Our stay at Haus Sonnenschein was what the name promises. If you are looking for a place to relax, this is the place to be, as the house is next to a nature reserve. Despite very spontaneous booking, everything worked wonderfully. We received all the important information before arrival so we found everything right away and none of our questions remained unanswered. The view of the sunrise is one of the highlights, next to the infrared cabin and the Schaafswiese next door. We only made nice acquaintances, especially the lady from the reception completed the stay wonderfully. My dog was always welcome and also made nice dog teams. All in all, we would highly recommend this place. A big thank you to Felix! We will be happy to come back. :)

The cottage is cozy, and a garden with lots of privacy. Very clean and almost completely furnished. The park is quiet and is in a nice area. The park has few facilities so for children the park may be a bit boring, we were two adults. Thank you for the nice days we had in your cottage.

We loved our long weekend. Because you are in the middle of the island, everything was easily accessible by bike. Bicycles are therefore a big plus! In the cottage there is everything you need, also for cooking yourself. The garden is enclosed, so you have a wonderful private place! In short; enjoy!

A very nice and cozy chalet. Located in a nice location on the island and the supermarket is also at the park. Had a great time here. Renee was a very good host!

We enjoyed the space and the surrounding area. Due to a sudden health issue on the way out, we were more in the hospital than in the chalet. We couldn't reach the place until the night, but organizationally this was super solved. Key was stored for us in a box with code. Communication between the landlord and us went smoothly. The chalet is very comfortably furnished. We were 4 adults and one dog. Space was enough. The outdoor area invites you to stay. The weather was good with us and we would definitely book again. Nice chalet in a fantastic area. If you love peace, nature, water, sweeping views and dark nights, this area is perfect for you. From the chalet you can walk to the waterfront within a few minutes. We were there in the middle of winter with extremely much rain and wind, but with the heating on, it was nice and warm inside. The decor and equipment is simple but satisfactory. Because it gets dark so early in winter, we did miss some mood lighting in the chalet. But you won't be bothered by that in other seasons;) If you are not looking for luxury and especially want to enjoy the beautiful nature and the unique tranquility of this area, this chalet is perfect for you. And it's totally a plus that your dog is allowed to come along!

We booked this specific place for its proximity to the ferry to Schiermonnikoog in order to take a day of hiking/sightseeing. Everything was at its best and our plans went according to our expectations. In addition, Korien has always been very responsive and clear in his instructions. However, we encountered some problems with the life of "camping" and its amenities and the communication between our host and the reception of the campsite. Despite everything, the placement, tranquility and atmosphere won us over and allowed us to have a pleasant stay. Thanks again to Korien!

We stayed there with two toddlers for a week. The bike shop in Ballum is close and you can easily get around the island by bike and trailer. The beach in Ballum is close - but you still have to walk a whole stretch to the sea, next time we'll take a wagon with us. The neighbourhood is quite and friendly. We had very relaxing days

We had a lovely week with our 3rd children during the autumn holidays. In bad weather, a beautiful indoor playground awaits the children. In nice weather there are several playgrounds and a petting zoo :). In great weather, the lake and beach are waiting for you. ;) Aletta was always available for us and gave us good tips.

Stayed here with the family during New Year's Eve. Despite the bad weather, we had very nice days. It is not a punishment to play games in the cozy chalet and ring in the new year. Good to keep warm, very complete kitchen and a nice bathroom. also the beds are fine!

We had a wonderful stay here. The chalet is located at the beginning of the property and in the middle of the island. For us the perfect stay to see as much of the island as possible. Communication with the host was great. Everything went very easily. Highly recommended!
