Cabin vacation rentals in Alleghany County

My girlfriend and I had a great time spending the weekend at Tucked Inn and, for the most part, everything went as smoothly as expected! We arrived late, and there was a gentleman there starting some work on the property’s hot tub. We got in touch with Donnie using his phone, and my understanding is that the repairman was meant to arrive earlier in the day. I don’t necessarily believe it was any fault of the hosts that he was around. The drive up is straightforward as long as you follow the instructions the hosts provide; the path requires 1.5-2 miles of unmapped travel, so a GPS alone won’t quite get you there. Although I would definitely recommend traveling with a higher-clearance vehicle, my compact sedan made it up just fine with some caution and patience. Overall, Tucked Inn was a great space to unplug and unwind which is something we both really needed. It’s a very cozy and low-tech-vacation space I would hope we have the chance to come back to in the future!

This place was great. Wonderful views. Private and quiet. Non-stop hummingbirds visiting the feeder on the deck.

Everything was great. Loved the porch and the views. Lots of great extras such as coffee pods, spices, paper products, etc.

Both the cabin and location were absolutely beautiful! Tucked away and private, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away. The hot tub worked perfectly, and was very clean. Highly recommend!

Jeremy's place was a wonderful place to relax during a busy wedding weekend. It's 20 minutes from Sky Retreat, the wedding venue we used. I highly recommend Jeremy's place for a place to relax. The views were beautiful, we saw bunnies and deer, and the firepit was delightful!

We really enjoyed our visit! The house was perfect. We were so happy just relaxing on the deck and in the hot tub. We lost power only briefly but the generator kicked on so no real interruption. We found it hard to leave and head back home. Thank you for the wine as well as such a beautiful place to spend our vacation.

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

We had a wonderful stay! If you’re looking for something private with a beautiful view of the mountains, this is it! It rained a good bit during our stay but we were still able to enjoy the covered porches with rocking chairs. The neighborhood also includes private hiking trails and a small pond.

Great view! Especially in October. The beds in two of the rooms are a bit small so just plan for it. Nothing nearby so be sure to bring all the food you need. Very clean place, just the expected critters around due to remote area.

Frank was a great host and was very responsive and flexible. We loved the house and the game room was a lot of fun!

I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind in nature. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary. It was so cozy and there were so many little details that made it the perfect little place. The view from cabin 1 was great and we were able to watch the sunrise over the hills. It was an amazing place for star gazing. We never left the cabin and it was a perfect place to rest and recharge in nature. The only thing I would want to warn about is that the hill to get from the parking area and bathrooms to the cabin is pretty steep. It was manageable but if you have difficulty with mobility it could be tough. But overall would highly recommend!

We loved our stay at this house! The view is amazing, house was perfect and we loved the peacefulness. We loved tubing and fishing and being right there on the river!! Wonderful vacation!! Can't wait to go back next year!!!!

This was our second stay at Dina’s cabin - and it was again such a great experience. The cabin is a perfect mix of historic country feel and modern living space. We spent our days on the front porch swing, evenings in the kitchen and on the huge screened porch, and a fun night around the fire. Dina’s cabin is a perfect hideaway for people looking to visit the Blue Ridge and get away from it all - but to do so with all the modern amenities!

We had the most amazing host ever. Anytime there was a question, she responded immediately. Her home is a beautifully decorated log cabin in a great location to allow for day trips. It has amazing views including a telescope on the upper level, very comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. I can think of nothing you might need during your stay that she hasn't provided. If I could give this Airbnb more than five stars, I WOULD.

Emily and Taco were amazing hosts. We had a Girls' Weekend and enjoyed the home and amenities. Emily and Taco were responsive from the onset, and we felt right at home. This home is within 30 minutes of amazing West Jefferson, so the drive was beautiful and easy. Would highly recommend this home and hosts!

Overall a great place to stay! Did lack soap for showers & some kitchen cookware. Grass was overgrown so couldn’t use the outdoor fire pit. View from the back patio was very nice.

Beautiful home and setting. The home was comfortable with all the amenities you could hope for. The pond was awesome! We had a wonderful weekend and hope to come back again!

This place was absolutely gorgeous! We loved every minute we spent there. The neighborhood is gated, which was a huge plus for us. Don’t let that fool you, this is a huge secluded property. There are no neighbors in sight! The property itself is absolutely exquisite. The landscaping is amazing and all the trees lining the driveway are manicured. There are 2 large stocked ponds within walking distance of the cabin which are so peaceful to sit and relax by. Our dogs were in heaven! We went walking & explored the extended property and trails each day. The cabin itself is huge. It offers 2 floors with plenty of bedrooms and space for everyone to find privacy. We had my family up for Christmas which included 7 adults and we never once felt crowded. The kitchen is definitely the centerpiece of the cabin. It’s enormous & the layout is perfect for entertaining larger groups. HIGHLY recommend this property for anyone looking for a secluded cabin experience with awesome host! Thank you Anthony!

Beautiful home nestled in the woods. We were happy to have 4x4 as the lane is steep, but no issues with it. Bedrooms were nice place was cozy. Easy to get to main roads. Hosts incredibly responsive and helpful. Would happily visit again.

Claudia is a very responsive and helpful host. Cabin was clean and easily accessible. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived which was very sweet, and cabin was nice and warm. We will definitely be back.

We loved our stay at the cabin!! It was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had everything you needed! Brett was very responsive and communicated well. The hot tube and fire pit was wonderful to get outside and relax. The river is not on the property, but could be accessed with a short drive down the hill. Sparta is a such a cute small mountain town that allows you to relax and unwind while enjoying some great shops, food, and trails. The cabin is very close to town which made it easy to enjoy all the town had to offer, including live music. Of note the property is on the corner of two roads that do have some traffic as well as neighbors that can be seen from both the front and back porch. We loved our stay and would definitely do it again! Thank you Brett for your hospitality and allowing us to use your beautiful cabin.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. We were there for 4 nights. The place is clean and has everything you need for your stay including a coffee maker, toaster, microwave oven and everything you need to prepare a meal. There aren't really any places close by to eat unless you drive 30 minutes into West Jefferson so make sure you bring plenty of food and beverages. This house is extremely secluded in the middle of wooded areas with a few other houses close by and the roads to get there are mostly gravel and poorly maintained in some areas. If you like peace and quiet this is the place for you. You'lle enjoy sitting on the decking that completely wraps around the entire house and one section in the rear of the house has a mountain view. I recommend bringing your own comfy folding lawn chair to sit outside.

Beautiful place, felt safe in nice gated community. Easy drive to the river was nice.
