Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Algoma District

Ryan made our stay enjoyable was quick with responses. This property was just what we needed for a family weekend.

The bay was one of the few bays that weren't frozen over; while there was still some ice floats, the water was very calm and relaxing and the whole place was very serene. Very few other people were around since it was mid-April and we really enjoyed the quiet of it all. The apple fritters really are delicious, and the other reviews are right to suggest getting all your groceries in Sault Ste. Marie on your way (assuming you're coming from the south). If anyone in your party is tall, be aware the door frames are 6' so anyone taller will have to be careful not to whack their heads. We would love to come back in the summer and use the beach and all the outdoor stuff with the dogs. Can't beat the views from the front windows!

Quiet, comfortable, modern furnishings, beautiful backyard, close to the beach & walking trails, spacious kitchen. Highly recommend for personal or business travelers!

I highly recommend this amazing house right on the banks of Bright Lake. I have zero complaints and we will be returning! Nicole was very accommodating and couldn't ask for a better host. If you're looking for a peaceful and beautiful house on the lake trust me you wont be disappointed if you stay at the Rocky Retreat!

We had a lovely long weekend at Tristan's place. The location is perfect and very convenient to some outstanding restaurants and shops in Richard's Landing. Tristan is very responsive and so friendly. The home was impeccably clean and had everything anyone would need. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and very peaceful. Sunsets were breathtaking! The hot tub and sauna were a plus! We loved it so much we've already booked it for a long weekend again next month. Thank you so much Tristan!

Glen and Sonja have a beautiful home to accommodate lots of guests. Beds are comfortable and everything was very clean. Loved the sun porch with the evening sun and the upstairs balcony for afternoons. Lots of outdoor furniture and chairs to accommodate company. Would stay here again for large gatherings.

Gil & Sil - A very responsive host. They made us feel like own home and they were like our friends. Sil suggested lots of places for my kid. Me, my wife and kid absolutely loved the stay. Highly recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Krista's place. She provided us with recommendations via messages for great places to ski, and the apartment had a comprehensive list of suggestions as well. My wife and I cooked one or two meals every day, and the kitchen was fantastic to work in. The bed was comfortable, and the living room was spacious, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We loved walking around downtown Sault Ste. Marie, especially Queen St., where we found many after-Christmas bargains at various shops. We also dined at several restaurants within walking distance, which was very convenient. Overall, Krista’s place made our trip memorable, and we would definitely stay here again.

Tina and her faithful dog Daisy, greeted us warmly! The apartment felt welcoming and cozy right from the moment we entered. The fully stocked kitchen was appreciated as well as the “extras”…tea, coffee, snacks!! We really enjoyed our stay.

Rene and Sandra were great hosts. They accommodated us very well with lots of parking for our trucks and trailers and access to the lake for fishing. They went above and beyond on our check out date which helped us out greatly. They always responded very quickly and check in was a breeze. Beautiful views as well. Would recommend to anybody.

Few hiccups with the remote entry but Ian was responsive to text and got it sorted even at 10 pm. Made sure we had everything we needed. Overall a good host.

Our stay was comfortable. During the night, there was an unexpected accident—my child had a nosebleed (a first for us) on the bed. I reached out to Ryan, and he responded with such kindness and understanding. He assured us not to worry and mentioned that he already planned to replace the queen bedding, which we had found to be very clean and new. We really appreciated his thoughtful and supportive response—it made a stressful moment much easier to handle. Thank you, Ryan, for being such a considerate host!

Luke was a very responsive host and the place was easy to find! He gave us clear instructions how to find it and how to get inside which was great! The place is located close to the water which was a great addition to our trip as we were able to see the sunset by the water :) The place is well described in the listing and there were a lot of amenities.
