Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Zona Colonial

Wilson is a great host. He responded to all questions within a few minutes. The place is exceptional. There are numerous restaurants and entertainment in walking distance. The building has 24/7 security which was nice. If you have a vehicle the security will have to buzz you in and out of the complex. There was one small hiccup to access the amenities you will need the key fob. I messaged Wilson and with a quick response I had access to the key fob. I recommend staying here 10/10. This will be one of the first places I look to book when visiting Santo Domingo.

Great place! The apartment is very large, has a full sized kitchen, the fridge, washing machine. Stayed with the kids and the patio pool was amazing. The apartment is very spacious and is much better than the pictures describe it!

Great host! Quick to respond.... Quiet 3 bdrm 2 1/2 bath with elevator, views of the Colonial Zone/ river, mini market and restaurant downstairs. Security was great. You can fish at the bridge across the street and I walked maybe 8 minutes to the entrance of the Colonial Zone. Cross the street from the Airbnb, walk across the bridge and cross another street and you're there. Uber ride to Colonial Zone was under 130 pesos. Uber ride to Agora Mall was only 260 pesos. Mini market came in handy but they also have Delivery to the Airbnb from the local Colmados. I'll definitely stay here again

This is the second time we've stayed here. The apartment is excellent, spacious, and has everything. The cleanliness is spectacular, you feel safe at all times. There are supermarkets near the place that you can walk to. It is on the first floor, the parking is safe and it is very close to the apartment. Anyway, I feel like it's my second home in another country. Rafael is always very attentive, helpful, communicative and flexible.

Everything was as I expected

Words can’t fully express the connection I felt with the host, the community, and this Airbnb. I stayed for 15 days, and from the moment I arrived, Michelle greeted me warmly and gave me a thorough tour of the space. The location is in a charming, well-established area of Santo Domingo with incredibly friendly neighbors. It’s easy to get around with Uber, and the neighborhood feels very safe. This Airbnb has the charm of a Washington, D.C. brownstone, complete with stunning rooftop views, a washer and dryer, an air fryer, and a reliable power backup to ensure uninterrupted TV and fast WiFi—perfect for remote workers. The water is consistently hot, and the AC keeps the space comfortably cool. Michelle and her support team were always available and eager to help. One of the best features is the secure remote access system, providing both privacy and controlled guest entry. Overall, this was an exceptional stay, and I highly recommend it!

We had a great stay at this apartment in Piantini. It’s right in the heart of downtown Santo Domingo, and the neighborhood felt peaceful and safe. The apartment was cozy, spacious, and had everything we needed. Communication with Carlos was excellent—he was responsive and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

It is a centrally located accommodation in the city, close to most ministries. Organized and clean. I recommend it.
