Castle Loft, Central Wallingford

Wallingford was once home to one of the strongest and most important castles in England. In 1067 William the Conqueror instructed the building of the castle on his way to London to take the throne. In 1502 Henry VIII inherited the castle. On 17 November 1652 Cromwell’s Council of State ordered its demolition, making way for this newly built loft apartment within the castle boundary. Just 3 minutes walk from shops bars and restaurants, downstairs shower & cloakroom, gas central heating and WIFI.

Yet only ten minutes walk gets you to the countryside! The village also boasts a mainline station with direct trains to London Paddington.

Private outside area available. Superb area for walks, cycling (we can provide space to keep bikes) and adventures on the river. Excellent range of restaurants and pubs nearby.
