The old village school

The old school/schoolmaster's house is on the edge of a tiny village where there's no shop, no café, so you’ll need a car. It's very rural here, with views across the gently undulating countryside from the school. Two small towns with supermarkets - La Machine and Cercy-la-Tour, are both about 11 kilometres away. Decize, a much larger town on the Loire, is about 18 km away. There are two double bedrooms, and another small one with a triple-layer bunk bed suitable for children.

The house was built from former horse stables and will surprise you with many pretty details. The house is very comfortably furnished: on the ground floor there is a well-equipped, open kitchen with dining area as well as a comfortable living room with TV/DVD. Everything is spacious, open and cozy. Upstairs are two bedrooms with a private bathroom, either with shower or bathtub. In addition, there are two outdoor seating areas with barbecue facilities.

Rest and relax in this recent house, in the middle of the sober countryside, for 3 people maximum in 2 bedrooms, just 3.5 km from the village of Doyet and its small shops and 12 km from access to the A71 highway. Everything necessary is included (sheets, towels, washing machine, dryer, hairdryer...) and the house has the food necessities to start the stay (salt, pepper, oil, pasta...) In summer, bicycles can be provided for €40/stay + deposit

Bonjour and a warm welcome to you! :) We are Sandra and Roy, two young Germans who settled in the green heart of France at the end of 2020. We speak a little French, English and our native language, German. We invite you to discover the calm and magic of our new home. At our place, you'll find a rustic veggie garden and free-roaming animals like two nice pigs, lovely chickens, ducks, rabbits, and our two cats, named Panthera and Chaudchat.
