Family-friendly vacation rentals in Ameland

We had a fantastic weekend at 't Holthus! An oasis of peace, surrounded by beautiful nature and with all the comfort you could wish for. The cottage was stylishly furnished, sparkling clean and equipped with every comfort. The hot tub was of course a highlight. The warm welcome and personal touches of the owners made our stay extra special. Perfect for recharging for a while.

We (two adults and two children 2 and 7) enjoyed it very much. The place is very spacious, has a super nice bathroom and the shared kitchen is well equipped. For the kids, especially the horses and the pony were an experience. We were also allowed to take a horseback ride with the pony. In the area we can recommend a trip to the seal center in Pieterburen or the island of Schiermonnikoog. Supermarkets are in the area in Dokkum just 8 minutes by car. A small suggestion for improvement: a few cabinets or shelves would be nice so you do not have to live out of a suitcase. With the many clothes with children, there is chaos in the entire place quickly.

We had a really nice stay of three nights in Hiaure at the “koetshuis”. The little house is very cozy and the surroundings are so peaceful. We found everything we needed to make meals and we enjoyed the hottub while looking at the stars at night. 10/10 would visit again!

Simply fantastic! In a very quiet location, right on the water. We were in the cute cottage with 2 people and 3 dogs. Everything was really clean and tidy, the view from the living room right on the water is just great! It was remodeled after the photos, there is now a large double-leaf door in the living room to the garden from which you can climb directly into the pool. The closed fence is no longer there, so you can look directly at the water, but there is a small (about 50 cm) grid barrier for the dogs so that they cannot walk directly into the water. Sufficient for us. Relaxing to relax and unwind perfectly! Very cozy! There is a small restaurant within walking distance. I'm sure we'll be back!

Beautiful large location, with all the comforts (also the comforts you don't think of yourself)

We stayed with Bianca for 7 days. 2 adults and 4 children. It was great. The place offers many possibilities for families. The children had bicycles and other vehicles available. Horses, goats, chickens and cats were also there for cuddling. The beds were very comfortable, almost better than at home :) Everything was clean, the kitchen equipped with everything needed. The kids made friends and the parents can also sit together comfortably in the evening. The surroundings offer many opportunities, uncomplicated fishing, ferries to the island, sandy beaches, indoor with a small zoo. All in all it was a great vacation, the kids were also thrilled!

We felt very comfortable in the house. It was as described and everything was available for a successful vacation. The location of the house is great for families! The beach, shopping and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Theo answered any questions quickly and kindly.

We had a very nice stay. We all enjoyed the sauna, the comfortable beds, the large and clean kitchen and our children also the kettcars! Thank you, Bianca!

Lovely cottage to stay with dogs. We closed the garden with our bikes so they could walk loose. Cottage is nicely central, walking distance to the supermarket and restaurant and within cycling distance of the beach and beach bars.

Had a very pleasant stay with Marlies. A cozily furnished house in a beautiful, green area. We came with 5 cars, 4 of which are electric. Very convenient that we could also use the charging station on location (additional charge). Contact with the host Marlies was very good. We really enjoyed it with our company outing!

Had a beautiful midweek on Ameland, of course due to the beautiful weather :) but certainly also because we had a nice place with Sjon and because Sjon and Anilea are nice people, and had good tips for our day trips. Recommended!

Beautiful and cozy house in a beautiful part of Holwerd. Large living room with dining table and kitchen, which is well stocked with equipment and supplies. I think Annet is a friendly and very helpful host.

The house is really good, amazing ameneties, I would expected having bed linen and towels(offered at 12.50 pp), but other than that the place, house and host were great, clean and the atmosphere is amazing

had a nice stay with Eva in Ballum. Flexibility in arrival and departure was very nice. With that, no worries about the boat. And the house and the area is beautiful. Close to the shop and within minutes by bike at the stand. Definitely recommend.

We were there for a week with our kids and grandma and grandpa. The apartment was super cut and equipped. The sauna was the high light. Everything was easily accessible by bike. Gladly come back.

Huge cozy holiday home that gave a home feeling😀 Snack bar on the area with a large selection on the menu, so here you have everything you need at one place. Short walk to baker, and other dining options. Very charming location👍🏻

Cozy and super clean chalet in vacation park. It is also very well insulated: despite the cutting cold, it was quickly nice and warm inside. Fantastic holiday!

Sieske, it was a very nice stay at your cottage. There was a lot of space, good beds and a nice garden (also for the dogs). We had beautiful weather and enjoyed the beautiful island. Definitely recommended.

The apartment itself is very cosy and set up nice, perfect for two guests. It can accommodate up to four if needed. The hotel that it's a part of is very nice, with it's own swimming pool (free) and excellent sauna, apart from other amenities. As we visited during winter, we were perfectly happy to be cosy at home and relax a bit, walking to Hollum which is close by, and the lighthouse/beach on some mornings. Overall, it was very pleasant and ticked off my expectations well. Would definitely recommend, even though it's a bit on the more expensive side.

We felt very comfortable in the complex and in the apartment. Everything was as described. The apartment was clean and functional. Glad to come back!

A very nice and cozy chalet. Located in a nice location on the island and the supermarket is also at the park. Had a great time here. Renee was a very good host!
