire B&B

Chris and Meg were the best hosts! We had such a wonderful night stay in their home. We wished so much we could stay longer, and if we're ever back in the area again we are definitely going to try to tay with them! They were extremely welcoming and lovely to chat to. The bathroom and bedroom were both squeaky clean, beautifully decorated, and cozy, and the home was in a very quiet area. You could tell a lot of thought and care went into everything. The bed was so comfortable! I think we had our best night's sleep there of our whole trip, and definitely the best breakfast too. Chris and Meg served us a delicious breakfast the next morning before we left! We would recommend them to anyone!

We had a fantastic stay at Aikenhead House! The property has a lot of character and the surroundings were very peaceful which was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were clean with good quality amenities and linen. The highlights are definitely the wood fired hot tub as well as the lovely sourdough bread that Adam baked for us in the morning! I would highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a break out in the countryside.

We very much enjoyed staying at Katies place! The room and bath is spacious, clean and lovely decorated. Katie is an easygoing host who served a wonderful breakfast. She always made sure we have everything we could possibly want. She even kept heating on for us, not being used to chill temps .. thanks Katie!

Budget Double Ensuite with Shower at Lodge at Loch

Great place to stay off the beaten track. Worth the short travel from Dundee to find this peaceful stop. On the edge of a loch, picturesque with stars at night. Gareth was very welcoming, and had a couple of lovely dogs. He showed us our rooms, told us how to use the shower (never seen one quite like this), then the breakfast room / social area where there were games, tv and a view of the loch bank. Beware that wifi isn't that reliable, so if it's a place you want to work from it might not necessarily work for you. Phone signal was a big no no for me too, but I wasn't there to be contacted, I was there with my wife and friends for an over night stay.... It was perfect.

Thornton Castle - The Tower and The Blue Room

Do not hesitate to stay in this castle home! Griselda is an amazing host from the first warm welcome to the delicious breakfast when leaving in the morning. She gave us a tour of her historic home (including the roof!) and encouraged us to tour the expansive grounds and gardens. Our private sitting room was in fact a beautiful billiard room with a huge table. What we thought would be a fun place to stay turned into a highlight of our trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

This was an amazing find for our little weekend getaway. The room was spotless, no dust under bed or on the bed posts. It was exactly as described. Superb breakfast prepared by the host. Beautiful building and well maintained. The private use of spa, jacuzzi and sauna was well worth the cost, even though separately to the cost of the B&B (energy price is so high, I really don't think the hosts are making any money off that). The hosts took care and pride in their property and every guest should respect that. And I must point out that the bed (Poppy room) was so big and the mattress was so good (firm as to my liking), it was the best first-night-sleep-in-a-new-place ever! We are already planning our trip back!

Great stay at Amy's, no issues and everything was 5*, Amy was friendly and approachable, she even provided a dog bed for Jack the dog, who was made very welcome to, would recommend for anyone to stay.

Amy went above and beyond what I expected to ensure I felt welcomed during my stay. She asked my dietary requirements and kindly bought in vegetarian breakfast items for me which I really appreciated. The room (newly renovated room) was spotless and tidy and has everything I needed including tea and coffee, ensuit, clean lining and comfortable bedding. I slept very comfortably and would return again!

Chris and Meg are very kind and caring. The room was beautiful and perfectly arranged (very good bedding). Sparkling clean bathroom. And the small touches are very nice. Excellent Scottish breakfast, a treat! Thanks Chris and Meg!

Unique Scottish place to stay at Victoria Hotel

It's everything you'd expect from and hotel, but in a price that isn't really hotel-like. You got nice beds, a clean bathroom with a decent shower and a bar down the stairway. So perfect for having a nice drink a quick pool and then you can basically fall directly in the bed. It was really charming. Just know you have to go through the pub entry if no one's answering the doorbell. :) It was a great stay.

Ashley House is the perfect spot to explore Broughty Ferry. It's a great location for the beach and town. Darren is a wonderful host and his hospitality was endless. The communications beforehand were excellent and he offered us great recommendandations for eating out. He also cooks a mean breakfast himself. We would gladly return.
