Several restaurants with Greek, Chinese and German cuisine are close by, as are the public (sea water) indoor swimming pool and shops for everyday commodities.

With its beautiful Fieisenhäusern and wide views, the village exudes tranquility. From Midlum you can explore the island in all directions, by bike there are excellent connections, to the beach is about 4 km, to the museum "Art of the West Coast" in Alkersum about 1 km. The village is also the start and goal of Germany's northernmost marathon.
