We really enjoyed our stay at lakeside fishing retreats, we met and chatted with most of the staff and family and they were extremely friendly and welcoming. The pizza hut and Bar was lovely also, felt like a little local with such a friendly welcoming environment, the pizza's and cakes were delicious and the drinks are very reasonable priced too. Perfect place for anyone who loves to fish, but also close enough to the seaside for a day out only 20mins drive, the back to pure tranquility within the complex. Many thanks and we will endeavour to return in the near future.

Me and my 2 daughters recently stayed here and we had a lovely time. Laura and Ashley were extremely helpful! For example one evening we couldn’t get the fire pit going and Ashley spent ages trying to get it going for us which he did! It’s a very peaceful area with lots to do nearby, lovely local towns to visit etc.

We had such a lovely stay at Pam’s beautiful cottage. Everything you could ask for - home from home. Very peaceful surroundings and we really enjoyed the view looking out onto horses. Perfect location for the exploring the surrounding areas. Would definitely stay again if visiting the area again.

Words really do not do this lovely little hideaway justice. It’s even more than you can imagine. Jessica is an incredible host and everything was just perfect. My Mum and I stayed for 1 night. What an amazing place. Denise showed us around and was very informative, she showed how to use the Sauna and the Hot tub safely - the hot tub even has Bluetooth so we were able to enjoy some tunes. We had a wonderful time and even enjoyed a brilliant view of the magical sunset. Enjoyed the home made wine we purchased, it was delicious. In the morning Denise gave mum a bunch of flowers that she had picked in her garden. We would thoroughly recommend a night or two here.

Really lovely peaceful cabin. It looks smaller from the outside than it feels inside, id say perfectly formed with all you need for a relaxing break. We felt right at home straight away. We walked for miles with the dogs on the beach, almost had the whole beach to ourselves. I imagine in the summer it would be beautiful with the doors open out on to the deck, the lake is so peaceful. We will definitely be back. The Observatory around 2.5 mile walk each way on the beach was a lovely spot for breakfast, great coffee and lots of dietary requirements catered for (vegan, gluten free)

Simply fabulous stay at this beautiful, quiet chalet. A spotless, dog friendly getaway with a relaxing, fully enclosed back garden. I do love having a choice of outdoor seating spaces to choose from especially if they've got pretty lights. Everything you need to make your stay special. Super comfy beds, fully equipped kitchen, a lovely, lovely sunroom, awesome shower and less than a minutes walk to the sandy beach. The locally taken photographs added to the ambiance. If you're very lucky the lovely hosts will even book the sunshine and blue sky for you.

We had the best stay at this beautiful home! Amber was a great host and went above and beyond for us. The trampoline in the garden was a great extra we weren’t expecting and the kids loved the playroom too. The location is a bit out the way so need to drive to shops 10/15 mins but the village is beautiful and really couldn’t fault it. Would return & definitely recommend. Thanks again x

We stayed in one of the 2 person pods with my puppy and it was the best first stay for her and us! The area is so peaceful, scenic and only 10 minute drive from the local town which has so many shops! The hot tub was so easy to use and relaxing, BBQ just the same & created lovely food! Pod was small but we had just enough space for a couple and puppy. We had everything we needed. Big thank you to Natalie for allowing us to stay in one of your beautiful pods and amazing service! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family and will most likely be back ourselves! x

We had a lovely stay in our cabin! Had a dip in the hot tub the morning that we left and it was a great way to start the day! the hosts are so friendly and have beautiful dogs who came to visit! The amenities were great and it was truly like a home away from home, we did not want to leave. The cabin is closer to other ones than we expected, but it does feel very private and peaceful nonetheless. Cooking outside on the gas BBQ was lovely, there’s even a spot for a frying pan!! We would love to stay again and try a different cabin! Thank you for a lovely few days xx

This is a great location if you want somewhere close to Grimsby but don't want to stay in Grimsby. Helen was great as she gave us very clear directions as to how to find the place and was then there to meet us on arrival, showed us around the house and how everything worked. The house has been finished to a very standard. Overall a very enjoyable stay and we will book it again if we are back in Grimsby on business.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at the cottage. The place looks even better than the pictures and is in a great location. Everything was clean and tidy, including the hot tub. Sam was a very helpful and responsive host. We took advantage of the in house massage treatments that were offered which were fantastic. Both Sam and Elian were very professional and did a great job. It would however have been useful to have a few extra towels and simple amenities such as sugar/kitchen towels/milk. However there were other things available such as tea bags and coffee. Also, in case of larger groups staying it's good to be aware that though there are 3 bathrooms there is only 1 shower. Overall we had a lovely weekend and would definitely book again!

We had a great stay here exploring the surrounding countryside and seeing some family. Very lovely village you could walk around with a great play park if you have kids. Lovely pubs in the local area and lots of suggestions found in the welcome pack. Very grateful for the extras supplied like some croissants and milk. All the amenities plus extra (shampoo and conditioner in the shower if needed). They were very responsive when we had an issue with the heating on the first night and it was perfect for what we needed. Thanks!

A really friendly welcome. Accommodation was of a really high standard. Sparkling clean throughout and spacious. Really accommodating with parking arrangements and great location too. Within walking distance of lots of pubs and restaurants and the local supermarket. We really enjoyed our stay.

I had to book a last minute trip and this was the perfect location, I was blown away at the location and thought this was great value for money immediately! It was such a nice touch being provided breakfast and tea to make and it was really what I needed after some long busy days. I’d recommend this as a perfect place to stay when visiting the Lincoln area and surroundings.

The four of us were really happy to stay with Peta- even my youngish 20 something guests were taking photos of the setting - it is so v charming with the fish filled river and secluded oasis of a garden. Sleaford was an unexpectedly attractive historic bustling town. Loved it. Peta’s place was immaculate, the kitchen was very generously stocked and I loved the good quality bed linen- always nice. Definitely recommend. Only issue was the somewhat tight car driveway- but that was mainly because my rental car was the size of a tank.

A spacious bedroom features a large bed adorned with plush pillows and neatly arranged towels. Soft lighting is provided by bedside lamps. French doors open to a view of the outside, while light wood flooring complements the calming white walls.

A lovely little place with lovely hosts. The place is decorated really nicely, very clean, the whole site was lovely and the little enclosed garden was so nice to sit in when the sun was shining. Owners dogs can be a bit barky at times, which if you're in the annex attached to their house, is quite loud, but we're dog people so it didn't hugely bother us and didn't last too long. We'd definitely stay again!

This is now the third or fourth time I have stayed here. Great large open plan space. Beautiful and quiet. Just what was needed. I would definitely use this place again if needing to stay in the area. Highly recommended

Jeanette was an exceptional host and Laura’s Loft is the perfect place to stay when visiting the heart of my home county. We stayed for the British Superbike round at Cadwell Park and found it the perfect place, a real haven after a day of work, noise and chatter. I would highly recommend Jeanette’s little Wolds haven and would definitely stay here again should the chance arise next season.
