Private building (up to 24 people) with hammock, sauna, BBQ, large screen, and starry sky in Yatsugatake

平野Rating, 5 stars7 months ago
There is a large hall, multiple toilets, and a slightly larger bathroom and shower room, perfect for large groups. It was also great to have a nice coffee shop and other restaurants and hot springs where you can see the sea of clouds in the early morning, such as Migahara and Takabuchi. It is also nice to see the stars very beautiful at night. However, if you are thinking of a BBQ, it would be better for you to be careful that there is no roof and that you use gas, and that there is a separate fee.The kitchen is simple and not suitable for large groups, but it was a bar counter and had a very nice atmosphere. There was also a barrel sauna outside that was free to use.Overall, I think it was a nice place to stay with a very strong edge on the facilities and location. We'd love to stay again if we get the chance.

Traditional Japanese-style house "Bougakuan"

BirdRating, 5 stars2 months ago
This stay is absolutely perfect. A perfect, beautiful home that’s a literal skip away from the Mt Fuji Welcome Area. The home was perfect and as described and our host was amazing at what he does. He came and picked us up from Fujikawa station and then drove us back when it was time to leave. Please let him come get you if he offers, you’ll need it! He then provided us a tour of the home, perfectly explained all amenities and how to properly use them. Please respect the home, it is very old and he worked very hard on it. We will be booking this home every time we visit Mt. Fuji in the future!
The image showcases four distinct areas of the property. A hot spring surrounded by brickwork is featured, alongside a room with a water bed. A traditional Japanese room with shoji screens offers a cultural ambiance, while the terrace presents a view of the surroundings with outdoor seating.

We very much enjoyed our stay here ! The house is very large with 4 bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, bath tubs both indoors and outdoors and everything you need for a fantastic holiday. It is located in a peaceful forest area away from the crowds. If you have a dog, there are also plenty of facilities for your pet. Very easy to get from the house to Lake Kawaguchi and Chureito Pegoda, the 7 seas of Oshino, many temples, gardens, museums and also the F1 racetrack. If you have a car, this home is a perfect base to get everywhere. We really felt at home and enjoyed that everyone had their own bedroom with comfortable beds.
A tranquil outdoor rock bath is surrounded by lush greenery and flowering plants. The still water reflects the rocky edges and the soft steam rises gently, creating a serene atmosphere. Natural stones form the borders of the bathing area, enhancing the connection with nature.

Hot-Spring House in Hakone by Norwegian Icons

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay at Gabriel's home in Hakone. The private indoor and outdoor onsen were absolutely perfect—such a relaxing experience and exactly what we needed to unwind midway through our trip. The space was clean, peaceful, and very comfortable for our group of four. One of the highlights was how accommodating the host was—allowing us to leave our luggage at the home after check-out so we could continue exploring Hakone without the hassle of carrying our bags. It made a big difference and we’re so grateful. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and convenient stay in Hakone!

It was a last-minute reservation, but they handled it very nicely. Everything you need for a barbecue, such as plates, nets, and charcoal, was provided, so I was able to visit with peace of mind. Also, it was helpful that the refrigerator and other items were in a position where you could touch them with your shoes on. It took time to boil the water for the open-air bath, but it was a very nice experience. The house itself had a very good atmosphere and was clean, so we had a pleasant stay.

We had a relaxing stay in a whole building. You can BBQ in the garden, there are plenty of chairs and sandals, and the kitchen is close and has plenty of cooking utensils, so it was very easy to use. It was still cold at night, but they prepared a kotatsu and I had a relaxing stay. In particular, they lent us the storehouse in the garden, and we were able to enjoy ourselves at night without worrying about the surroundings. There was an electric guitar, a bass, a classical guitar, and one amp, and the equipment was great. The hosts were also kind and kindly explained things. We would like to stay again.

My family and I stayed here for three days and two nights, and we definitely had amazing experiences here. We reached quite late around 7pm but Kyoko-san patiently waited for us, greeted us and gave nice tour around the house. Even the home owner and the other co-hosts were very attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. For the next two mornings, we were blessed; greeted by the lovely Mount Fuji and the view from the house was spectacular ❤️ We came here during the Eid month, so we even had family Eid photos here! Such memorable experiences, and we would definitely recommend this place to others :)

The house is comfortable to stay for longer periods, with more than enough cooking utensils, cutlery and plates and cups for cooking. Definitely visit the local hotspring, and Manyo park in Yugawara for a relaxed day out. There are also some local busses for commuting to the nearest supermarkets.

It is the best house we stayed in Japan, the surroundings are very quiet, the house is spotlessly clean, there are marks that have been meticulously maintained, the landlord and his wife are very warm and kind, pick us up from the station, the check-out will send us to the station, we dropped a tripod, the host and his wife drove us to Kawaguchiko Station by car, we are ready to buy a gift, the host and his wife have sent us a trip stand, so we are very sorry that we did not send a crown gift.
