Onder de kastanjeboom staat ons romantische vrijstaande huisje in het pittoreske Schellinkhout. Volledig uitgerust met keuken, badkamer, TV en 2 pers. bed met heerlijk matras. In 10 stappen sta je op het zandstrandje om te zwemmen, zonnen en (kite)surfen. Wandel langs het vogelbroedgebied, fiets in de omgeving, golf in Westwoud of verken VOC havenstadjes Hoorn en Enkhuizen. Bushalte en parkeren voor de deur. 30 min. van Amsterdam. Gezellig restaurant op 100m. Ontbijt regelen wij op de 1e dag!

Ons sfeervolle huisje staat achter in de tuin, en is opgebouwd uit de oude bouwmaterialen van de oude veiling van Avenhorn. Gunstig gelegen op 10-40 km. van: Hoorn-Enkhuizen-Medemblik, Edam-Volendam-Marken. Maar zeker ook Alkmaar, de Zaanse schans, Amsterdam en niet te vergeten de kust van N.Holland.

Experience how it feels to live in a typical dutch (Holland) village! We, Peter and Lia, live here for about 25 years with our family. We are carpenters and we sell our handmade furniture in our own small shop at our property. We made our guesthouse "De Gortla". We love to travel and be in our garden (as you can see). Omschrijving Bed and breakfast In a Glasshouse is gevestigd in Oostwoud in het hart van Westfriesland. Het is een cottage-achtige woning gelegen achter ons glasatelier in de diepe tuin aan het water. The deck-house and wheelhouse in the back of a former sailing cargo-ship van 1888 is transformed into a small apartment . The rest of the boat is a shop with sailing / marine equipment and a bunker station. The entrance is due to the age of the ship a small steep stair, keep that in mind. The surrounding is a lively harbor with sail-ships and cruise-ships. There is a parking available for €5 - a night very closeby. So enjoy the sound and movements of the water!

The house is very close to the train station, and only a few minutes walk to some of the best restaurants and sailboat viewing in town. It is perfect for a long stay or a short holiday!
