All the modern conveniences of dishwasher, microwave, shower and stove/fridge, washer & dryer. You'll never see the same sunset! My place is good for two people or solo adventurers.Full list of amenities available, but worth noting here that coffee is NOT provided. There is a drip coffee maker, as well as a spot for kpods.

Cozy up to the wood stove with a hot beverage. Work remotely with our high speed WiFi. We welcome up to two dogs for an additional fee.

You will have access to hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing and fishing steps from your door. There are two public boat landings within a mile. The place gives you a cabin feel close to La Crosse! 15 minute drive to downtown La Crosse and 3 miles North of Stoddard puts you in a great central location for the area. Mt. La Crosse is super close to enjoy skiing/snowboarding. Goose Island is 5 minutes away. Great spot for bird watching, fishing, kayaking, boat launches, hiking or frisbee golf. Pets are welcome. No cleaning fee!

Timber Creek Retreat

Get away for a restful stay at this scenic hidden gem of Vernon County. Timber Coulee Creek, a Class 1 trout stream, ripples right through the backyard. You will enjoy watching deer and turkey as they amble through the property. Bald eagles soar overhead and fish jump in the stream. Listen to the gurgle of the water flowing over the rocks and the music of the birds. Try your hand at fly fishing. Sit around the fire pit, roast marshmallows, watch the flames dance and the stars come out.

The "Gatekeeper" cottage has a natural gas stone fireplace in the living room, Full size sofa sleeper, full kitchen, full bath on the main floor and a half bath in the sleeping loft. (Need to be able to climb ladder stairs to lofted bedroom). A spiral staircase leads you down to the lower level which has an additional bedroom, queen sofa sleeper in the extra living room space, and full bathroom. The lower level also has a walk out french door to the patio area.

We welcome you to be our guest in our comfy, warm cabin nestled on the lower Wisconsin River. We are close to many area attractions including Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin, House on the Rock, American Players Theater, Wisconsin Dells, and much more! Activities include canoeing, fishing, hunting, shopping in quaint villages, or just relaxing watching the river... Our cabin is easy to get to and close to area villages but in a private setting.
