Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.

宮津の中心街から車で10分程度で里山、田園風景が自慢の「上宮津」という地域内で３年ほど空き家になっていた物件をリノベーションして１棟貸しの宿泊施設へと生まれ変わりました。海までは10分、天橋立までは15分、伊根の舟屋までは45分。特別綺麗な施設ではありませんが、地域ならではのゆっくりとした時間を過ごしていただます。基本的にお料理は出していませんが、ご希望の方は近隣のおにぎりcafeの当施設限定朝食おにぎりセットを予約することができます（有料）地域の方との交流やBBQ、収穫体験などのメニュー、地域内e-bikeツアーなどもご紹介可能です。事前にお問い合わせください。またBBQは一式のレンタルで¥2,200で準備します。（イス、コンロ、炭、火ばさみ、準備から片付けまで）食材は含まれません。ゲストの方でご準備してください。レンタル以外でのBBQはご遠慮いただいています。ガレージでは、BBQの他、自転車やバイクのメンテナンスを雨に濡れずに行う事ができます。鍵付きの建物内に保管できますので安心して丹後一周する事が可能です。駐車場は当施設すぐ後ろに駐車スペースがあります。

宮津市街中心部に残る築100年の純日本家屋「小粥家」アンティーク古民具や階段箪笥、長持(布団などを収納する嫁入り道具)が飾られ、昔ながらの日本の暮らしが体験できます。和貴宮神社裏手に佇み、神社の祝詞が静かに響いてきます。その先には、2024年1月国の重要文化財に指定された日本最古級の木造教会堂「カトリック宮津教会」があります。宮津駅から徒歩8分(600m)、海までは5分。スーパー、コンビニ、コインランドリーが徒歩5分圏内にあります。日本三景·天橋立まで自転車で15分という大変恵まれた立地です。松並木を走った先にはパワースポットとして名高い「元伊勢籠神社·真名井神社」があります。伊根の舟屋までは市役所前からバスで約1時間、片道400円でアクセスできます。古民家のため、家の密閉性はあまりありません。冬は暖房器具を完備していますので寒さはしのげますが、隣家との壁が薄いです。特に夜間は大きな声や音を出さないよう、よろしくお願いいたします。家具家財が古いため、10歳未満のお子様のご宿泊はご遠慮ください。英語対応OK。お気軽にご相談ください。
