Vacation rentals with lake access in Alto Alentejo

The location of the apartment is exactly as I had hoped - in a peaceful, quiet area and within a walkable distance to local supermarkets (including Aldi & Lidl). There were a couple of incidents (one of which was totally unforeseeable), but both of these were dealt with immediately by ‘Victoria’ who manages the property for Julien. Victoria was excellent. The only slight negative, as I’m a very light sleeper, was the thinness of the dividing walls. You can hear the neighbours moving around. They are extremely quiet after about 8:00pm, but when the family gets up at 6:45am to get the kids to school, the noise starts. It does, however, go quiet again about an hour later. If you sleep like a log, this won’t be an issue for you. Other than that, the surrounding area is stunning. Access to the North to places such as Lisbon, Nazaré, Peniche is easy (with a hire car). The same applies to Setubal and Sesimbra to the South.

The house is very well located, for those looking for a quiet stay and in a quiet neighborhood. Perfect for hiking, bike riding or water sports. The house is very well maintained and has everything you need for a great stay. We'll be back for sure.

Florbela’s place is beautiful and serene , we had a great time …. Enjoyed the river , the garden with all the fresh vegetables, and the lemons / oranges from the trees . Most exceptional was our host Florbela: even before we arrived she helped us plan everything, met us at the house ( we arrived on Christmas Day ), gave us a tour of the place , left us with a freshly cooked delicious pot of soup , and stocked the house with breakfast supplies that lasted the whole week . She made sure we received freshly baked bread every morning, and personally chose pastries to be delivered for our breakfast. Very generous and thoughtful, The best host we have ever had . We will back for sure , in the summer … And we highly recommend her place for anyone looking for an authentic, fun experience in central Portugal .

We had a fantastic time at Herdade do Montum. The host was super responsive and easy to communicate with. The house is a little gem, very cosy and beautiful, and the surroundings are lovely, very green and quiet. We had both dinner and breakfast at the Herdade, and both were delicious. Highly recommend a stay here for a couple of days to recharge and enjoy a quiet holiday!

If you want a peaceful getaway this is a great choice. Expansive and fairly deserted beach easy walking distance from the unit when we were there in October. I advise bringing groceries with you if you intend to do any cooking. The restaurant choices in Melides are ok. We went into Comporta the first night, a Sunday, mainly because the local restaurants weren't open when we were driving around trying to find somewhere to eat. Luis keeps this place spotless. The inside is spotless. The common area are spotless. Not a leaf or twig anywhere. They obviously take pride in their airbnb endeavor. We wanted a sort of vacation from our vacation and this worked great. One thing to note, there is construction going on a couple houses up the road so there is some noise at times on weekdays. Certainly not all the time. We will likely return.

I had a fantastic stay in Vila Nova de Milfontes thanks to a very kind Rita (& Martin), and the wonderful accomodation options. Communications leading up to my arrival were clear and timely, and also provided helpful information about the town and potential activities to explore while visiting. The property is set beautifully beside the river, quiet and serene, yet conveniently just a short walk away from beaches, shops and restaraunts. I didn't need to use my rental vehicle during my stay here as everything was conveniently nearby. I appreciated the cozy, charming decor and cleanliness- it really made it easy to feel at home. It was a highlight of my trip to stay here- I recommend to anybody looking to have a relaxed and truly special experience while visiting the area.

Pros: + great check-in experience, hospitality + all facilities present and are in fairly good condition + feels that apartment is being held with love + very comfortable flat and disposition for 2+2 + good public transport reach-ability (Cacilhas hub right nearby) Cons (mostly minors): - poor surroundings - moldy washing machine - you will hear everything, bad sound isolation in the house Overall, we're happy with our choice to stay in the Nest, it feels like one of the top places to stay in/near Lisbon.

Absolutely perfect location in middle of old Lisbon, short walk from plaza figueroa exit of rossio metro. The flat is very cute with fantastic street (and castle!) views from master bedroom, you can even see ocean. Heloiza was so flexible letting us drop bags early as we arrived in Lisbon few hours earlier than expected. Bottle of wine and full booklet of recommendations were thoughtful touches.

I really enjoyed this place. I stayed for about a week. Below are my positives and negatives/recommendations. Positives: -Great location -Spacious -Clean -Secure -Good internet -Responsive and accommodating hosts (I was able to have access to apt well before my official check-in time) -Apt overlooks a busy one way street full of shops and restaurants -Balcony is great for coffee and people watching -Newer insulated windows reduces sounds from street below Negatives or Recommendations: -More towels -Top sheet for bed (only had fitted sheet and cover) -Steep and narrow stairwell to apt makes it not a great choice for people with mobility issues -Replace the peeling chair in the tv room This apt is in an old building, but that is part of its overall "old world" charm. Overall, this is a great airbnb and I would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay—5 gal pals away to celebrate a milestone birthday year. They were kind enough to let us check in early and drop off our luggage, as we had flights that arrived a few hours before regular check in. The apartment is big and airy. Very walkable location with lots to do nearby. Very happy with our stay, thanks for everything!

The house was very well located, close to the beach with a parking lot closeby We have enjoyed our time and particularly the barbecue. If you are doing kitesurf it’s a very nice spot, just in front of one of the spots so you can go walking.

This is a lovely cottage with a private walled garden. There's a good variety plants - fresh mint, banana trees, various flowers, a lovely place to relax after a busy day exploring. There is a gas barbeque and a large garden table for dinner. The hot tub is a real bonus! The cottage is tastefully decorated with comfortable beds. We appreciated the fruit basket, bread and jam. We recommend booking the hot springs in Evora and having a massage. Google inacquaveritas We highly recommend Carlos place - one not to be missed!

I can only say well. The house is fantastic, decorated with extreme good taste. Super-equipped kitchen and strict cleaning. Paulo was always available for any questions. We were very happy here😊.

We had a brilliant time at Canto Do Zêzere - the house is really clean, spacious and comfortable, and the lakeside location is absolutely stunning. Boating on the lake was a highlight! We would definitely come back again.

This is a great space in a real out-of-the-way part of Portugal. Tired of big city tourism? Try this property. Tiny villages dot the hills and you get an old world sense of Portugal here. The pool is the real star of the property here (as are Eric's three dogs, one of which lounged with us each morning) as it overlooks he view of the river. We did use the kayaks as well. It is hard to get to them down a very steep hill with ladders and a bit of minor repelling. Not for those with a bad knee or hip. Which gets me to, accessing the apartments, particularly the lower unit, is tricky. Steep, slanting and uneven steps that can be a little slippery. Perhaps not for the elderly. Hint for improvement would be to upgrade the furnishings and kitchenware. The knives couldn't cut an orange.

It was a great stay! Five stars, very quiet, stylish apartment, beautiful landscape, we love the horses and dogs. Service (vegetables, eggs etc.) was wonderful too. Thanks a lot, Celine, Angélica and husband!

We liked everything about the stay in casa Mimosa. It sure isn’t a place to party, it is a location to enjoy peace and quiet. Casa mimosa house is divided to two halves, but it isn’t a problem at all - there is enough privacy and terraces are located separately. The house is well equipped and clean. Lovely garden that you can explore freely. Sometimes there is a baker who brings fresh bread to the reception area. Prem welcomed us kindly and took us and our luggage to the house, recommended local hiking trails, restaurants etc. It was wonderful to relax in total peacefulness, the sleep quality was epic.
