Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Allegany County

We were three couples and a six year old. The arrangement of the accommodation was just what we needed. Because we had travelled for a wedding we were out for most of the day and unfortunately bad weather meant we couldn’t make use of the outdoor facilities but we have already recommended the property to a friend and would like to return for a future family occasion.

Denise our host was absolutely warm and accommodating.. she went out of her way to drop off an extra heater when the place got colder (upstate NY in Oct). I’d happily recommend this to everyone! The kitchen was well stocked and we didn’t have to go anywhere to find Cuttery and dishes

We loves our stay at the tree house! it was the perfect place for our wknd of hiking Letchworth and Stonybrook! The place was super cute and the grounds were beautiful! we enjoyed some drinks out on the deck while listening to the sounds of nature.

We stayed with 6 adults and 5 kids over New Years and for skiing at Holiday Valley. GREAT place. Cozy cabin feeling, large dining area where we could all eat together, two separate living rooms so kids could recreate and adults could hang out - games room too! And toys for younger kids! Bedrooms were ideal: beautiful hand crafted wooden bed frames with comfy linens. Enough showers and bathrooms for all guests. Very clean. The barn with animals was delightful and the kids loved it. Made friends with 2 cats. For us, it was a picturesque drive to the ski resort and price was more attractive than ski chalet prices. Thank you to our hosts for clearing out the driveway every morning during epic snow. Thank you for a delightful stay.

We recently stayed at this rental and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming, perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The spacious layout provided plenty of room for our family to spread out, and we never felt cramped. Whether it was enjoying meals together or just lounging around, the space was ideal for quality family time. The surrounding area also contributed to the calm vibe, adding to the overall sense of peace. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great place to stay with their family! This is our second stay at the house and it was just as great as the first stay. We had four family members join the two of us, and we were all comfortable. We particularly liked the comfy beds, the nice hot shower and the laundry area as the area we visited is in full mud season! The kitchen is well stocked making it easy to prepare food and clean up. We will return as it is a very nice home, convenient to family members nearby and an excellent value.

Great location for visiting Alfred University and the local area. Loved the unique building design and all the ceramics inside. Rooms are huge! Kitchen is very well equipped.

The pics are spot on. Nicely decorated. Right on Main Street. Walk to restaurants supermarket very close. Beds were comfortable as was seating area. Loved the window shades. Even though it is listed as 1c there are about 5 steps down to the apt.

As always a great experience and stay at Caitlyn’s property. Such a great space and excellent host, definitely plan on staying there again on next trip to Alfred.

Teri and her husband are awesome! They made us feel welcome right away and it was great getting to know them! The apartment was very very nice! Everything was neat and clean with everything we could have needed for our stay. Thank you guys so much and we look forward to staying in the future!

My son and I loved this apartment, it was super clean and cozy, the record player and games were great entertainment and the location was perfect! Would highly recommend this place to others. Marshall was very friendly and accommodating.

I love the comfy right at home feel and look. The personal touch Margaret gave was so nice. Fresh Bread, Homemade Jam, and fresh eggs were amazing! Love the area. Great host, so comfy and cozy with convenience of stores, restaurants etc.

Worked well for us as we visited Houghton University for a college tour. Location couldn't have been more convenient and easy to find. Perfect size for the three of us.

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at The Place! Swain was a very quiet and peaceful area (though I'm sure it gets busier during ski season), and we felt safe and enjoyed the privacy. While we did have to drive a bit for restaurants and activities, the condo was stocked with plenty of kitchen equipment that allowed us to cook meals during our stay, and also had a variety of board games for entertainment. The wifi was very spotty, but that was not a huge concern for our stay. One other thing I want to note was that there were some clothes left in closets and used toiletry items in the bathroom cabinets; I was not bothered by it since everything was very clean, but just a heads up if anyone is not comfortable with that. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of blankets and towels, and the wood fireplace was nice for chillier nights. Overall, I have to say that the condo was beautiful and exceeded my expectations - the pictures really do not do it justice!

Was a prefect stay while passing through, we booked last min, same day and had a wonderful slumber. Located in a cute little town. was safe and nice and quite.

The condo was beautiful, well stocked and clean. Celeste and Breanna answered all our questions promptly, and did everything they could to enhance our stay. We’re very impressed.
