Monthly Rentals in Altarello

I stayed with Daniele for one night with my two children. We were very late because it took so long at the airport to get the rental car. But that wasn't a problem. Daniele is very easy to reach. The accommodation is for 2-4 people. Daniele has a great restaurant a few hundred meters away where we ate very well. The roof terrace there was absolutely fantastic. The room was as described and very clean. Parking was not an issue.

In Summary: 1. Placido was the perfect host, helpful, attentive, discreet and rightly proud of his villa 2. The villa itself was spotlessly clean with a very high fit and finish throughout 3. The gardens are magnificent, full of tall palm trees, beautiful plants, lots of evening lighting and traditional Scillian pottery. It is obvious that whole area has been meticulously maintained over many years. 4. The pool is large and flat bottomed, other than a gloriously deep area at one end. The water was crystal clear and Placido continually maintained the pool area during our stay. 5. The area is not overlooked and has a fantastic view of mount Etna in the distance. It is difficult to put into words just how well planted, maintained and landscaped the garden and pool area is. The garden is abound with mature palm trees, shrubs, cactuses, hand painted pottery and evening lighting. This is a lovely place to spend time in. Overall we highly recommend Villa Papardo. We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Sicilian retreat. The house is full of authentic charm, with details that reflect the local character and history. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and truly relax - peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. We loved enjoying our coffee with a view of the Etna. Simone is a great host - very responsive, kind, and always happy to share helpful local tips. He made us feel welcome from the very beginning. If you’re looking for a calm escape with real Sicilian atmosphere, this is the place. Only a short drive from Taormina and Catania. Highly recommended!

We felt very comfortable in Andrea's cozy apartment. Everything was very clean, the beds comfortable and in the kitchen we found everything we needed. We especially liked the view from the balcony to Mount Etna. Communication with Andrea and check-in were also very easy.
