My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

The enclosed front porch displays a view through large, multi-pane windows, allowing natural light to illuminate the space. A small decorative birdcage sits on a white ledge, while greenery and neighboring houses can be seen outside, contributing to the inviting atmosphere.

2nd Retreat

This bright and quaint historical little house is one block from the downtown district. This 2nd retreat has a charming enclosed front porch for sitting, a quiet serene space to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine, to read a book or just to sit and relax. We are in walking distance to a great Ice cream shop , the local winery, a quaint coffee shop, Mango's for margarita's and end the evening with the local movie theater. Enjoy the small town dynamic.

Latitudes Tavern Apartment

A premium spot in downtown Alpena. The center of downtown is two blocks down the road at 2nd Avenue and Chisholm St. We are located in a premium spot to find dinner, entertainment, shopping and most importantly nightlife. The space is located above a bar. So...it can be a little noisy for some. But if you are ok with some noise or don't normally turn in until later in the evening, we are for you. Our stay at this property was fantastic! It was exactly as described and super clean, making us feel right at home. With plenty of space for our family, we loved being just 5 minutes from the marina and found our favorite swimming spot on the lake. The kids had a blast fishing and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit at night. Morning walks were enjoyable, and the nearby general store had everything we needed. Gale was incredibly responsive and accommodating. If you’re looking for a true Northern Michigan experience, this is the place!"

This stay was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The location was incredibly peaceful with the most calming water views, and we instantly felt at home. When we walked in, the diffuser was going with essential oils and it smelled amazing—such a welcoming touch! The host provided everything we could need and more: an espresso machine, s’mores supplies, a bottle of wine, and plenty of cozy lawn chairs. We had a fire going almost the entire time, which made the slightly chilly weather feel magical. The couch was super comfy for lounging, and the beds were so soft and cozy—we all slept great. We truly didn’t want to leave. If I could move in tomorrow, I would. This place is a gem and we’re so grateful for the experience. Highly recommend!

This is my group's second time staying at Beth's place. Every other year me, my dad, and a couple friends drive up to Michigan to fish. The house is situated perfect for us. The dock makes it easy for us to keep the boats right there at the back door so we don't have to worry about anyone messing with our stuff. They've installed outlets out back, making it easy on us to charge the batteries. They even have a spot across the road to keep our trailers. Beth is always quick to respond. She and her husband and great hosts, and we never have to worry about anything. Everything is exactly as described which is why we knew booking this place would suit all of our needs. If you're wanting a great place to stay on long lake, this is it.

I had a wonderful stay at Pete’s place. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. There were thoughtful details all around the house like fresh cut flowers and a note with contact info. There were even dog bowls and items that made it feel more like home. This was a great spot to stay and I highly recommend it

i was craving some alone time with my fiance and kiddos, this place was perfect! it was so quiet, and tucked away, giving us the perfect private space we were wanting. we loved the beach and the cute gift shops in the area! adam’s airbnb made our first family vacation so cozy! 10/10 recommend! we hope to come back just to relive it ☺️
