Vacation rentals with a pool in Agios Nikolaos

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

Lia was so helpful and amazing during our stay. Fast responses when asked questions, she provided us with not only comfort but made us feel like we are at home. We didn’t have a car so lia was kind enough to help us in every way possible. Lia was the best hostess we could have asked for and we are so grateful for her. Definitely the best place we have ever booked and we will definitely be recommending this to others and we will come back for sure!

Snorkelling paradise! Nikos and the Stone House were both great. The house is small, but has everything you need, with the pool and BBQ area where we spent most of our time, and the steps down to the sea lead to a perfect spot for snorkelling, where we saw all sorts of types of sea life. Nikos was there with everything we needed, including recommendations of beaches / restaurants etc. Ierepetra is a much nicer town than people say and the Stone House is a 5 minute drive into town. You could walk, but we didn't. Would highly recommend!

The best, most luxe Airbnb experience! 🥹 From the epic views and immaculate landscaping (with butterflies everywhere!) to the private pool + tennis court to the incredible suite with comfortable bed, spacious / modern living + kitchen spaces and endless amenities. This place has it all and is in absolute paradise. We were at peace the whole time. We loved the outdoor shower, free laundry, local village bakeries / cafes & restaurants, total privacy, local provided olive oil (made by the host!), and friendly hosts. We had a super time with Stefani and Antonis. The villa is super, the pool was warm, the area quiet, and the view down to Herssonios and out right to the mountains was lovely. We chose it because it was walking distance to some shops and restaurants. The village is lovely and a short 5-10min walk from the villa. We were at the very end of the season, so many of the restaurants in the village closed, but we always found somewhere to eat. Herssonios is a longer walk away (maybe 30 mins) and has supermarkets, pharmacies, and restaurants galore, even after the season ended. We found the walk downhill to the town, and back uphill to the village fine, even with 2 kids. Herssonios itself didn’t hold much charm for us, but we found a taxi to Agios Nikolas (delightful), Heraklion’s museum (more engaging for us than the Athens archeological museum), and Rethimno (lovely old town, laneway cafes, long stretch of beach) filled enough of our days. And with a heated pool to return to, no complaints.

As a couple staying here, we can recommend for a quiet and relaxing stay. Everything is as advertised: simple but clean. The terrace offers privacy and is surrounded by olive trees. Restaurants are on walking distance, as is the beach (20 min) if you can cope with the steep hill. As almost everywhere in Crete, a car comes in handy for any other trips.

Very quiet place with amazing views. We really enjoyed our time there. The house is well equipped and has everything your heart desires. In the surrounding villages are very beautiful beaches, which were hardly visited, as well as small tavernas with super tasty and cheap food. We felt very comfortable.

We came as a family for a few days and were greeted by Lefteris' mom. The hosting was more than pleasant, this woman breathes the joy of living. Beyond AIRBNB, you can see that she does it because she loves people. We were able to talk several times with Lefteris who was always super responsive, just like his mom on site. We loved our stay and if we come back to the area, we won't hesitate to come back. Thank you again for everything and for the next guests. Enjoy and book without fear.

We loved this home. The huge terrace and view are so amazing. We spent lots of time on the nice patio furniture outside enjoying it. We also loved the pool. You can walk to a few spots in the area for dinner and we really enjoyed the patio bar at the hotel next door. Fun spot. Across the street was Pegasus Dive and boat rental. It was so nice to walk there and rent a small boat to see the town from the water. The town is really nice and the perfect size place to explore. We spent a week here and another week in Chania area. This was the second year running that we stayed at this apartment(4 weeks this time), and it was just as good as last year. We booked 10 months in advance and was in contact with Michalis 3 or 4 times during the year. Just before we arrived we requested that some provisions were available as we had a very late flight and Michalis provided water, milk, fruit and even some raki with honey! (nice welcome). As usual the apartment was well stocked with kitchen utensils, bed linen and towels; plus a new digital washing machine (quick wash 15 mins! ) The pool is a big bonus if you don't fancy the 20-25 min walk down to Hersonissos. Lots of bars and restaurants in the nearby villages of Piskopiano and Koutoufoulari. Car hire is also available. Already thinking of returning next year.

The room was nice and big, view from the balcony was really beautiful, pool was great and the location was the best. You can find everything you need in Istro - shops, tavernas, beautiful beaches. We loved it and we can certainly recommend!

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is well equipped, walkable from old town and beach. Totally recommend!

Our family of 4 had a great time at the villa Feronia. Catherine and Manolis left wine and beer in the fridge as well as all the basics needed in the kitchen, bathroom and laundry corner. The Garden and the pool area is duper nice and well equipped too. As the weather was cool end of October, we used the jacuzzi instead of the pool. Arrival and departure were smoothly organized. Catherine reacted promptly whenever we had a question. We would definitely come again !

Very nice and beautiful accommodation with amazing rooftop terrace. Good with intermediate cleaning and good with a private pool in the area that the children especially liked. We had bad luck with strong winds a couple of days that meant we couldn't be on the beach, but then the pool was completely okay for us adults too. From our accommodation to the beach it was about 150 meters which allowed us to go down and swim in the sea to go back and sunbathe by the pool. Many smaller grocery stores, bakery and butcher right next door. There were many restaurants to choose from, especially west towards the harbor about 700 meters.
