Perfect stay for some relaxed and peaceful days in a stylish, clean and lovely villa. We stayed for three nights with our kids and couldnt recommend this gem of a villa enough: Gianluca is a great host: always available & super friendly. Ira is a treasure: also always available and did everything to make our stay even more comfortable. We immediately felt like home and the style and athmosphere in the villa is just amazing. We spent the sunny days at the pool with the beatiful sorroundings. The Villa was very clean and perfectly eqquiped & furnished. See you next time in Ahangama 🙌

We had a nice time. The garden is huge and the house was clean and we had plenty of space as a family. You can explore the surroundings on foot. Restaurants, supermarkets and the beach can be explored on foot. A great neighborhood and above all a very quiet one. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime. The family even made us breakfast in the morning, which was incredibly delicious. We are very sad to have to leave and keep the house in beautiful memory. See you soon, Anna and Tim

We had a lovely stay. The house is true to the listing, and the staff perfectly assisted us from check-in to checkout. To enjoy the different points of interest, I would recommend renting a scooter because the house is a little set back from the beaches, for example.

We loved our stay here. It was very clean, was exactly like the pictures and the host, Danushaka was so responsive, helpful and friendly that it really levelled up our stay. We had a great time heading to the beach and surfing minutes from the house! My only comment that I think people should be aware of is that while there is excellent air-conditioning in the bedrooms, there is only fans in the communal areas, which meant they were pretty warm!

Really beautiful villa, great attention to design detail. Service was friendly and helpful and we can recommend the home cooking. The food was delicious!

The best thing about August beach house is it's location..sits right on the beach with lots of nice bars, restaurants and surf schools nearby. The staff were very kind and courteous and they keet the place squeaky clean through out our stay.

Sanjeewa and the team were extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. The property is spectacular and is like taking a step back in time and very well maintained. The pool area was amazing and the chef did an amazing job for breakfast and dinner with an abundance of food for us. Would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you all so much.

We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

Although it doesn’t have too many reviews the place itself was just great and perfect for our first night stay. The bed is big and very comfortable and bathroom is also very nice. The location was good and although it’s next to busy street you can’t hear it. The guest house is separate from the main buliding which is very convenient. Definitely recommend!

We spent a whole month in this house and were delighted! Spacious, cozy, with a lovely chill area by the river where you can relax and enjoy nature. I especially liked the rooftop – the perfect place to do yoga. The kitchen is fully equipped, so it was convenient to cook. The beds in the bedrooms are comfortable, slept great. The beach is only a 5-7 minute walk and the surf spot in Weligama is about 25 minutes away. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we are grateful to the hosts for their hospitality!

Awesome place to stay, relax and spend time with the groups. Has full kitchen with all the necessary vessels, cutlery, utensils. The House id equipped with all the necessary stuff right from board games to smallest knifes and felt like home.

Words cannot even describe how amazing our stay was. Dilan, his mom and his brother made us feel right at home and so friendly to be around. It was their personalities and their open hearts that made our stay extra special. One morning I asked Dilans brother to make us a dhal curry to go with our string hoppers and it was delicious. He was kind enough to make sure we were well taken care of, as if we were their own. The place itself was spacious, comfortable and just simply beautiful. Most of all, it was so peaceful and we loved their kitty cats and their dog Shane. You can see that the brothers put a lot of love and thought into the space that they build and it’s so beautiful to see their hard work put into it for us to stay, appreciate and enjoy. Overall, we loved our stay and will be back next year, while recommending them to everyone.

Highly recommended!!! It’s amazing place! The view from the cliff to the ocean is simply breathtaking. This is an unforgettable place that you want to return to. The bungalow is very cozy and clean, you can find everything you need for a good vacation. Loku is a man there, wonderful and friendly person. He came to the rescue more than once and recommended cool places. Thank you Anders for the wonderful organization and the house. We will be happy to come back!

We had a great time staying at Fahim’s place. We settled in comfortably and Fahim was very foregoing when meeting us, and later the overall hospitality and friendliness was 10/10 . The apparent is superb and answered all our requirements. the area is very peaceful and countryside-like. The apartment is directly opposite the mosque but the late prayers during Ramadan didn’t bother us , plus Fahim generously compensated us for potential disturbances. The beach and restaurants/cafes are at walkable distance. Overall one of the best Airbnb experience we ever had. ❤️❤️❤️

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks there. The house is a godsend with its location, right on the beach, and its amenities. The residents in the neighborhood were all very friendly. The place is not yet a tourist hotspot, which we enjoyed very much. There is a train station in Ambalanghoda, so you can easily get to other cities. Otherwise, the usual tuk tuks run everywhere. Jay the housekeeper fulfilled all our wishes and was very accommodating. He cooked for us a few times for an extra charge, very tasty!

Excellent Staff! Very well maintained premises, neat and clean but the highlight has to be the staff. The host was very prompt and helpful, prior to and throughout the stay. A little out of the way and secluded.Not much to do around the property, but that's why we loved it. Better with your own vehicle for transport. Pls do get the staff to prepare your meals, the best food we had on our trip to SL. Would definitely stay at pineapple Villa on my next trip to SL. Thank you Tushari, Hema and Randini.

Fantastic and quiet accommodation right on the beach. Ravith and all the others belonging to the property was very accommodating. You don't have to accept everything you're turned on and the prices sometimes deviate from the available menu, only around 100-200 LKR, anyway. Highly recommended!

I could describe this accommodation in 3 letters... WOW In my 3 years of travel ive probably never stayed in a place so beautiful and cool. I loved the semi exposed and outdoor feel of the place - green everywhere. And what a place to experience a downpour of rain - the scenery is just perfect. the apartment it's self was great, and the host was super helpful and responsive. I would absolutely love to stay there again

Spent 3 nights at Josephine's place. The place was super nice, spacious and had a great roof terrace. In addition, the recommendations were great - here Josephine put together a nice document that you should definitely read through. Also, the price was very fair. I highly recommend it. is a little off the beach but there is a small, cute shop right around the corner and a super delicious family-run restaurant (Humbhaha Ahangama) within walking distance. For most other things, it's better to take a tuktuk. Here you should definitely pay attention to the recommendation from the document, Anoura was just great :)! My only negative point is that it is a bit close to the railway line and can be a bit noisy at times - but that didn't bother us. Highly recommended!

Fabulous villa for our two families of 4 adults and 4 children (all under 5). The pool was the best we had during our time in Sri Lanka with a guard on duty to clean daily as well as being located in a lush garden where we had water monitors, mongoose and eagles fly above us. Jayantha is a true master in the kitchen. Please order his dinners if you stay as they taste delightful as well as cheaper than out at restaurants. The breakfast was even better with different options each day (egg hoppers, pancakes, omelette plus fresh fruit and toast). If we return we would not hesitate to stay again.

The place was fantastic. Exactly as the photos show and we had a wonderful stay. So spacious and clean. It was a bit hard to access as we were travelling by car, I would recommend taking a tuk tuk instead as it would be much easier. Overall fab time :) thank you

Great Stay for a Quiet Getaway! I had a pleasant stay at this Airbnb. The place was nice, clean, and well-maintained, offering a quiet and calm atmosphere—perfect for relaxation. While the location is a bit far from the beach and more on the inland side, it’s ideal for backpackers or those looking for a peaceful retreat. A nice bonus was the included breakfast, which was much appreciated. The host was friendly, supportive, and made sure everything was comfortable. Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d recommend it to travelers who don’t mind being a little further from the shore.
