The house is located besides the town center, in an area of 600 meters (6458.346 ft²) . The places and what can be visited nearby.   If you arrive at the airport in Mexico City and you prefer not to walk its streets, you can take the bus right there to Oaxtepec, where I can reach you and drive you to my home on a trip of about ten or fifteen minutes.   The stay in Tlayacapan may be simply to go into the country life of Morelos, enjoy it's quiet atmosphere, hardly influenced by the proximity of three major cities, and its calm and eternally warm weather. And maybe also as a base for trips to alternate your stay with a day or two visits to nearby sites of interest.   The first hours can definitely have some activity: the hills surrounding the valley leading to walks that promise splendid views. On clear days the volcanoes Popocatepetl and Iztlacihuatl frame the landscape. The balconies are ideal spots for meditation. Worth visiting the Monastery, The Muncipal Palace, the Chandlery and over twenty chapels, all colonial buildings. You can go on foot or in vehicles suitable for Guided tours by local people. You can always get a good soup, a very typical Mexican stew and quesadillas, from Friday to Sunday the offer is extended. If you want lunch or dinner with certain luxury any day other than Monday, you can go to the "Mercado del Puerto" in Oaxtepec, a delicious Argentine style restaurant.   Breakfasts are served at home and can be suited to the visitor.    Tlayacapan, one of the *"Magical Towns" in the country, is located on the Convent Route, which covers 27 magnificent monasteries built in the early sixteenth century on what was an ancient trade route. Tlayacapan's covent (San Juan Bautista) is the nearest neighbor of Atlatlauhcan's covent (San Mateo), the Totolapan's covent (San Guillermo) and Oaxtepec's (Santo Domingo), where are the remains of the first hospital in the Americas. Half an hour is Tepoztlan's covent (The Nativity), two more in Cuautla (Santo Domingo and San Diego) and the Yecapixtla's (San Juan Bautista). The route is long and covers a section of the state of Puebla.   You can also visit on a day tour the archaeological sites of Chalcaltzingo and Xochicalco.   The walks can be alternated with Spanish lessons: teaching the language is one of my favorite specialties. *A "Magical town" is a place with symbolism, legends, history, important events, a place where you can expericence the real mexican traditions.
