It is approximately 1 hour drive from Ballina. It is ideal for a relaxing holiday or for weekend let. There are lovely areas to explore and walk or cycle. It is an ideal base to travel the Atlantic drive and Co Mayo.

Claire was a wonderful host. The bedroom was cosy and warm. Her home is pristine clean. Claire provided plenty of information on the area with restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast is very substantial. I have no problem recommending this accommodation

We had a lovely stay at Mairead’s apartment. The accommodation was more spacious than expected from the pictures. Perfectly clean and comfortable. We are very familiar with this area and would recommend this lovely quiet spot as a great base for enjoying Westport and surrounds and also exploring the rest of Mayo and North Galway.

We really enjoyed staying here. It was a charming and well-kept place with friendly staff. The island is beautiful (if quite exposed to the elements).The only challenge was the weather, as it was raining and cold in the middle of august! But the place itself was a find.

From the moment we arrived we felt right at home, felt like we were visiting family. Mary was there to greet us and make sure we were comfortably settled into our rooms. Mary was a wealth of information for all our questions and provided information for those we didn't ask. I would highly recommend staying at Mary's.

Our stay with Noreen was only one night and my father and I were almost sorry to continue our trip. She has a lovely space available to guests, both bedroom and a kind of living room, where she even served breakfast. After a great walk from the letterkeen trailhead, this was wonderfully relaxed and welcoming with the sweetest hostess.
